I will try to share as objectively as possible the nuances of our holiday in Melia Sharm in the first half of February. We took the Sinai only stamp at the airport, we were not going on excursions, do not forget to take a pen) Passed through passport control without problems and hitches, the employee only asked: "Only Sinai? " Confirmed , we went further. Several Teza buses were waiting for us, they take everyone to different parts of Sharm, which is quick and convenient, after 10-15 minutes they were in place. There were few people at the reception, they left things near the entrance (and not in the storage room), it started registration.
CHECK IN: we arrived at 11.00, since we are honeymooners)), then we wanted to check in, if not earlier than 14.00, then at least without problems. I presented sweets as a present and invested 20 ub. room in an hour and put on the bracelets right away. At the beginning of the conversation, she asked not to give a number out of 3000, as the sauna fan is buzzing there, overlooking the sea or the pool and the second floor. It’s problematic if you don’t know English, they have little Russian. , works with Russian-speaking guests, but saw her more often in the evening. Returning an hour later, we went to look at the room, which turned out to be just next to this fan hum, entered into a debate, fought each other for a long time, as a result, we found a room at the end of the hotel, the numbering is the end of 1000x , from the side of the door, a view of the construction site. The construction sites around the hotel are frozen, there is no noise, so we agreed.
ROOM: just super, second floor, partial view of the sea and Tiran, the rooms are all standard, everything worked, and the TV, and the plumbing, and the shower, there is a bidet in the bathroom, it’s comfortable, the furniture was almost new. I don’t know who had the gas light and water did not flow, and because of the short partition it flowed to the floor, everything was as it should be. Both the safe and the electric kettle worked, the only minus was a weak mini-bar refrigerator. the door to the bathroom, everything is insanely audible through the ventilation system. Upon arrival in the minibar, a large bottle of Cola, Fanta and mineral water. A couple of tea and coffee bags for free, all subsequent receipts are paid on request. bed and towels a little shabby, but clean, stains and hairs were not found.

CLEANING: left a dollar daily, towels should be thrown on the floor, and a special piece of paper should be put in bed, it lies on the nightstand upon arrival. Cosmetics: tolerable quality, shampoo, shower gel and body cream. For some reason, they do not update it daily. only when it is over. I cleaned it well, I didn’t twist the swans. On the first day they brought a cake, but there weren’t enough flowers for us. TERRITORY: greenery everywhere, flowers, a cascade of pools, gardeners row in them all day, clean. The hotel reminded me of the sun, where two-story branches of rooms radiate from the main building, in some places 3 floors. in general, all the rooms try to look at the sea and pool, there are no windows turned towards the construction site. The lawns are well-groomed, many with children on the 1st floor simply lay towels on it and doze off on the lawn in front of their room.
BEACH: huge, i. e. long, full of sunbeds, standing far enough from each other, the sand is clean, monitored, the pontoon is located at the very beginning of the beach, it is long, but the length problem is measured due to the wind, because the wind just chills the body when leaving, and it seems to be a long walk without a towel and unpleasant. The beach stretches far away, somewhere in the middle there is a beach bar, next to it in the wall there is a shower, and above the bar (near the dive club) there is a toilet. , we went swimming in Melia Sinai. There is a cozy beach, but small, everyone lies on each other's heads, the animation yells. But... a short pontoon, a gorgeous reef, there is practically no current. And there is no WIND. but there is no food, we had to throw things on the sunbeds and go back to our beach bar for a bite to eat.
TOWELS: they took them from home, because there is theft of towels, they occupy sunbeds, employees collect them, and our people take them from the same vacationers. Their own towels make you feel free. in the sea only from a pontoon, near the shore there is a dead reef, You can’t walk in Sinai, it’s allowed in Sharm, children splash on it, because it hits them almost up to the neck. they swim very close to people, there are fewer fish in Sharm, but the depth is greater, families of surgeon fish live under the pontoon, in the evening they are visible and invisible there. Tiran Island, people come even from other hotels, although they are chased, they were even seen from Sol Sirena, sawing along the beach for half an hour ((. Near the beach in Sinai there is a tent from the hotel, they sell strawberries and make delicious milkshakes. (For money). Starting from 11 am, yachts sail to Sinai, and they land in piles divers and snorkelers who utterly clog the water space near the reef, besides, at lunchtime, oil stains appear on the water from yachts. I almost didn’t see yachts on Sharm, and when they were, it was much further from the bathing area.
WEATHER: WIND, all the time, more in the morning, you don’t feel it much on the territory, but on Sharm beach it’s just a pipe. It was calm for 3 days, I want to believe that this is not always the case, but only in the wind season. In the morning and in the evening we went to sweaters or windbreakers, it’s hot during the day, about 30 degrees, people in the first days almost all burn out because of the wind, do not forget to protect yourself from the sun, it will overtake you even under an umbrella, the water was about 20 degrees.

ANIMATION: I won’t say, we didn’t go, unobtrusive, that’s for sure, there was a saxophonist a couple of times, we listened with pleasure.
POOLS: 4 large pools connected by bridges and waterfalls, and only one heavily chlorinated, but very warm, small children's pool overlooking the tyrant, which was wildly popular. one of the buildings on the ground floor has a free gym, there are also scales.
FOOD: the best in my entire life, we took Oll, served in the main restaurant Spices, there is a street veranda, but there is wind and flies, someone in the review wrote nonsense about cats that climb into plates, there are no words just... there there are 2 cats, they sit near the bushes, you treat them, they eat, no, no. cucumbers. cabbage. green salad. delicious bacon, oatmeal. muesli. yogurt, I added honey, nuts, coconut flakes to oatmeal. severe poisoning in the Hilton, they brushed their teeth only with bottled water, which is given out without restrictions in the lobby bar, did not eat soups, salads, fruits, additionally washed with bottled water, swallowing water in the pool is very dangerous too, many do not watch children, but they only do this do. Lunch: several types of soups, french fries, diet menu, full of vegetables, and eggplant. and zucchini, and pepper in different treatments, always 2 types of meat, 2 types of fish. 2 types of chicken, almost every lunch squid or octopus, delicious. Fruits are scarce: bananas, oranges, occasionally guava. tangerines, but they made a delicious dessert from sliced grapes, strawberries, melons and banana. Dinner: be sure to grill on the street (crabs, chicken, meatballs, kebab, fish), garnish the sea, sea vegetables, cook something from the oven (chicken, turkey, lamb, veal - on different days), fried noodles with squid and vegetables, a sea of meat and fish in vats for food, cakes for dessert. I didn’t come across dirty and chipped dishes, everything was fine, the waiter brought drinks on time, we waited a maximum of 7 minutes, linen napkins. There are no paper ones, as it should to be in a 5-star restaurant, we didn’t try wine. Stella-type beer from cans, Juices are tolerable, egi-quality, they are poured from packs, I didn’t take their alcococktails based on gin and rum, I don’t like it, I took only non-alcoholic ones without ice. Lipton tea is tolerable, sometimes not hot. I forced them to change, changed, coffee is simply unusable everywhere, even in lobby, cappuccino tolerable. Breakfast from 7-10.00, from 10-11.00 next to the pool barOGrill-there is a late breakfast (pastries, sausage, cheese and fruits, tea, coffee), from 11.00-17.00 Tiran View beach bar, cocktails, drinks, delicious hamburgers, fries, tuna sandwiches), lunch from 12.30-15.00, 16-17.00 Nestlé ice cream at the Gaby pool bar, it is also given for lunch, there are toilets everywhere near the bars, and showers near the pools. Dinner with 19-22.00, which is convenient, you have time to get hungry. There were no queues in the restaurant, there were free tables, if the dish was over, it was immediately updated, the people were not afraid not to have time to grab a tasty treat, they came to eat at different times, everything was ok. There are 2 paid restaurants - Aqua Italian and a fish restaurant on the way to Melia Sinai beach, they serve lobsters and king prawns.
INSECTS: mosquitoes were in the evening, they didn’t bite, they put a fumigator, flies got on the beach a lot, in the restaurant, only outside, other insects such as bedbugs, ants and spiders were not noticed in the room and restaurant.

WALKS: we didn’t go for a walk in Naama, at that time it was restless, we climbed the Melia Sinai lighthouse (entrance through the reception), took pictures, a beautiful panorama, walked towards the Baron along the beach past an abandoned hotel, there is a kind of boulevard, but a shopping arcade, where you can buy small souvenirs, there are also a couple of bars, one with a screen, you can watch sports.
SERVICE: we were satisfied. no one pestered. didn’t offend, the waiter was good and constant, Ekaterina called the room a couple of times, she was interested. not satisfied, there was even a mini-buffet, they were treated to cocktails, salads and grilled shrimp.
DISADVANTAGES (correcting which, the management will make the hotel perfect):
1) there are no fences from the wind. not at all...
2) there are no terry bathrobes and slippers. And the floor is tiled. .
3) in winter, with such winds, there is only 1 small heated pool, it would be possible to heat up three in the winter (the maximum load of the hotel is 1000 people, we had 70% occupancy, half were foreigners who don’t go to the beach at all)
4) something needs to be done about coffee!!
P. S. gentlemen, Slavs, let's behave with dignity, do not sing Ukrainian songs at one in the morning, preventing everyone from sleeping (like our neighbor), do not be rude to the servants and do not yell on the mobile phone on the balcony so that you can hear on the beach. do not collect so much food, especially meat , which is then completely left on a plate, and the waiter threw all this food into the trough (after all, there is almost hunger in the country).
despite the little things, I really liked the hotel, we will come back here again, but definitely not in the windy season.
