Was in mid-May 2010, finally sat down to write a review))
Immediately about the main thing.
I DO NOT recommend going to this hotel: people who want to get 6 * service and comfort for 3 kopecks - the comfort-price ratio is not in favor of the hotel; people looking for fun from night to morning - at 24:00 there is already deathly silence on the territory, except that the sounds of a "parochial" disco are heard from the beach, on which a couple of not sober compatriots are sausage; people with children - except for a couple of hours during the day (animators on the beach) and a mini-disco in the evening, there is nothing for children to do.
Another MINUS: old rooms, small territory.
I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone at all. And I myself will go there again)))) Really, VERY QUIET, OLD hotel with the best (IMHO) beach in Sharm and a gorgeous view.
Now in order)

Background (very briefly, so don't be scared; ) Having opened the 3rd year without vacation-sea-sun, I realized that I would go crazy if I didn't break out of this damn office. Escaped, with heavy losses (i. e.
without content), but for a whole week))) Friends just flew to Albatros Aqua Blue, decided to guess something closer to them, and (oh, miracle ! ! ) - optimally Beach Albatros - a common beach and in a few days before departure there are places! ! ! After reading reviews about the hotel, I cried, consoled myself with reviews about the beach and flew) If not for this situation, I would never have had such a great rest)
and now the bare and cold facts)))

CHECK IN, CHECK OUT and administration in general:
Check-in at 14:00, rooms must be vacated by 12:00. As usual, we were a little nervous at check-in, because we arrived at 11 in the afternoon, check-in at 2, there is not a single free room, and “our” tourists leaving after dinner refuse to vacate these very rooms, while other tourists ( we), tired and nervous from the road, really want to check into these rooms. But the bracelets were put on immediately and sent for a walk around the territory. In general, the guys at the reception are greyish, but adequate, like the bartenders.
The rest of the staff is emphatically polite and helpful. There were no problems at all with them. Yeah… basic English is sooooo desirable – you’d be better off. With one Russian - problematic. Fun fact: this is the first hotel in Egypt where I saw really working Arabs, from early morning until late at night: they washed, scraped, cut, swept - unusual for the eye)))).

NUMBERS:
Old, very old. The main building (contrary to many reviews) differs from the bungalow only in that the rooms in the main building are 2-room, and in the bungalow (what I saw) are 3-room.

In the room: large and comfortable beds (for me personally, the rest was already a success))))) + individual conders (working, and remotes too) in the living room and in the bedroom, a mini-bar (it closed with a kick, but it froze cooler than any pre-perestroika "Minsk"), a TV with 2 Russian-language channels (like Russia and Culture), 1 Ukrainian and a bunch of "not ours" (there are no musical ones), a shower with a curtain, a hairdryer ...what can I say about a hairdryer ...it is, but it there is no samdel, that is, it does not dry - bring your own.
Balconies are not available in all rooms. I didn’t have it, but nafik need it when it’s under 50 on the street? ? ? Are the windows small? And why are they? During the week of my stay, I never parted the curtains)))
Another useful fact: unlike most hotels, this one does not have shampoos-conditioners-shower gels-little pretty soaps.
Here there is only liquid soap in boxes fixed near the sink and in the shower - that's it, comrades, no bottles for you to give as a gift to relatives))))))) Take all the bells and whistles with you. In general, on the last day, having handed over the room, and then hanging out for another half a day on the beach (there was a flight in the evening), taking a shower with kind people in the room, I used this very liquid soap both as soap and as a shower gel, and as a shampoo - quite decently, not only did not peel off, but the hair lay well and this auto-style survived a 6-hour flight.
Fun fact: on the 3rd day, the “curtain” at the conder stopped opening, i. e. it turns on, makes noise, and wedges it) ...so, I didn’t take a steam bath, but just opened it with my hand, it’s fine like that, without straining with my 165 cm height)))

TERRITORY: small, but very cozy and well-groomed

NUTRITION:
excellent. To be honest, the first time I didn’t lose weight on vacation, not a single gram (usually a few kg.
minus stable), despite the fact that she swam madly and climbed Mount Moses and, of course, the many-kilometer shopping promenades every evening ...but not a gram ...that's the food there) meat and fish are always of several types in assortment, twisted, cut, Whole, whatever, fried, whatever you like, steamed, whatever you like on the grill… squid, not every day, but there were a couple of times a week. From fruits in May - citrus fruits, watermelons, melons, peaches seemed to be, but wild people grabbed them)) ...well, and of course, dates are unchanged)

Breakfast, lunch and dinner in the main restaurant. Buns for breakfast (and sort of for lunch? ) at the bar (Montimare Cafe). Lunch at a restaurant on the beach is not bad at all, the last couple of days we only left the beach in the evening, so we dined there - pizza, pasta (? ? ? seemed to be), hamburgers, salads, fruits.

BEACH:
Suuuuuuuuuuuuyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeuerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrd! ! ! One and a half kilometers of coral-sand happiness (moreover, well-maintained))))))))))

LOCATION:
successful.
A chic bay, and civilization nearby - a 7-minute walk from the hotel, if along the beach - "Metro" and the Old Town. A 5-minute walk from the main entrance of the Aqua Park and another 24-hour supermarket. 15 minutes - shopping street "1000 and 1 night" (low-quality consumer goods), away (you can walk, but we went by taxi) El Mercato shopping district (brand stores). For 2-3 dollars. (bargain!! ! )) you can get to Naama.

ANIMATION:
In the afternoon, a full set - volleyball, water polo, aqua aerobics, belly dance, kids club. For animation, you can still count the every second “Massage, madam? and the insane bartender “Russian? My mother is Russian - Katyushka, chaotically moving in space and always stoned with something))) In the evening ...only today and only for you at Montimare Cafe, again traditionally - mini-disco, Miss and Mr. hotel contests, 2 or 3 times weekly live music.
All this disgrace lasts until 11 at night, then a disco on the beach begins (something in the style of a rural disco), until 2 hours like, if there are people, if not, then at 12 they are already curtailed. And silence aaaaaaaaaa……. . ))))))

SUMMARY:
I repeat - I will not advise any of my friends and acquaintances - they will beat me, but I myself, if there is a good price, I would go there again)
But, if you have already bought a tour there, then a positive attitude is desirable with you, English, a hairdryer (if you have something to dry), and all sorts of soapy bells and whistles (if, again, there is something to wash))))
Good luck and have a great holiday; )

P. S. : Why would I go to this hotel again? Because I found there a minimum, but sufficient level of comfort for me and the right level of peace, while there is nowhere such a cool beach ...iiiiii ...You can’t even imagine what a thrill it is to sit there on the terrace above the cliff ...especially at night .. .
