Gorgeous private white sand beach, lagoon pool, 9 restaurants and bars, and a huge fresh water swimming pool (heated in winter). Facilities and services include an adults-only, partially enclosed saltwater hot tub, a children's pool, and a free evening shuttle (once a day by bus) to Soho Square. There is a kids club on site with a sleeping area and caregivers.
The restaurants host a variety of themed evenings. On my birthday at dinner, I was given a beautiful congratulation and a birthday cake. When we returned to the room there was champagne and a bowl of fruit. It was damn nice!
Relatively close to the hotel there is a local cafe with free Wi-Fi and the owner understands Russian. He cooks delicious local dishes. We went to him for dinner several times.
There is also a health club offering seaweed wraps and Egyptian massages. We were not there. But the young neighbors at the hotel liked it. Other activities include a gym, steam bath, beach volleyball, cycling and jogging. Enough entertainment.
We liked it very much. And after a few years, for some reason I thought: why don't we go there again? For a week! The pandemic, roughly speaking, got sick, the weather is vile, the birthday is not a very good month. And there is some kind of sun, by the way, everyone bathes in the sea. I am more in the pool. But I'm just a coward: I'm afraid of all living creatures.
So, I really wanted to share with you my impressions of this hotel. Maybe someone else was there? If so, did you like it there or not? And if someone is interested in the details, I will be happy to answer. Let's be helpful to each other!
Next, they gave us an envelope with cards from the room and indicated the direction of the room by hand. We demanded to give bracelets, tell us about the location of the hotel, where you can drink and eat, they finally put on the bracelets and called the porter and said that he would take us to the room. The room was on the 1st floor overlooking the wall of the inner closed courtyard, the slippers were worn. Before buying a tour, I corresponded with the hotel staff to help organize a family holiday and wish for a room on the 3rd floor.
Turning to the guest service, all issues were resolved and the concept of the hotel, location, etc. were explained.
During the rest, for all questions, they only turned to the guest service Darian, Ekaterina, who satisfied our requests and answered all questions, for which we thank them very much. The room provided to us was clean, tidy, then the room was cleaned well (although if you find fault with the curtains were dirty and the curtain was not partially attached to the eaves). The hotel is small but clean both inside and out.
The chefs cook very deliciously from appetizers to desserts, there was red fish for breakfast, several types of freshly squeezed juices, honey in combs, 2-3 types of fish, turkey meat, duck, lamb, veal, seafood, shrimp, squid. For dinner, they offered rose, white, red wine (wine is only packaged). But the waiters occupied tables along the window, serving with a poured glass, where Italians, Germans, etc. were invited.
When we sat down at a table served with wine, we were asked to change seats, since there were always enough places. Such an attitude was manifested towards all Russian-speaking guests, as the waiter can bring a glass of wine with lipstick drunk by someone (when ordering, he went to take it drunk from the table). I observed this situation 3 times for people, only with Russian speakers (and I got myself). There are enough sunbeds on the beach with an umbrella and a comfortable mattress (although the sunbeds are quite tired). The sun loungers are located at a comfortable distance from each other in pairs.
The distance from the hotel to the beach 300 meters along the promenade is not annoying at all. There is no toilet at all, the nearest one is 130m. at the Barona Resorts Hotel. The reef marked with buoys is mediocre next to the hotel Coral see sensatori is much more interesting, the fish are also mediocre. The sandy entrance is shallow 150 meters, we saw a stingray in the grass, we almost stepped on it, it is dangerous to follow.
The bay has been windy since November, in October the breeze blew what it needed, but the sea did not worry much. The Russian-speaking hotel is about 10-15%, 90-95% full. Separately, about the bar on the beach.
A Russian is normally understood only by one bartender who has all Mrs. and Mrs. , and with Russian-speaking, a shameless familiarity, despite the fact that in the bar on a permanent basis one manager allegedly controls the work. This does not prevent you from making a cocktail or coffee disgusting, or you suddenly run out of ice, coffee milk. After giving 20 pounds, the situation changed, everything was there and excellent drinks were even carried to your umbrella.
The food at the bar after 12 o’clock is local shawarma, french fries, which the chef put on his hands without gloves after washing the dishes (they lay in a box nearby), after the remark he smiled, we did not eat. Fruit was also present, but when asked to cut it, they pointed to the fresh plate for 45 pounds, they don’t understand.
Before the closing of the bar, the bartender's money was twitching in the presence of vacationers. In the Baron Resort 1 line, the bar on the beach, everything is much better, polite, neat waiters, a large selection of food and fruits, chips, everything is laid out and a gap, no need to beg.
The overall impression was spoiled by the reception staff, the waiters and the beach bar, the piano seat in the lobby was always empty, there was not enough music. Warm air, red sea, hotel area, waterfall and food brightened up our holiday. We hoped for a different attitude of the staff in this hotel, from other hotels in Egypt, the expectations were not met.
Liked the restaurant very much. He is here alone. Lots of food, lots of variety. You can't even taste everything. Everything is delicious, no complaints. The waiters carry drinks (alcohol, coffee, soda), everyone is friendly, behave tactfully and unobtrusively. Although perseverance sometimes does not hurt a tourist. This is not the first time in Egypt, and the high level of food quality in this hotel was unambiguously determined, as evidenced by the presence of good cheeses, fish, a variety of meats, a unique variety of pastries and natural juices. Tolerable beer and dry wine, but of course terrible whiskey and lipton tea, typical of local customs.
The hotel has one alley and a swimming pool divided into two zones. In one, the water is heated during the cold season, there are also two jacuzzi baths with a pleasant hydromassage. The sun beds are equipped with comfortable soft pillows, good untiring towels, there is a gym and an amphitheater for daily evening shows. In the morning, the entire paved area is washed, in the truest sense of the word. All sun loungers are wiped, umbrellas, lanterns, borders, edges of pools and so on.
I note that the main tourists in the hotel are Italians, French, a few Ukrainians and Egyptians.
The main pastime is the sea. Awesome reef!! ! Better than in Nabq. The sea in the bay is always calm. Having overcome a long pontoon, we descend into the world of fish and corals. There are no noisy caretakers, and the island of Tiran rises on the horizon of the sea. Perhaps the best coral world is only there.
We went on an excursion from a guide to the island with a dive. The places there are beautiful, but you can arrange such an excursion near the hotel, a lot of local offers, on a small boat in less time from our own pier, try either diving near the hotel, or go to neighboring Tirana in an inflatable boat and also dive, because all excursions yachts depart from the port of the old city, you need to get there, collect all the transfers, shove on the pier, finally, board the yacht, and drive back past the hotel to Tirana by sea.
The beach is clean, everything is in order, there is a bar, we play volleyball, gymnastics is held at 9 o'clock, at 11... 12 aqua aerobics. Further, the territory of the Baron Resort Hotel, there with the children, is noisier. By the way, gorgeous sand and sunset, children from the rhizomes swim perfectly, there is a large sandy area in the water, then there are 50 meters of dead corals up to the cliff, so there are few fish, but they swim to the children.
Thanks to the Baron for the hospitality, we enjoy the sun, there is almost everything for this here.
For those who are looking for flaws, they will always be found. Plastic panton, plastic cups for drinks on the beach, no internet throughout the hotel.
But we liked the rest and this is the first hotel where we want to return again. He is worth his money.
Many thanks to the girls at the reception for the help of Yulia and Victoria, all issues were resolved quickly, even our lost toy was found. A trifle, but the memory of the rest consists of these trifles.
Rudeness from the first minutes of settlement. Such persons that we came and rest at THEIR expense.
Unsanitary conditions - all glasses and cutlery stick to hands, there is a trace of lipstick on the mugs and glasses (wait at the bar and see how they rinse the dishes.
E. coli in this hotel is simply provided for you and not at all from the pool, but from their unsanitary conditions.
The best part was the reef! It is really very good, there are a lot of fish. Take masks and enjoy) But it's better to take the Baron Resort there, although the territory and restaurants are normal.
With settlement. . . it got hot, although I understand that this is more of a problem for the operator, and not for the hotel, but the travel agent booked us a family - 2 rooms. And we were placed in a one-room suite, which is not stated in the description of the operator, we spend the night in a room not of our category. The operator, or rather the operator's receptionist, cannot find the last person who is to blame for the fact that the hotel, as it turned out, has 2 rooms of the family category, a one-room family (which was not on the website in the operator's description and in which we live now) and the second room family - two-room, for which we paid money to the travel agent!
For the second day, the host company has been looking for someone to knock down money from now in order to move us to the room for which we paid... The baron, although empty, does not go to meet us to give us our number, although the host is stupid with the description of the rooms !
I don’t want to name the operator yet, they will suddenly please them and something will be decided . .
We are in Sharm el-Sheikh 5 times (first time in Baron, so there is something to compare with. I have a family of 4 people: me, my husband and two teenagers aged 13 and 15).
For the 7 days that we were here, the number of residents did not exceed 40 people, but this did not affect the service and quality of food in the restaurant in any way. True, only 3 A la carte work, but there is enough food anyway. All the staff are smiling, they will find out your habits in drinks and food in two days, they are always glad to see you.
The beach is sandy and very clean, not a single cigarette butt. Wooden sunbeds are comfortable, the boy constantly wipes them from the sand. The bar on the beach works perfectly, they will not refuse you anything there, they bring you an order for sunbeds with a smile.
The rooms are large, there is everything you need in the bathroom (except toothpaste and brush), you will also find two pairs of slippers in the closet (which is very nice). Once you wash things for free. Bedding is changed daily.
There are animators and they try very hard to entertain tourists. Because of the lack of people, they play billiards, teness with you in the evening....so that you are not bored.
In short - we liked it.
