Hello everyone! Rested at the Amarante Garden Palms from 15 to 22 September with a friend. Tour operator Coral Travel. We flew from Vnukovo with Red Wings. The flight (both there and back) took off almost on time, they met us centrally at the airport, put us on buses, drove us to the hotel quickly (it is located near the airport, planes constantly flew by, but it didn’t bother us at all). What I immediately liked was the opportunity to choose a room myself (when I politely asked to provide us with `some good number`). Me and another tourist were escorted to different hotel rooms on different floors. As a result, we settled on rooms on the 2nd floor overlooking the inside of the hotel (on the outside, the view is rather poor almost everywhere). The room is good, on the sunny side, normal air conditioning, the ceiling is made in the form of a dome (although it is made of dark brick, so it looks a bit like a dungeon or a tomb or something like that). The main disadvantage of the room is very little lighting, in the evening after 20 it is very dark (well, maybe it's just that we were unlucky), but the room had only a side floor lamp (the bulb in which burned out 2 days before departure, we didn’t change it, even though we asked, but not much demanded, it seems) and a table lamp. Both lamps were surrounded by black metal lampshades with stars, months, etc. carved into them; in short, it was dark in the evenings. Room service is good, every day they brought 2 juice bags and a bottle of water. Once they made a swan figurine out of towels for us, the room was cleaned well every day, only the bed linen was not changed (it seems that they have never been changed for the whole week). There was also a slightly strange shower in the bathroom. There, instead of a shower tray, the floor was slightly lower than in the other part of the bathroom, and the shower part was fenced off with a glass partition. Therefore, it was impossible to use this place as a bath, although it also did not bother us at all. TV in the room shows 3 Russian channels, 2 of which play Russian pop. That's about the number. The hotel area is small, but well-groomed, no complaints. There were enough pools, sunbeds (although this is due to the small number of vacationers).
Now about nutrition. To be honest, I'm somewhat disappointed in it. Before leaving, I read that there is just a round-the-clock belly feast, but IT'S NOT SO. About everything in order. First of all, I’ll say that I try to approach the issue of food very carefully so as not to get poisoned (there were such cases with us, and I think one case is enough), so I try not to eat various exotic fruits and dishes, dairy products such as sour cream, mayonnaise (and salads with it), yogurt, etc. , although he still drank milk, well, it’s easy to distinguish normal milk from stale milk. The whole buffet was not too varied, and almost the same from day to day. So breakfast. An omelette is prepared in front of you with possible fillers: tomatoes, onions and peppers. Boiled eggs, pancakes (thick and not very well fried) with jam, cakes (all sticky, although some of them are delicious, and there are very few napkins), various cereals with milk, and croissants. Here. There is also a fruit salad (which is hardly called a salad, because it consists of 2 fruits in total) and various yoghurts, which I did not dare to eat. From the drink they served very tasteless juice of 2 types of yuppies, so I drank tea or coffee. I must say right away that breakfast is until 10 o’clock in the main restaurant, the rest of the bars open only after 10. After breakfast, a bar near the reception and a beach bar open. The latter worked with some interruptions, because. the bartender often left, but oh well. They mostly served drinks (at least I didn't take anything else there). Dinner. I often went outside, where it was always hot or windy (or both), but sometimes I went to the main restaurant. They served a semblance of hamburgers, so no one mastered it, and so they ate pasta (which they always had) and kura in its various manifestations, sometimes tasty, sometimes frankly not. You could also get potatoes, gravies, etc. , and from the essential, everything seemed exotic or tasteless to me. And they also made pizza there, the filling of which was almost always minced meat with some spices. At the end of the rest, it already seemed to me too tasteless to eat, because it was also served every day in approximately this form. From drinks there it was already more diverse, they were taken not in a restaurant, but directly from bars, sometimes they were brought by order. Dinner. Started at 19:00 (I don't know if there was food between lunch and dinner) in the main restaurant. The menu is about the same as at lunch, but without pizzas, hamburgers, but the chicken there was often tastier, and they also served very good cakes and cakes - delicious. Dinner, in theory, went late, in theory, after it you could order a light snack at the bar, I didn’t take it myself, but I was told that it was very meager.
We figured out the food, now about the service. Here I will tell you about the MAIN disadvantage of the hotel. The hotel is occupied by flies. They don’t seem to be poisoned by anything, they aren’t caught, so there are a lot of them everywhere: in rooms in restaurants, in bars and, especially, on the territory: you won’t be able to sunbathe normally, there are a lot of them and they are very annoying. They just got me. Also, as I said, the change of linen in the room is very rare (if they changed at all), the light bulb was not changed at my request (I also talked about this). I will add about towels. We got together for a tour. Departure in the morning. On the table for issuing towels it says: from 7.00. But not only are the towels not available by 8, but it looks like they can't even bring them on request. Well, yes, a trifle, but unpleasant, from such trifles one gets the impression. In conclusion, I’ll also say positive things about the service: the staff is friendly, although sometimes they like to make fun of tourists, especially in restaurants, they don’t require tips, in principle they serve normally, helpful. A free bus runs regularly to the sea every hour, in the evenings, by appointment, a bus to Naama Bay and the Old Town also runs free of charge. There are 2 Russian girls among the staff: 1 - at the reception, 2 - in the animation). Now just about animation and entertainment. In the middle of the day, various gymnastics and games are held, so you can have fun. In the evenings, first a children's disco, and then some show programs, interesting, almost always with the participation of the audience, from 23 - a disco, also quite normal. On the territory of the hotel there is a small entertainment club - Mirage Club, which is open in the evenings, there is billiards, darts, tables for playing chess and backgammon, plus a good menu and drinks, one evening we were lucky to listen to live music and watch oriental dances , was very interesting.

About the tour guide. His job with us was to 1) provide us with tours and 2) let us know we were leaving the hotel. 1) excursions are expensive, you can find much cheaper, at least 1.5 times, rip off, in short. It seems that the only plus is that you are picked up from the hotel and brought to the hotel. And that's it. If you want to save money (and save a lot), and you are not afraid of tour services from outside, then do not go on excursions from your hotel guide, they are much more expensive. We all ordered more from home, found the site of the One Tour company, entered in the search "we will introduce you to Egypt" and immediately got to their site onetour-egypt. ru. 2) the notice is posted on the stand on the day before departure by about half past nine in the evening, you won’t find out about this information earlier.
About Sharm El Sheikh. I did not understand at all why it is more expensive than Hurghada. Because of the earlier historically formed Egyptian resort? I don't believe in this excuse. Maybe because of the more beautiful coastline? Maybe, but I can say that it disappointed me. About the beaches of the hotel. There are two of them: one in the Naama Bay area, belongs to the gafy hotel, there is a sandy entry, the second belongs to the Tropicana hotel, there is a coral entry into the sea. To summarize, I’d better go to Hurghada, it’s cheaper there, the entry into the sea is better, the excursions are no worse (for example, from Hurghada we went to El Gouna with a visit to the coral reef, which was much more beautiful than the reef on Ras Mohammed, where we went from Sharm El Sheikh, and even cheaper). Here is my opinion. I hope I was able to help you with the choice, remember
where the cost of the trip was cheaper that all of the above applies to a stay at the hotel, Amarante Garden Palms, the cost of similar hotels in Sharm.
