My husband and I were in Amarante. Beautiful and clean area, excellent food - meat, fruits, vegetables, greens in abundance. You will lick your fingers pastry. Local red wine and local beer are of very decent quality. The room is comfortable, a luxurious bed with an excellent mattress. Cleaned and change towels every day. Yes, the sea is far away, but the bus is at your disposal and personally I have never seen a crowd of people who want to go to the sea. Most tourists lie around the pool like vegetables all day and drink beer and don't even swim. The animation leaves much to be desired, but my husband and I have been married for 10 years and we have 2 children and we came to Egypt for exotic (excursions), relaxation from household chores and romance for two. We got all this here and are already planning our next vacation.
