It seems that the hotel buildings were originally built not as a hotel, but as resort residences, which are part of the Port Ghalib investment project. This explains the lack of a hotel area as such. Not that it's a big minus. Walking from the room to the restaurant was even fun. Narrow passages, non-obvious transitions. There are two swimming pools around which three-story buildings are located. There are rooms overlooking the sea (read the marina with yachts and restaurants), the Garden (since the green area is exclusively around the pools, I don’t even know where these rooms can look, they probably overlook the back of the hotel, onto the road), to the pool (the best option), and to KHAN (these are shopping streets). The buildings that are closest to the beach have souvenir shops on the ground floors, and rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors.

We booked the Executive Suite. Unfortunately, the room turned out to be the biggest disadvantage of the hotel. An ordinary, not cozy two-room suite, with a minimal set of furniture.

Especially irritated were hard and high pillows, as if sofas, a hard mattress, old bedding, a loud creaking door to the bathroom. Sometimes rusty water flowed from the hot faucet. The child's mattress was completely collapsed. The duvet cover is torn and does not fit the duvet. True, after the first request to replace him, he was replaced. You have to give credit to the service. Everyone is attentive, friendly, you don't have to ask twice. Lots of staff, always willing to help. Service is a plus of the hotel.

The second and last plus was the food. Varied, delicious.

There is a water park across the street from the reception. Zone for kids, and 4 slides for older ones.

It was a 10-15 minute walk from us to the beach. But we lived near a large pool, these are the most distant buildings. From the main building to the beach, probably 5 minutes. The beach of this hotel is the very first, closest to the marina. There were always enough sun loungers, although we arrived late.
It was written here that only at Sunrise Beach there is a sandy entrance to the sea, but that is not so. There are two more beaches behind Sunrise Beach, they all have a sandy entry, and moreover, the sandy bathing area is wider than that of Sunrise.

Here you need to talk about the marking of areas for swimming and snorkeling. Since there is a fairway nearby, where yachts often sail, the bathing area is separated by buoys. There is also a deep area above the reef for snorkeling and diving. From the shore to the white buoys there is a sandy zone, white buoys mark the beginning of the reef, and you can’t swim beyond them, because it’s shallow and the corals are too close. Between the whites and the reds, you can snorkel, this is the edge of the reef and it is deep, but the entries into this zone are strictly defined on each beach: Sunrise has a sand passage (strictly marked), the rest - from pontoons. Perhaps this was meant when it was said that the sandy entry was only at Sunrise ...

As for the reef, we swam along it all the way to the permitted edge, this is behind the second pontoon ...
Yes, not bad, there are a lot of fish, but to be honest, I liked the house reef at the Mercure Hurghada hotel more. Perhaps you need to move to the opposite side of the strait, and it would be more colorful there, I don’t know ...


As for the contingent - only Europeans, not a single Russian-speaking one. From Hurghada airport we got an individual transfer, because there was no one else on our flight to Marsa. Landed, immediately started, arrived in 2.5 hours.

In general, not bad, for a 7-day holiday is suitable.
