We went on vacation with my daughter on last-minute trips. Chose another hotel online. When I came for a ticket, there were no tickets to that hotel. Suggested Shoni Bay. Very cheap. Paid. Came to work, read the reviews and was upset. So now I'll try to be objective.
We went from Pegasus. No complaints about them. Everything is on time. All precautionary. They explain how to fill out a visa, where to buy a stamp. From Hurghada airport it is really a long drive to Marsa Alam. Our hotel was the third. The guide on the bus made us laugh. He told me how to communicate with Arabs using sign languages. The bus is comfortable. With air conditioning, toilet and TV. You can take a ticket with a landing at Marsa Alam Airport. (We had people in the hotel who landed at this airport). But they took vouchers for several months, and not like us - for a few days. And the tickets cost them about twice as much. We arrived at night.
Settling without problems and without pulling money. All rooms with sea view. I asked for a second floor and they provided it. They took our luggage to our room. They showed everything where (air conditioning, refrigerator). Gave 1 dollar. The rooms are big. The balcony is huge. There is no shampoo in the bath. There is only liquid soap. The furniture is not new, but, most importantly, everything works. For two there was one huge bed, one and a half. The only thing was that there was no safe in our room. You could ask - they would bring. We didn't. We haven't lost anything. And in general, there was no talk that something was stolen from tourists. There is no water in the refrigerator. We brought a bottle with us. You could buy it on the bus. $1-2 small bottles or one big one. There is no exchange office in the hotel. But everywhere they willingly take $. They made us almost every day figures from towels with flowers. The linen was changed. Left only 1 time 1$. Breakfasts are monotonous: vegetables, salads, potato casserole, their sausage, some cheeses.

Omelet or scrambled eggs (whatever you like). Pancakes or pancakes. Some kind of pastry. They said the pastry was delicious, I just don't eat it. Naturally, far from the variety of food in Turkey or Tunisia. For lunch and dinner they always give meat, fish, chicken. In some review I read that they give chicken or fish in pieces. In fact, you put the meat yourself, they really put chicken or fish on your plate, but as much as you want. Fruits were only oranges and dates. The fish restaurant was closed. There were no snacks between breakfast, lunch and dinner. Whoever wanted could take food to the room or take it to the beach. We had enough of everything, we were not hungry. Even the soups were quite edible. The stomachs didn't hurt. But we drank drinks without ice. There is no wine. only for money. But the rest of the drinks are not diluted! Bottled beer. Quite normal. I liked Fanta Rum. Pour into disposable cups. You can take a lot at once, for the whole company.
none of the bartenders looks askance. There are no lines anywhere. Sunbeds on the sea and by the pool take a little light is not necessary. Take as many towels as you like. Our company was located both at the sea and at the pool. There were no issues with the mattresses either. Charging every day. Aqua aerobics was once, since the pool near the restaurant is deep, and music is not heard in the other pool. Water polo, darts - whenever we want. The beach is really the best. In other hotels out of 8 days, only 3 could swim. And we have every day. Sunset-sand. It is possible without special slippers. I recommend buying a snorkel. Very beautiful underwater world: corals, colorful fish, turtles. At the hotel, the mask costs $ 20-25, we went to the port of Khalib (I recommend visiting a fish restaurant there), they bought a mask, slippers, a rafatka (safari scarf), 2 magnets for $ 25 + parchment as a gift. To the port to go 10-12 minutes. The car costs $30 round trip. Can collect 11 people.
, then a minibus for $ 6 per person will take you there and back . . And they bring and wait 3 hours. Of the excursions, we were only on a super-safari. $80-85 per person from Pegasus, Tez tour-$65. We really enjoyed. Quite for such a number of emotions do not feel sorry for this money! On the way back to the airport, we were given dry rations at the hotel. (We left the hotel at 1:30 am). In general, if you are a positive person, love a good company, great sea and do not want to pay a lot for a ticket, then welcome to Shoni Bay! (There were people in the hotel who come to this hotel several times. )
