We rested at the Kahramana Garden Resort 4 * from November 24 to December 1. In my review, I will try to address those questions that I have not found answers to by reading the reviews of others. We went to Marsa Alam for the sake of the sea and its inhabitants, so I will start with this.
BEACH. It was stormy almost every day on the hotel beach and it was allowed to enter the sea from the pontoon only in the morning, and even then not always, depending on the strength of the waves. The flag was usually red. It was possible to swim from the pontoon only in one direction (against the current). On the beach there are quite large lagoons near the coast, to which the waves do not reach. You can always swim there, but there are no corals and there are very few fish. They are great for kids or those who can't swim. The maximum depth is up to the chest. The reef itself, compared to Sharm, seemed poor to us and there were few fish, so we went to Abu Dabab Bay. Free trips to this bay is a huge advantage of this hotel.
From other hotels they take you there on an excursion (for Pegasus, such an excursion cost $ 45). For us, the trips were absolutely free (although the Pegasus guide said that we would have to pay for entry and a sunbed, but this is not true). In this bay, the beach is always open. The entrance to the sea is sandy, coral reefs are located on the right and left sides along the coast. There is no reef in the center of the bay, but grass grows on which turtles graze. This is exactly what it is worth going to Marsa Alam for. I never expected to see such huge turtles (about 1.5m long)! And there are quite a few of them. The reefs at the edges of the bay are not bad, but to be honest, Sharm has better reefs and more fish there, and storms are much less common. But such healthy turtles and in such numbers can be seen, probably, only here. The bus from the hotel went according to the following schedule: there at 8:00.9:00.10:00.13:30.14:30; you could leave back at 12:00.12:30.16:30. Ride min. 10 on the highway (not walking distance).

The bus must be booked at the hotel the day before the trip. Bus one for two hotels (Kahramana Garden and Kahramana Beach). Only 6 places are given for our hotel in the record (there are 25 places in the bus). It can be difficult to sign up for the first 2 morning flights, but this does not mean that you will not leave. You can go to the bus and there are often empty seats. Starting from 10 o'clock the bus rides half-empty, you can not even sign up. At the Kalimer Khabib hotel (these 3 hotels have one owner and a common territory), the bus is larger than ours, it always drove past us half empty, but did not pick us up. It is better and safer to swim with fins, as strong currents often occur due to storms. Fins can also be bought at the hotel (they cost from $20). There are 2 hotels in Abu Dabab Bay: Sol Y Mar and Aqua Blue. There is no hotel bar in the bay, so you need to take it with you. /

HOTEL - small, cozy, located on the 2-o1 line. The windows of all rooms overlook the decorative patio. It has a common territory with Kahramana Beach 5* and Calimera Habiba 5*.
You can freely walk around the territory of these hotels. Kalimera Habiba is a very large, beautiful and green hotel. In the evening it is very pleasant to take a walk and lie down by the sea, while you will meet very few people. Around the hotels desert. Taxis can only be called upon request, but are very expensive. The contingent in the hotel is mostly Russian-speaking. But the staff in Russian knows only a couple of words. They know English and Italian.

FOOD - in our hotel we had breakfast and dinner, we dined in Kahramana Beach, which is about 8 minutes walk. In our hotel, the range of dishes was very weak. In Sharm, they feed like this only in triplets. Of course, you will not starve, but if you are picky in food, then you will not like it here. The lunch at Beach was much better and there was more fruit. There were no problems with water, they were given in bottles of 0.6 liters for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If finances are not running out for you, then it is better to go to Kahramana Beach.
It is on the 1st line, the food there is much better and the rooms speak more. Or in Kalimer Khabib there is even cooler.

SHOPPING. Each of these 3 hotels has souvenir shops. Their prices are different, but quite high. Fruit is not sold anywhere. On the way back to Hurghada (3.5 hours drive to the airport), we were taken to an oriental sweets shop, which was opened by the director of Pegasus. The prices there are outrageous. And if the seller told you that a box of Turkish delight or halva costs $10 or $13, it doesn't mean anything. Look at the box, there is a price sticker (like in supermarkets), which you will pay. In our case, instead of $13, we paid $20 (for one box). There is also a shop with very expensive fruits: dates $ 4 / kg, mango and guava $ 10 / kg (in Sharm, dates and guava market $ 1, mango $ 4). You won’t be able to bargain there, there are a lot of people, they stand in line. Be careful with change, because the seller has a tendency not to give it.
People in this store are all rowing, thinking that this is the last chance to buy something and that there will either be nothing at the airport or it will be even more expensive. But in vain! The airport in Hurghada is a big market, with a bunch of shops where prices are very affordable and you can bargain a little. For example: a box of Turkish delight $6-7; halva 4$; oriental sweets up to $10. And there are all kinds of souvenirs, T-shirts, towels, in a word, everything except fresh fruit.
