In September 2015, we rested at Kahramana Beach Resort 5 * in Mars Alam, Egypt.
There are 3 hotels nearby (one with a water park, we went there for free, including Russian animation), there are shops and a pharmacy.
Our territory was very beautiful, greenery, flowers, bushes, romantic bridges, stairs...
The room itself is very spacious, large terrace with a daybed and an armchair. For several days I slept on the terrace to the sound of the waves!
They settled us immediately and without any "surcharges", a room with a sea view.
From our bungalow to the sea was 1 minute ...to the pontoon - 5 minutes. The photo shows our paths to the sea.
Very nice 3 level swimming pool... like steps into the sea.
They fed deliciously. The only thing - I do not advise you to go to the "Italian restaurant a la carte". This is such a ridiculous establishment that it is difficult to call it a restaurant, especially Italian (so as not to discredit Italian cuisine). This is the only negative in the hotel, but since this visit is only possible once per stay, I would advise you to avoid it.
And the main restaurant delighted every day - new dishes all the time, and pastries ...
The hotel has a large beach: 2 sandy lagoons and a pontoon with a VERY beautiful reef. I must say that the reef is the MOST beautiful and rich in many species of fish - from what I saw in Egypt, and I have been there 9 times already ...so it was not in vain that I went to Mars Alam. Yes, there are a lot of sunbeds, no queues “from 6 in the morning”, towels and things were left completely free, nothing was lost either on the beach or in the room.
The weather was just wonderful, the sea was almost hot, certainly more than 30 degrees. The air is very warm, but no longer hot like in summer, there was a little fresh breeze, especially in the evenings. The waves were strong for several days, but it was possible to swim near the pontoon.
And I also went on an excursion on a yacht - I swam with dolphins in the open sea.
Everything was wonderful, only there were ten times more people than dolphins ...but I must say that it felt like we didn’t bother them much - they easily swam away from us! After the dolphins, we were taken to swim on the local reef, and although the corals there were VERY beautiful, there will still be more fish on our hotel reef ...
I did not go to Luxor, although at first I was going to. Because by chance I heard from tourists that the road (200 km west of Mars Alam) takes ...6 hours one way ...when I was very surprised and asked the hotel guide, he admitted that there are few Russian tourists and therefore ...they first take us to Hurghada (260 km to the north), they get a bus there, and then everyone is taken together to Luxor ...in general, I didn’t like it.
And we also went 2 times to Abu Dabab Bay, it's only 10 minutes from the hotel to go by hotel bus, but for a fee -2 euros per person. there is a lagoon-sand, and 2 reefs.
the left reef is more interesting there than the right one (but you have to overcome the boredom of the first 50 meters ...- very gray, dead. Beautiful corals start further away). I didn’t see turtles there, but they say that they come. but we had more and more beautiful fish on the hotel reef!
some tourists on the forums complain about low tides, but I just “didn’t notice” them - I swam from a pontoon almost all the time. And when I returned to lie down and sunbathe on the beach, I didn’t care whether the sea had gone there or not. Although in the lagoons it was always possible to either waist-deep or neck-deep to find a place to sit in the water. But I love to swim, look at the fish, and not just swim.
There were few Russian tourists, about 30 people, mostly Italians, Germans, Poles rest there. It’s very quiet on the territory, it’s as if there are no people - in fact, everyone just “disperses” into dozens of secluded places, and a wonderful illusion is created that EVERYTHING is just for you ...
The animation at the hotel was in Italian, so we went to the Russian program several times in the neighboring Kahramana-4 *.
In general, I recommend Kahraman, the hotel was just wonderful - beautiful, comfortable.
