This was my second stay at this hotel. I want to point this out, so I had high expectations!

This time I came with my daughter. The first shock was that I didn't have the same room. Before leaving the hotel in June, I confirmed my booking directly at the front desk. Hmm, yes, we have what we have. Unfortunately the bathroom door didn't work and there was also a problem with the main door. The cleaning lady immediately came to check if we needed anything and if everything was ok. Therefore, I reported the problem and solved it in a few minutes. Our suitcases arrived there. And the cleaning lady brought more clothes hangers into the closet...In fact, it was the interaction of several hotel workers over time. Was that a little weird??? ? Did no one object before us? Or has no one lived here yet?

The food at Amara is truly excellent. You will find yourself in Europe. Steak, salmon, eggs Benedict...You can visit 2 à la carte restaurants.

My problem is that I want to try real Egyptian food. When I approach the chef and ask him for masha, everyone lights up and automatically shows me what is on the buffet menu today that is typically Egyptian. And what will happen tomorrow. If I've already eaten this...And I am grateful for this VIP service. After all, how many times a year do I go to Egypt, right? Unfortunately, I did not experience this added value in Amara. I don't know if the cooks understood English or didn't understand my poor English. Unfortunately, only Umm 3ali and milk soup were left. I tried the pickled lemons and stuffed artichokes. That's it. I was sad. I found a few more dishes on the beach restaurant menu and tried them right away. But, for example, the second restaurant by the pool did not work because there were few guests. But I found out much later. I'd still like to go back to eggs Benedict for breakfast. Here we can find the entire menu, consisting of approximately 8 types.
Because my daughter and I like it, we study what will happen today and what will happen next, which we haven’t had before…. And the world is amazed. Another problem with English. No problem, we point to the menu and the answer points to 2 plates on the counter...something like here, choose whether you want salmon or meat. So, let's choose salmon. The bun was toasted a while ago so it's not warm. I'm trying to explain that I want to warm up. In vain. I give up. I put all this one on top of the other, and on top he asks me about the bandage. I roll my eyes and laugh and my daughter corrects it all. I already know that this was my first and last egg.

The hotel offers a variety of entertainment options. You can read a short report at each bar or reception. So I was happy to choose something every day and also learn something new…. Zumba, it was only because I was there with my daughter and some little girl joined us.
There was no belly dancing, there were no people. No Arabic class, few animators. No bachata either. I took photos of the day's activities and went straight to the animator to see what would happen that day. This is what I would choose...no, it won't be like that. So the simple question is, what will happen today, Will there be anything? Water polo, okay, let's go. Or water aerobics, meditation on the pier, relaxing exercises in the pool. My daughter loves volleyball. Only once during your entire stay. Too bad the paper on all the bars wasn't true. Perhaps it was enough for some to simply adjust to reality.

But, for example, a fruit party, cooking havasha (such a little cooking) or making your own drink with dancing animators is really enjoyable.

I just felt bad that all the hotels were showing a mango party with various cakes, cupcakes and buns, drinks and beautifully presented fruits... it was mango season in Egypt at the time. And only once at dinner there were sliced fruits. And not to lie, one day a mango was delivered to our room. I just met the waiter with a large tray. They must have seen me at dinner that I went to add mango three times.

Compared to our stay in June, we also did not receive chilled towels at the beach or the cucumber mask that my daughter and I were looking forward to. She didn't believe me! Nobody came to wash the glasses. And even during the day they didn’t go to the beach with popsicles or chocolates like last time. Only once were they offered Egyptian sweets.

What I want to praise is the evening program.
The animators were always preparing something, and there was also an accompanying program from professionals. It was nice to sit in the lounge and watch. The animator Tef always found a moment for me, so we laughed a lot. He wanted to learn a few Czech words and I wanted to learn Arabic.

The last thing I would like to point out is the mess in the water. Personally, I think this comes from 99% of the boats that tour here. Unfortunately, this really annoys me. So, I caught a pet with some unidentified contents. Yes, I had to walk a little on the rocks, but you're welcome. I'm not going to wallow in this and I'm not going to pretend I don't see it!! ! . I threw the pet on the beach at the entrance. I just went scuba diving. I naively thought that one of the staff or guests would pick it up and throw it in the nearest trash container. That day I came out of the sea on the other side and didn’t even remember the song.
Well, now it's time to praise the staff. The guys were really great. Whether it's the guys in the cafeteria or the beach bar. Everyone always fulfilled, asked, brought, invented. Everyone is attentive, smiling and kind. And what I noticed was the cleanliness. Unreal! The beach bar was clean every minute, as if nothing was being prepared here. It was not difficult to prepare a Mojito for me using the special sugar I brought with me. The guys already remembered this and asked where you got the sugar and straws. Of course, in a bag on the beach. As a true environmentalist, my daughter had to have her own special stainless steel straws

stainless steel - mixers, because only 10% of them can be recycled.
I would like to thank everyone for their help when my daughter got sick. Or take away. I'll explain it to you. We had insurance, which was not accepted at the hotel clinic. So the insurance company sent us the car.
He immediately found it and, through a translator, told us what to use and what not to use, and most importantly, why not. The daughter was given antibiotics for 3 days and medications. Our insurance company reimbursed us for the cost of the medication. So my daughter really enjoyed her vacation and I was able to relax too.

Finally, I would like to express my deep gratitude to Mr. Ayman. It's not easy to be alone so far from home, especially when someone is sick. Yes, I was nervous, but that shouldn't surprise anyone. Therefore, well-meaning words, offers of help and support were priceless. Thank you very much for Dominica and also for the sushi. That was great. Mr. Hossam, the restaurant manager, who always advised us what to look for in the dining room (there really are a lot of types of food). He always had a smile and a few words for us. And I'm really sorry for "albie". We will never forget this.
Many thanks to the guys from the bar overlooking Alaa Bay and Ahmed. You were absolutely amazing. Plus I have a video on how to make a secret drink... not too sweet. Nothing was a problem for the guys. Alas, when he once saw that I was sad, he became even quieter than usual. And I really appreciate this intuition. Thanks also to Ahmed from the main restaurant. He always found a moment and we rehearsed some lines. Well, sometimes it was very funny.

What can I say in conclusion? I don’t know why there were so few guests at the hotel, but as an economist I understand that services had to be cut. I understand I was on vacation at the wrong time. But on the other hand, the hotel has become much more fun since last time, and it was very nice to see the staff telling you…. Welcome

Thanks to all the hotel staff who made our holiday so wonderful that we didn't want to leave.
