I won’t lie - I didn’t like the hotel and CORAL worked poorly!))

The rating of the hotel is overpriced, those who wrote good reviews either have not been anywhere, or have not eaten anything sweeter than carrots. (Sorry if I offended anyone. ) Or maybe it had deteriorated by the time we arrived. Abroad 16 times, in Egypt - 5 times, I am writing the first bad review in my life. Always for fair reviews, because you don’t want to get “Kicking into fat” on the way to the hotel))). I will not recommend the hotel. Weak service and culture of behavior with tourists. The hotel deserves a complete closure or a change of management, that's my opinion.
A lot has been written about the good and exaggerated, I am writing a real review of an experienced tourist, without pretense. If you are still going to this hotel, and you have paid vouchers, then be at least mentally prepared for the problems that you will encounter during your vacation at this hotel. The Red Sea and the gorgeous reef will cover all the disappointments that you will get from visiting the hotel. Below I will summarize and post a photo.
Maybe of course someone will say snickering - maybe. I always want to get wonderful impressions from visiting new places and communicating with new people.

Rested with a friend from 10 to 17 September 2014. For 8 days we paid 25.000 rubles for two people with a flight to Marsa Alam. After reading the reviews in advance, counted on a cheap and decent vacation. But everything turned out to be completely different. Well, in order:
We flew with the MetroJet airline (or as many called Metrolet), there were no complaints, the flight was normal, comfortable! Thanks to the whole crew of our plane)).
Situated:
The hotel is three hours drive from Hurghada, forty minutes from Marsa Alam and twenty minutes from the International Terminal of Marsa Alam Airport. This is not the first time in Marsa Alam and there is something to compare with, so we flew immediately to Marsa Alam, so as not to suffer a 3-hour road from Hurghada.
Shops, pharmacies and bars are only on site.
Accommodation:
We flew from the travel agency CORAL.
I will immediately express my claims to CORAL:
- they didn’t deal with the accommodation of people: they brought a whole bus, about 30 people, unloaded it and left, the representative didn’t even bother to go through and show where the reception was. Many had problems with the rooms, but they had to solve everything on their own, helping each other, as the staff does not understand Russian or pretends not to understand. No matter how much I traveled to many countries, I never met such an attitude anywhere, even from representatives of CORAL. For tomorrow, we watched a picture from the lobby bar, as a bus of Russian tourists drove up, a representative of Tez Tour came out, and until all the tourists received the keys to their rooms, he did not leave.
- meeting with the CORAL guide is scheduled for tomorrow at 9.30. The guide behaved arrogantly. He didn’t answer questions during the conversation, all the time he was “talking” about excursions, to questions, he said after you come up - I’ll explain. Strangely, everyone had basically the same questions:
- about the problems of accommodation and replacement of the number;
- why is there no water in the room;

- if you don’t go on excursions, then no one wants to solve your problems (this is also not an approach) I’m just outraged by the fact that the representative of CORAL made everyone write on their paper: “I refuse all the excursions offered to me by CORAL and undertake not to leave hotel area. It is clear that everyone is reinsured, but it seems to me that such receipts humiliate and infringe on the rights of vacationers. Lower your prices and people will come with you. The prices are exorbitant. Here is an example: A trip to Porta Ghalib costs $60 - we took a taxi from the hotel for $15 per person.
Now about the hotel:
- about any glasses of freshly squeezed juice when meeting at the reception, as it is written in the reviews of previous tourists, there was no question; 30 people arrived by bus and the last ones settled only 1 hour after arrival. We also did not choke at the counter and decided to wait and see.
- questions of replacement of numbers were solved with difficulty. For 2 people, we were initially offered a huge room with 4 beds, on the 3rd floor and without a balcony, overlooking the utility yard. Somehow, with difficulty understanding them, and they us, they agreed to replace the room with a standard one with a balcony and a sea view. I never pay money for a replacement room, as these issues have always been decided by the guide of the travel agency from which I travel. But in this case, I had to wave the Alenka chocolate bar so that they better understand English and think.
- the staff is lazy, few people really move and work. Even $ can't always help.
- having received the key to the room, we carried our suitcases on our own, not even knowing where our corpus and room were. It was not possible to find a porter even for $, and seeing their promptness, they were afraid to be left without things until the evening, but they wanted so much to go to the sea.
There is always a queue in the dining room, the tables are not cleared, but the cleaners stand and chat with vacationers: like I want to get married and go to Moscow with you.

The food is primitive: the scrambled eggs are empty, there are no dried fruits, there are no chopped fruit salads either. Everything is very modest. I will not describe who often flies - knows the range of canteens in Egypt. You can eat, but everything is somehow cooked without a soul. Where the intricate dishes promised in the reviews, we never saw ice cream (it was for $). And the children's menu, as many write in the reviews, I also did not observe. You come up, say hello, talk, smile - you can still see how they already hate you and do not hide it.
Since we arrived for a week and spent 2 hours eating, we just felt sorry for the time, and in order to somehow decorate our visit to the dining room and not run around in search of a clean, reserved table, we gave the cleaner either a pack of cigarettes, or a chocolate bar, or $ and a table was always booked for us. The lines for food were tiring, but there was nothing we could do about it. Our cleaner tried to help us, so the manager scolded him and sent him to clean the tables. He probably envied that the boy turned out to be faster than him and easily earned presents from us. People swept all the food off the counters, and then the trays stood empty and dirty for half an hour.
But we came not to correct, but to rest. To be honest, this time I was not surprised by anything from the prepared dishes, and even the chef never went out to the public, as is done in other self-respecting hotels.
- the territory is huge, buildings "B" and "C" are built in the hotel. We lived in "C" in room C222 with a sea view.
The room was opened with a key, like in the good old days, which surprised me. The furniture in the room is all old, shabby, the carpets are dusty. We immediately threw the carpet onto the balcony and forbade the cleaner to bring it in. For $ he brought us an additional 6 coat hangers, washed the floors and shook out the blankets.
There is no kettle in the room, information for those who like to drink coffee or tea in the room (I had to take a kettle with me) The safe is also at the reception. But we didn't use it. In order for you to have water, you need to buy a bottle of water for $2, drink it, and fill it up in a cooler in the cafeteria, bar, or beach bar. Or ask for an empty bottle in the lobby bar for a cola, fanta or tonic. They gave us no problem. A bathtub is also declared in the room - we had a pallet (shower). The water during the day was always summer. Even washing your hair was cold.

There were no problems with towels, in addition to the necessary towels, all sorts of figures were turned to us and we practically didn’t need them, we even gave them to friends in another room, where they didn’t clean for 3 days. (they didn't put $)
I also want to write about animation: it exists, but it doesn't exist! ! ) We had to beg for a Russian disco, because many Russian tourists came with us (50% of the hotel). There were not enough tables and chairs. Entertainment rooms are designed for the Italian public. So we had to amuse ourselves. We got a wonderful company: Galina - Ryazan, Svetlana - Moscow and my friend and I from Smolensk - lit up during this period. And the Russians were pulling up to us. In general, go with a company or family and you will not be bored.
Internet is not free. It's expensive for the money, we did not connect. The price was announced in 30 minutes.
About the good:
If you know a couple of words in Arabic (hello, thank you, please, yes, no) and a school English course, and an attractive woman, then you will have no problems communicating. You will be welcomed everywhere as the best guest. Make presents, massages, masks, smear with oil (such as perfume probes), ride camels for free. And at the same time, you can also make them a small present: treat them with chocolate, a cigarette, give them a lighter. A trifle, but nice: both for them and for you.
Beach.
And the most important thing for which we flew to Egypt is the Red Sea, the best in the world.
Private sandy beach 450 meters from the hotel.
A good reef, sometimes very beautiful, if you swim further along the coast.
Livestock, more or less standard, but almost every day pleased with a pleasant surprise, then a turtle will swim, then dolphins flashed by, and most importantly, the collection of impressions was replenished with new varieties of fish.

Although their tourists - Italians came to our pontoon and swam along the reef, and no one even said a word to them, everyone smiled together. We went to the beach of the neighboring hotel several times, to take pictures and just compare their reef and the reef of our hotel. We got acquainted with the drivers, they allowed sunbathing and swimming with them on their beach area. The main thing is not to speak Russian. ))) but practiced in communicating in English.
And if you swim from the beach of the neighboring hotel to ours, just downstream, you will see a wonderful coral reef that stretches for about 40 meters. And you can see even more exotic fish. Which we did twice.
The whistle of a whip-boy on a pontoon does not mean anything, except that something interesting has approached the pontoon or within sight. For example, turtle, barracuda, shark, dolphins or something else.
When the whistle is heard, the entire beach takes off and rushes to the pontoon to watch the next "miracle". The boys on the pontoon are on duty friendly and helpful, I will always help. We had a girl from Ryazan with us, she dropped her phone, a storm began, the whip-boy jumped and got her. I had to thank him tomorrow. Wandering along the beach and shallow water is also safer in special slippers. You can see many different animals.
I recommend visiting the Bedouin tent. You will be offered to try on and be photographed in national costumes and smoke a hookah.
And lastly, arrange yourself an excursion to Port Ghalib. Unforgettable experience from visiting this magical place.
Port Ghalib is a man-made oasis in the dry and hot desert of Egypt. There are amazingly beautiful lagoons, endless beaches, and luxurious hotels made in oriental style, which create a wonderful atmosphere for a luxury vacation.
Venice in Egypt, that's what they call this place. Great shopping, there is where to walk and take pictures. Located in the heart of Ghalib port, the yacht port is the center of the resort. Port Ghalib is a world-class resort city. In the price list of a taxi driver, the price is $ 12 per person. The Italians with us on the bus paid 48 euros for 4 people, and we paid $ 15 per person. And back everyone went by bus, and the owner of the taxi added us in his car. The main thing is to bargain and you will always get a discount. )) Do not give all the money at once. We made an advance payment of $ 5 and then gave $ 10 upon arrival.

Prices for souvenirs in the hotel shops are overpriced by 2 times. Therefore, it makes sense to go for souvenirs and shopping in Port Ghalib.

Disadvantages of Aurora Nada Marsa Alam Resort
A tedious transfer from Hugarda airport, especially for children, so it is better to fly to Marsa Alam.
The hotel is pretty boring if you don't have your own company. Go shopping, entertain yourself.
It is not necessary to buy anything there, just chat with the sellers, drink tea, you can smoke with the owner of the shop and they will definitely make a present for you.
Animation activities are designed for Italian tourists, very primitive and boring.
Discos with Russian music must be begged for.
The territory of the hotel is not landscaped enough.
The attitude towards tourists from the staff is jammed. Many do not like Russians, and this is affecting. Weak service and culture of behavior with tourists.
In the restaurant, the plates are dirty, the queue for food, the tables are not reserved (like they don’t have time).
No drinking water in the room.
There is no kettle.
Safe at reception.
Internet is paid.
Shops are available only on the territory of hotels, which leads to a small assortment and very high prices for goods.
Shower tray too low. Not very good water heating.
Far from all the attendants understand Russian, and if they do, they pretend they don't understand, so as not to do anything for you.
It is impossible to walk barefoot on the beach, so don't forget your slippers.
There are no cabanas on the beach.
Sometimes, due to seasonal low tides, the water goes far from the equipped beach.

And as always, I end all my reviews about Egypt with the words:
Egypt has remained for me a fabulous country with its enchanting smell and magnificent sea...This is a country where you always want to return....
I hope that my review will help tourists prepare for their vacation at Aurora Nada Marsa Alam Resort.
I recommend returning to Marsa Alam, but to another hotel.
To be honest, I wanted to repeat it, but life is not a predictable thing. Now only in Port Ghalib hotels.
