We have been resting in Hurghada for 10 years already - hotels from 2 * to 5 *, we thought that we all already know, but this is something new. The hotel is European, NETWORK.
The rooms are large, as it should be 5 * and this is a plus : ). Half of the outlets don't work, the fridge is leaking, the bed linen has a strange smell. Mosquitoes and flies (they should actually be poisoned).
Meals: assortment and quality - like in a FRENDSHIP 2 * hotel, sausage and cheese are served fried, vegetables and fruits in scarce quantity and assortment, terrible, poorly washed and spoiled, greasy plates on the back, with pieces of something from yesterday, in the morning ONLY adjustable drinks, tea, coffee, no freshly squeezed juices, or just drinking water (in the FRENDSHIP 2 * hotel - IT WAS !!! ) Tables need to be forced to wipe and serve.
The staff - as usual, good-natured, stupid, fussy, a lot of unnecessary questions, but at least they don't call "in the bushes" - this is a plus and a sign of 5 *! Animation, disco and in general any kind of life - is missing.
True, in the evenings, towards the end of dinner, some schoolchildren or students and mines crawl out onto the stage. 30-40 show their amateur performance. This, apparently, is a SHOW ...The territory is not well-groomed, the bush is not trimmed, and garbage comes across. Once in the DAY they poisoned insects, then all evening the whole territory was fragrant with dichlorvos.
But the beach is something unforgettable! IT IS NOT REMOVED AT ALL. Cigarette butts, papers, a bunch of flies, you won’t see anything on the water line - bottles, bags, bits. The same on the surface of the water. There is some kind of silt at the bottom, which bubbles up if you stir it. Constantly from the sea the smell of diesel fuel - around the beach is 12! ! yachts and three motorboats in the bathing area, on which tourists ride on a parachute. Once it was a cool beach, with an excellent bottom, moderately gentle slope. Now it is a small port with all the consequences ...oil stains on the water in the morning, see photo ...
The staff on the beach starts working at 10 o'clock: to take apart, clean the shower, climb on the palm trees, tie the dates...You lie on the beach under a palm tree, and an Arab sits on the palm above you, and the branches fall sparkling...Romance. In the evening they need to go home early: at 5 o’clock they start running around you, collecting sunbeds. The towels on the beach are all tattered, the mattresses do not dry...Went for a massage. Signed up for 2! ! day, come - surprise! The masseuse had already gone home ...Called - ran: ). The squalor of the SPA-center, as in our old pioneer camps ...
And the last thing: such dirt on the streets and so many curses and insults in Russian and Arabic (unfortunately, I speak Arabic) against tourists passing by shops in the city, given that the tourists were women over 40, in trousers, shirts with long sleeves and scarves (so as not to offend the natives with the view of naked flesh) I have not heard in all the previous years of rest in Hurghada ...Good luck to everyone!
