A couple of days ago we returned from Shedvan, the impressions are extremely positive. If you close your eyes to the few flaws of the hotel, then you can safely call the rest a success. I must say right away that this was the first trip to a foreign resort, therefore there is nothing to compare with. However, first things first.
ANEX. Unpretentious. We were fed on the plane. The visa is still 16 dollars, not 15. A somewhat unexpected turn of events was the postponement of the flight back to Ukraine at an earlier time (by 4 hours), and it was reported almost at the last moment. And so, in general, we are satisfied: the guide Oksana is in general access in the hotel lobby almost all day and evening, answering any questions. Although ANEX is already kind of bankrupt. It's a pity, it seems that only they drove to Shedvan.
HOTEL. We lived in the 7th building on the ground floor. Very convenient location, from the room you can go directly to the pool. The room has 2 beds (2-bedroom and one and a half), minimum furniture: in the hallway there is a closet with a broken door, in the room, in addition to the beds, there is an old refrigerator, a table with a mirror and bedside tables. The TV in the room worked properly for only a couple of days, although there is not much to watch there (almost all channels are local or German). The air conditioning in the room is very noisy, it only works on on / off. The bathroom leaves much to be desired, hot water can only be found at lunchtime or at 6 am. The bathroom has everything you need: 2 sets of towels and shower gel. Mosquitoes. Moreover, they are very tenacious and with immunity to all sorts of fumigators, it is not clear where they were constantly taken from innumerable quantities in the room. I don’t even know what to advise to deal with them, we haven’t come up with. There are practically no mosquitoes on the street, because they poison in the evenings. The rooms are cleaned daily, towels and bed linen are changed once. The cleaner was left a £.1 tip on the table.

I note that 70% of vacationers aged 40+, i. e. the hotel is very quiet and calm, every evening the animators arrange a variety of shows, during the day they also hold a bunch of activities such as volleyball, boccia, aqua aerobics and more.
If you decide to wrap your luggage in foil before departure, then it’s cheaper to do it at a hotel for $ 3 (or 15 pounds - even cheaper), at the airport this service costs 4 bucks, and with 5 you can simply “not find change”.
BEACH AND POOLS. Very pleased. Unloaded - about half of the sun loungers are constantly empty, so there should be no problems finding a free place. Bars with free drinks are available by the pools and on the beach. Service, unfortunately, is somewhat rude. The beach is clean, with small pebbles. Do not count on the snow-white slides of the water park, which are in the photo of the hotel, they are tightly under repair. Also, one of the three beaches is under repair (believe me, the two remaining beaches will be enough for you).
NUTRITION. You won’t die of hunger for sure - they are fed for slaughter : ) Of course, the food is somewhat monotonous, but the food is very tasty and there is a decent choice: rice, potatoes, pasta and salads every time, with all kinds of fruits and sweets.

CITY. Hurghada is very dirty, do not be surprised by the heaps of garbage on every corner, only the central streets have a more or less divine appearance, everything else is a ghetto. People for the most part are friendly and pleasant to talk to, at least nowhere have they met any frankly negative attitude (only in the hotel in some places). A taxi to the center costs 10 pounds (or $ 2), the final destination of your trip is McDonald's or Sheraton Street. Souvenirs, gifts and other nonsense I recommend not to buy in the city, but to wait for departure and buy everything at the airport after registration. There is just a sea of shops with souvenirs, prices are an order of magnitude lower than in the city, even after all the auctions, half of the goods have a fixed price. Water (drinking) - and this is all you need after you put on the AI bracelet - buy near the hotel in REEM MARKET. A six-liter bottle costs £.5 ($1). Do not buy water at the hotel, a 1.5 liter bottle costs almost $2 there. By the way, you can buy local currency at a special ATM in the hotel lobby, the rate is 5.5 pounds for 1 dollar. Remember that after the exchange operation you need to pick up the check from the machine, for some reason, without it, the rest of the pounds will not be exchanged for dollars. You can also change currency at the TRITON hotel, it is 200 meters to the left of Shedvan. Everything is cheaper to buy for pounds.
In short, the rest is very pleasant, 6 days flew by very unnoticed, the hotel is a solid four with a fat plus. There will be questions - write, I will be happy to answer and tell you what's what.
