We have just returned from Hurghada Shedvan Golden Beach 3 * hotel and, while memories are fresh, I am writing a review, because when we were going to go, it was very problematic to find anything about this hotel. Maybe my review will help someone make a choice. We are not the first time in Egypt, there is something to compare with, the hotel is beautiful, we did not want to leave. Vouchers were taken at the Kiev office of TEZ TOUR, as always, no overlays - everything is clear and beautiful.
Hotel.
The location of the hotel is excellent: the first coastline; to the center within easy reach (by minibus 10 minutes for 1 pound per person); a huge territory (shared with the Shedvan Garden Hotel) more like a botanical garden - immense palm trees, ficuses, acacias, Chinese rose bushes are all in flowers (all this is done 24/7 care - gardeners water, plant, cut, practically breathe on every blade of grass during the day and at night in several shifts); football field, two tennis tables, Internet cafe, billiards, paths, benches, fountains, 3 swimming pools, spacious beaches, but more on that below; an abundance of bars and restaurants for every taste; convenient location of the houses on the territory - everything between the reception and the beach. A distinctive feature of the hotel is a huge number of cats, cats and kittens of all colors and sizes, so those who do not like them better not to go there.
And one more thing: a hotel for Germans, if you don’t speak at least nominally English or German, you have nothing to do there - the staff doesn’t speak Russian at all (even thank you, please, and how are you? no one will say). True, 60 Russian people arrived in the last race, but there were almost 1000 Germans, so I don’t think that the situation with the language will somehow change in the near future. BUT YOU ALWAYS NEVER MEET OURS - this is of course a plus for those who want to take a break from communication.
Service. Friendly open staff. They try to understand even the worst English and help in everything. On the 10th night, water suddenly poured from the ceiling in our room, the heating tank broke through, so a whole crowd came running and in 8 minutes (we spotted) we were transferred to another room, apologizing every second.

Standard room, as in any Egyptian treshka: two beds (double and single), TV (there is 1 Russian channel), dressing table, bedside table, refrigerator, wardrobe with huge mirrors, central (very quiet) air conditioning with individual control, shower, toilet. On the terrace there is a table and two wicker chairs. The furniture is not new but in good condition. Everything worked, no complaints. Cleaned every day, the bed is changed every 2 days, but you can leave every 3 days for a couple of pounds and they will change at least every day. In general, it was clean, there were almost no ants, if you only forget something from the food on the table, then of course their herd will come running.
Nutrition.
Half board - breakfast: eggs or scrambled eggs, sausages, tomatoes with cheese (baked), the chef fries omelettes with tomatoes and champignons or pancakes with chocolate sauce right in the hall (there was no queue), a variety of pastries, corn flakes, three types of jams, two types yoghurts, coffee, tea, two types of juices, hot milk, hot chocolate, fresh tomatoes and cucumbers; dinner: two types of side dishes, chicken and veal in different versions, two types of stewed vegetables, very tasty fish, squids, at least 6 types of salads, many cakes, buns, bread of all varieties, pita bread, two types of soups (very tasty), lasagna or baked spinach, different sauces, lots of fruit. At dinner, drinks are charged. You can dine in any of the many bars on site, a good lunch with soft drinks will cost from 50 to 80 pounds for two. Money will not be taken anywhere - everything is written to the account, then paid at the reception, very convenient.
They are not fooling (we checked), most importantly, before signing a bill in a restaurant or bar, check the amount. Serve quickly. Children are fed at lunch by the pool, even with HB (no one will tell you about this, read the papers that you will be given at the reception upon arrival - everything is painted there). We had no poisoning for 14 days.
Beach. There are several of them - 4 large lagoons for every taste. The sandy shore is shallow, shallow everywhere, except for the Blue Lagoon beach, where there is a pier right into the open sea with corals, waves and boats. There is a large slide on the beach and children in the pools (you will be given a map - everything is drawn there). There are plenty of sunbeds, mattresses, umbrellas, even at 10 am you can choose a place, and not stupidly look for a free one. Everywhere there are fences from the wind (it almost does not subside there) and surprisingly clean towels.
Animation. Exercise in the morning, beach volleyball and aqua aerobics in the afternoon, football once a week, a concert in the Greek theater, a belly dance show.
Animators-Italians try very hard, but it doesn't work out well for them. City entertainment is all close, so you should not be upset.
Tours. As I wrote above, this is not the first time in Egypt, so we have already been everywhere. This time we went to Luxor - a difficult trip, but Cairo is certainly harder. An interesting program: two temples, the valley of the pharaohs, after lunch a boat ride on the Nile (very beautiful). It is difficult only to endure the heat, in the valley of the pharaohs 40C is “cool” according to the guide. With a TEZ TOUR guide named Wael, who took us to Luxor, we were very lucky. A wonderful person, loves his work and tourists, which is rare.
