Vacation was a success!
This is if in a nutshell to characterize our trip to Egypt.
And if not two. . .
All our recommendations will be addressed to young lovers of active break-away, but not exorbitantly expensive holidays. But they are unlikely to suit other categories of citizens... otherwise they will be strictly contraindicated!
Sorry for the volume! You can read only points of interest, I will not be offended)))
We are an international company of five young people (two guys, three girls). My husband and girlfriend and I represent Kyiv, and our friends Marina and Dima represent St. Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod. Everyone rested in Egypt not for the first, but for the second time))) We met, of course, at the bar and never parted again. I can imagine how the bartenders and waiters sighed on the day of our departure)))
1. Hotel

We lived in the Family building, which differs from the Beach building only in location (1-1.5 km further from the sea and the main pool). The rooms are absolutely identical (which we made sure of, having a desire to move to the Beach (but not having the opportunity - bitches, they asked for 500 bucks for 2 weeks (((We walk for that kind of money. Although sometimes we went by a hotel minibus when it was at hand) came across).

2. Number
Of course, we were asked at the reception: “Do you have a good room? Then you have to pay extra. " "No problem, friend! Only chairs in the morning…” They showed us two rooms. We were immediately bribed by the spaciousness: a living room-studio, a balcony, two bedrooms, a toilet, a shower room with another toilet. For three people who could theoretically be stuffed into one room, it's a thrill. Of the two options, we chose the one on the first floor with a balcony-entrance. And they did not regret it (so closer to the bar)! As a thank you, they paid 50 pounds and presented a bottle of Medovukha. Marco from the reception (hello to him!!! ) began to tell that they were not allowed to drink, but still took it. And then he asked the newly arrived guests how much this mead could cost - a real businessman))))
3. Cleanliness, cleaning and watering
The rooms are clean, cleaned regularly and efficiently. But swans for tips were not always made. Were you in a hurry? Therefore, at the end, we were no longer so conscientiously “forgetting” pounds in bed. The toilets in the building where the restaurant is located (in our opinion, the canteen! ) leave much to be desired. And the body itself is too shabby. But when in one of the toilets I saw an Arab washing his feet in the sink in broad daylight, I went into these toilets only when I really needed it. Prayer-prayer, but no one canceled hygiene!
The most terrible time begins at 4-5 o'clock, before sunset. At this time, insects are poisoned with special smoke (close the windows in advance! ) And the flower beds are watered... with sewage. For a long time we could not understand why it “smells” like that.
4. Cockroaches

Personally, I have not seen them. But a friend swears that on the first night a huge (like three Ukrainian) cockroaches got out of the air conditioner. The next day we met the senior manager of the hotel, mr N (I won't say his name). We had a nice conversation over a hookah, well, Natalya could not resist and told our friend about the night guest. He translated it as a joke . . And the next day at 8 in the morning on the threshold of our room we saw people in gas masks! Muttering something in their Arabic, they literally broke into the bathroom-toilet and began to poison insects. "Who sent you? mr N? ” I asked now in Russian, now in English. "Oh please don't call mr N! " In general, it all looked funny, especially when awake. But there were no more night guests with mustaches.
5. Canteen
The food for the "treshka" is normal (compare with the previous experience of relaxing in inexpensive hotels).
Pleased: an abundance of vegetables and salads (cucumbers, tomatoes, grated carrots, local cabbage), a choice of two meat dishes for lunch and dinner (chicken or fish, beef or liver, etc. ), a fresh omelette for breakfast, which is fried right in front of you and, of course, sweets.
Not pleased: not enough fruit (oranges, melons, dates - everything ((((Well, okay - we ourselves bought them cheaply in the city. Well, after 2 weeks of rest, their seasoned pork-free food was fed up. We so wanted borscht, potatoes -mashed potatoes and herrings, which in recent days have simply been raving about their kitchen and looking forward to a homemade feast. Force of habit.
I was not very pleased: some vacationers, who seemed to come from the starving Volga region. Among ourselves, we called them grandmothers (they had a solid company - people 6). When they went to the end of lunch and dinner, they laughed: “It makes no sense to go, the grandmothers ate everything. ” Once Natakha could not stand it and made a remark to the starving people: they say that you take chicken for the 10th time? You see that because of you, there will not be enough for those who have not even taken it the first time. ” Fruits are a separate story: there were so many orange / melon skins left on their table that it seemed that at least a company ate here. A little ashamed of such compatriots.
6. Bar

He worked from 10 to 12 in our building, and on the beach, the owners of pink bracelets (that is, we) could only take drinks at the pool bar. On the way to the sea at any time we saw a long line at the bar - the so-called health group. Well, we joined them. By the end of the holiday, they learned to carry five glasses in two hands (to the honor of the hotel, they poured how many khosh in one hand). And on our last beach day, we celebrated our departure in such a way that a neighbor in a place under the sun - an overall German woman called the beach guard - we prevented her from reading with our loud conversations. Well, it was a little - on the last day you can. But the guards were still on our side - in 2 weeks we had a lot of our people there.

7. Beach
A rather large beach is located around the lagoon, into which an island with a bar juts out (works only in summer). The lagoon, of course, is good, but only the water in it is colder than in the open sea (this is essential in winter). Yes, and it is not interesting without corals. Therefore, my husband and I went swimming to the Lilyland beach located on the left: there is a long pier, from which you get directly to the coral reef. Nobody was allowed to cross the fence. You can not leave the territory of Rimivera and dive directly from the concrete pier, but you will have to swim a little to the corals. But I do not recommend swimming to the right of the lagoon. There is a very long spit, the whole bottom is the remains of corals and stones. Our guys were carried there on a mattress and without slippers... The mattress almost flew away, and in chasing it, my husband injured his leg. Not strong, but the sediment remained)))
8. City, Taxi and Arab Ethics
We went to the city quite often - almost every other day. It gets dark early - why sit in the room? They knew the main and adjacent streets along and across, and the sellers - in person. Getting to the city is very simple - catch a minibus on the highway near the hotel and say in a firm voice: "Sakala, one person - one pound" (preferably in English). Few? Goodbye! He himself will hand over back and return for you - it has been checked many times. I wonder how the guides sold taxis to tourists for $ 12 one way? You can go to Luxor for that kind of money! The red price of a taxi is 20 pounds per car (even at night we managed to get from the disco for 10 pounds).

And in the city there is only one rule: to bargain to the maximum (if you knew how they wind up the price) and for any rudeness (dissolved his hands, deceived on change, etc. ) shout “Policy”. Merchants are terribly afraid of her. Well, the truth is with their exclamations: “Why two husbands - three wives? Give me one, Casanova! " - there was nothing they could do.
9. Discos
There is no normal disco in the hotel, so we went to the city.
Were in: "Havana" (a couple of hotels from Rimivera, you can walk) - entrance fee 50 pounds, popular and club music. Liked!
"Admiral Club" (at the Titanic Hotel, also not far, 1 pound per person in the minibus) - entrance fee 15 dollars (we bargained for 10), drinks are included in any quantity, foam party on Fridays. I liked it, but not enough - until 3 nights.
Calypso (not reaching the city, far away) - entrance 80 pounds per person, drinks can be taken for 40 pounds (do not believe if you are told that Stella beer is over, only Honeyken is left at 40 pounds. We threatened to leave and “Stella” was immediately found!
Aqua Fun (at the beginning of the main street, far away) - entrance fee 30 pounds, you can also order drinks that are very inexpensive for the club. The music is cool, a big minus is that it is very smoky and slightly shabby.
10. Excursions
We have already seen the cultural sights of Egypt, so we took excursions for pleasure.
1) Paradise Island (we went for the 2nd time and did not regret it) - $ 13 per person
2) Motorcycle safari on quad bikes - 24 USD per person. The ride itself is an hour there and an hour back (and at night). The rest of the time we talked with the Bedouins. Personally, it was a little painful for me to ride the quad through the bumpy parts of the desert (like an old washboard), except that when you accelerate, you don’t feel the vibration. Plus gas, pressed by the thumb. You don't feel your finger for an hour of driving! And everything is great!
3) Water park at the Titanic Hotel - $25 per person. They traveled on their own, bought a ticket on the spot. For towels you need to leave a deposit of 40 pounds per person. Slides are super! We got a lot of fun and a dose of adrenaline. Take care of your butts - at the junctions of the structures of some slides, they will have a hard time.

The first 2 excursions were bought in the city from a certain Isaac. I leave his mobile: +20108279455. We wrote off SMS the day before, and the next morning we were taken directly from the hotel. Recommend!
11. Hotel flavor
These are, of course, barkers from shops across from Family. We ruined the papyrus seller Andron a little (or maybe he us - you'll understand figs). Well, everyone adored Grisha from Cotton Market! This polyglot memorized a couple of phrases in different languages and pushed them into the topic and not. For example: “Hello, muzzle”, “Mom, don’t worry”, “Tea, coffee, dance”, etc. But most importantly, how he dances! At any time of the day, a cassette recorder is turned on))) and Grisha dances pas. In general, hello to Gregory and demand a bigger discount, do not be shy.
Bottom line: we still had a good rest, but in December we won’t go again - the winds are tortured and the sun sets too early.
