I prepared for the trip in advance, because I wanted to celebrate the wedding anniversary in a special way (there was no honeymoon trip), combining a vacation at sea and excursions, namely a cruise on the Nile. I approached the choice of the hotel carefully, because. already had the experience of a not very successful holiday in a 3 * hotel in Hurghada. The result was the following: 3 nights at the Albatros Jungle Hotel, 3 nights on a cruise and another night at the Hilton Long Beach Hotel. I ordered a ticket through Tez-Tour, because. they have the most successful cruise programs, and in terms of the quality of their services, they are beyond praise.
They flew from St. Petersburg with Ural Airlines. The service on board was excellent, apart from the schedule itself. Departure to Hurghada in the evening and scheduled arrival at half past eleven, i. е. already losing one day of rest at sea. And even if we add an hour delay in departure (due to the fault of the airport), then we arrived at the hotel after 12 at night, and you can no longer count on a late dinner. Departure back already at half past twelve at night and ahead of the night flight with a pilot around 5 am, very hard. But as a plus, almost the entire last day can be spent at sea (although at 12 already having vacated the room)
When we checked into the hotel, we did not give anything, anyway, we only spend 3 nights there. At the reception, the Arab told us that the room is very good, well, let's check. In order not to walk around the territory at night and it would be faster, a porter took us with a suitcase and brought us to our room in his small car, we sat in the cab next to the driver, I was on my husband’s lap : -) The room turned out to be in the farthest corner of the hotel, yes also with separate beds, although we asked for a larger one. Well, we are not proud, although tired, we decided to try to change. Again in the same position, huddled in one seat, we returned to the reception. The Egyptian tried to tell us that there were no other rooms, neither closer nor with a large bed. We gently insisted. He poked around a little more on the computer and gave us the key to the next room. This one had at least one bed. Although it has the farthest location, number 4098, it is actually very nice. There are only 3 houses, different from the others, black in color. Then, walking around the territory, we noticed that our rooms are much larger than all the others. Walking around the territory did not bother us at all, and the location is very quiet and pleasant. In general, there are no rooms facing the fence in the hotel, almost all have access to the pool, large or small, and there are many of them.
The food at this hotel is beyond praise. On territory 6! restaurants, not all work for breakfast and lunch, but still I never saw queues. Breakfasts and lunches are almost the same in all (there are a little more differences in food than in breakfast), but for dinner, each restaurant offers completely different cuisine, so everyone can choose according to their taste. Large selection of meat, fish, vegetables, fruits and desserts. You can take food with you, there are special vessels for this, and water can be taken in unlimited quantities in half-liter bottles.
If you go to the sea by bus, then it’s not far away, and you don’t have to wait long for it. If you wish, you can take a walk, but not at lunchtime in the very heat, it's hard. The beach is located on the territory of the Dana Beach Hotel, the left side is separated for Albatross and Leila. There is always enough space. The entrance to the sea is sandy, shallow at first, so it’s just fine for children. And for those who want to swim, you don’t have to go very far either. At first, it turns out something like a lagoon, you can swim there too, there is a deep enough place and the water is clear. But if you want a real sea and fish, you can go a little further along the shallows. Right within walking distance there are corals with colorful fish. You can stand knee-deep in the water to watch them. Despite the presence of corals, you can swim without slippers, and bypass the corals along the sandy bottom. You can spend the whole day at the sea, because. You can also have lunch on the beach. But we returned to our hotel and spent the afternoon in the water park.
The water park is just a miracle, it was impossible to get me out of there. My husband preferred to just swim in the pool and sunbathe, I only dragged him there a couple of times. There are a lot of slides, you can go down on rugs or in circles (there is one or two), depending on the slide. There are very cool ones, or simpler ones. As a thrill lover, I fell in love with slides in the form of a gutter, descending on them I could not help screaming. The most extreme of the nahs is blue, you almost plummet to the bottom along it, and then you rise again (see video).
