Good afternoon! Rested with my family at the Mirage New Hawaii Resort & Spa from July 23 to 30. The hotel is 4 stars, but I would give a rating of 3+. Greeted at the reception well. Service was prompt and courteous. We were given a room on the 1st floor overlooking the pool.

Pros: Big place, clean everywhere. The rooms were cleaned every day and very well. 4 restaurants - great food. Asian, Italian, national cuisines. There is a children's menu and diet meals. Everything is delicious! From fruits - bananas, grapes, watermelon, figs. The chefs are always smiling and tidy. I did not notice any sidelong glances and discontent. Moreover, at that time they had Ramadan (this is a Muslim Fast. Believers take food and water only in the evening, after sunset). I can't even imagine how hard it must have been for the restaurant staff to hold back.

For an afternoon snack - they baked pancakes, muffins ...tasted so-so. . The hotel has several good swimming pools (including a children's one). There is a playground.
The Spa Salon was also highly praised, but we did not go there. Good new sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach. There was always enough space for everyone.
Cons: The air conditioning in the main hall did not work. Or rather, it was constantly turned off, in order to save electricity, as they explained to us (there were power failures a couple of times). And the heat was unbearable these days. Didn't like the beach. There are few fish in the sea. Animation is average. In the dining room and lobby bar, disposable cups for tea / coffee - constantly come across with holes in the bottom. Everything spilled on the table. Apparently there was a large defective batch.
But they were not very upset about the beach, because they went on an excursion 2 times - Giftun Island (8-hour excursion on a ship + meals). There is a stunning beach. White clean sand. Gorgeous clear sea, fish ...During this excursion, we stopped 2 times on coral reefs, swam in the open sea with masks and snorkels.
Fish in the Red Sea - it's just fabulously beautiful! ! ! For the first time I saw fish Napoleon, Moray. Absolutely delighted! ! ! ! I want more! ! ! In addition, we came across a cheerful guide, he is also an instructor at sea. We liked everything so much that we even went on the same excursion 2 times. We took an excursion from a local guide for $ 15, although in a hotel with hotel guides such an excursion costs from 30 to 50 dollars. Who cares, it's called. By the way, hotel guides have recently become so insolent, they began to threaten that there will be trouble if they do not take excursions. Some even force tourists to write a written refusal and say, if they take excursions from outside, then the insurance does not work. Generally intimidating. All this is nonsense! The insurance is valid throughout Egypt and it does not matter from whom the tourists take the tour. Who needs the contacts of a local guide - write! I will share!

Outside the hotel there are a lot of annoying importunate sellers. .
Very tired, to be honest. But we tried to ignore them. They didn’t pester only in pharmacies, probably. By the way, I highly recommend buying pills, toothpastes in a pharmacy. Prices are cheaper than in Russia. And the quality is not even worth arguing. Already checked! In Russia, as a rule, most medicines are fake. And everything is high quality! ! ! You can safely take and not be afraid. Even elementary Colgate toothpaste is much better than in our domestic stores.
In general, the holiday was a success! Although there were minor drawbacks, but I try not to pay attention to them. The main thing is the very fact of rest. . The sea and the sun. . what else is needed? !
Who will have questions - write! I will gladly answer them! ! !
