The undoubted advantage is the location of the hotel - in the Old Town, in the fortress wall, next to the Tolstoy Margaret and the Church of Oleviste, I would even say "around the Horse Mill". Everything is within easy reach, everything is close, very convenient. Near the tram stop Linna Hall (tram number 2) - very convenient to get from the bus station. From the stop to the hotel 3 minutes.
The room was located on the second floor (an undoubted advantage is the presence of an elevator in the old building) and overlooked the road, but this did not add any noise in the room - it was very quiet. The soundproofing is good - the sounds from the corridor and neighboring rooms did not interfere (we had neighbors only on the right).
The rooms are small and cozy. There was a wardrobe in the room where we put our suitcase, a refrigerator-mini-bar (we kept delicious Estonian dairy products in it), a table, a telephone, two glasses, a light bulb over the table, a guide as a gift, a large mirror, a chair, a bedside table, two separate beds, bedside lamps, TV (not included), large wide window sill, two radiators (under the window and opposite the bathroom), toilet, shower, electric heated towel rail and other bathroom accessories, shower curtain, sockets. There was liquid soap and shampoo. Shower has good pressure and hot water. Towels - two small, two large, foot mat.
They cleaned every day, very carefully - they made the beds (very soft feather beds, it is pleasant to sleep, warm and soft), they removed the garbage, changed all the towels and the foot mat.
The breakfast is very tasty, hearty, from 7 to 10 in the morning (we came at 8 and 7 and there was always no hype, everything was enough for everyone). There were orange and apple juices, lemon water, tea, coffee, milk, drinking yogurt with additives (overeating), yogurt without additives, two jams (one of them is raspberry, I don’t remember the second), fruits from compote, several types of muesli, butter, bread-roll, toaster, charming delicious little cheesecakes, scrambled eggs, meatballs, sausages, oatmeal porridge like, homemade pancakes, you will lick your fingers! (and with raspberry jam and cottage cheese... ), pickled cucumbers, herring, fresh cucumbers and tomatoes, cheese, ham, grainy cottage cheese. Everything was very tasty, home-style, satisfying. Very closely monitor the cleanliness - immediately wipe, clean. She turned her attention to the high chair.
The staff is friendly, helpful, very pleasant, answered any questions, helped.
We also had the opportunity to go to the spa in another hotel of this chain. We took advantage of this opportunity twice. Not far to go - 15 minutes through the park. Towels can be taken from the room or in the spa, but for a fee. There was a swimming pool, two jacuzzis - hot and warm, 2 gurgling massages, a strong jet (there are such in water parks), 4 saunas - Turkish, salt (you need to rub yourself with salt), aroma and Finnish. We spent about 1-1.5 hours there and were very satisfied, felt rested and ready for new exploits. We went in the evening at 7-8 o'clock, so we enjoyed the illumination of the Upper City and the full moon back.
Cons are relative, they did not spoil our holiday.
For some, the very small area of the room may be a minus, but this did not bother us - we only slept in the room and came to take things for the spa.
Also the mattress was not fixed, so sometimes tried to move out.
There was no air conditioning - we opened half the window and that was enough for us.
Our program was as follows.
Day 1 - arrival, accommodation, walk to the Marina of the old town, Rottermann quarter, shopping, cakes in Mademoiselle, lunch in Estlander, spa.
Day 2 - Old Town, lunch at the cheese restaurant St. Michael, a glass of beer in the Old Hansa, spa.
Day 3 – trip to Nõ mme, soup to Estlander.
Day 4 - everything that we did not have time to see in the Old Town, the festival of the peoples of Estonia, coffee in the Sweet Tooth, lunch in the Three Dragons, departure.
