Well, I hit my forty. . . I'm not superstitious and still celebrated my anniversary (the first forty years of childhood are especially difficult for a man, then I hope it will go easier ???? ). The family nevertheless decided to give me a fabulous gift - two weeks of vacation in the Dominican Republic (from childhood I read old Ernest and dreamed of the Caribbean ???? ). And in order to finally finish me off, they agreed with the guys from Two Bananas on a 2-day fishing-trolling (one can say to repeat the feat of old Santiago from The Old Man and the Sea)! That's what a gift from the heart means - they know about me more than myself!
Well, lyrics aside… Arrived in Aeroflot economy class at 10 am, the flight was quite comfortable. Since check-in at hotels in the Dominican Republic begins at three o'clock in the afternoon (siesta is sacred???? ), we have already changed into shorts and went to inspect the hotel grounds. Unlike other hotels, here the territory, although large, is very reasonably equipped. It has everything - tennis courts, swimming pools, a gym, restaurants, rooms, a beach. Everything is surrounded by greenery, but this greenery does not resemble a jungle, but a well-groomed tropical garden! What struck me was the silence reigning in the hotel - after all, the hotel is 18+ category and here the audience is mostly adults. The hotel lobby amazes with a variety of styles of rooms - snow-white marble of antiquity, a nook with red walls and mirrors like in the boudoir of the Marquise de Pompadour, but I liked the room with hanging clocks of various styles and sizes (an ideal place for a business person to relax ???? ). The room struck me with its luxury, and the luxury is not oppressive (not "expensive and bohato" as some nouveau riche love), the room is decorated in a typical Art Nouveau style, the walls are decorated with paintings. The bed is huge, a wardrobe (I really want to say “respectable wardrobe” in the wake of Gaev from The Cherry Orchard???? ), a mini-bar (in which I found my favorite cognac (colleagues obviously agreed with the hotel management). The bathroom is also excellent combines luxury with modesty - a jacuzzi, a huge sink but not that oppressive combination of marble with gilding, snow-white walls and floors, and from the bathroom there is a window overlooking the ocean.
The restaurant was amazing with its variety! Thousands of different meat dishes, lots of fruits. Yes, which is typical - unlike most other hotels in the Dominican Republic - European and Asian restaurants are no worse than restaurants with local cuisine!

Smoothly we pass to the beach. The beach is huge and obscenely clean (algae brings incoming waves, but they are quickly removed)! Fine white sand, azure, clear water. A huge number of sunbeds and deck chairs (so you don’t have to fight for a sunbed, but it’s still worth leaving the sunbed, so that it would not be occupied)
Well, I won’t talk about fishing - you need to tell it personally, under a glass and in other words, but thanks again to Two Bananas for fishing! It was a real adventure!
