My wife and I were in this hotel from 09/08 - 09/18/08. Rest was great. The hotel, by Dominican standards (the so-called paravoziki run in some hotels), is not big, but it was enough, if you want to get lost easily. The hotel is not new, there are enough old worn-out rooms. We had an ocean view room - just the bomb (after a little renovation, the room looked decent). We flew via Paris, Air France airlines. In general, the time in the air is about 12 hours - tiring, but worth it. They immediately gave a room with two beds, despite the fact that we had a "Honey moon". They promised to change it and the next day they did it, without any additional payments and "hours of the receptionist". The area is very beautiful, many restaurants (in my opinion without the main one - 6-7). The main restaurant is huge, a lot of variety of food, seafood, fruits, fresh juices. It's true what they say that the "Dominican buffet" is the best, it's true. The choice of food is really impressive, and everything, absolutely everything, is delicious. Lots of fruits (pineapples, coconuts, papaya, passion fruit, oranges, various lemons, bananas, mangoes, avocados, carom and God knows what else) - fresh juices are made from all this in the morning. Dominicans are super friendly, friendly and unobtrusive people. You get a huge charge of positive energy from them. They always ask how things are, they always sing and help in case of emergency. The ocean is the bomb. The water is salty, but not so much that it tightens the skin after swimming. White sand and no marine reptiles nearby. Were on excursions - safari and Saona Island - interesting and informative.
In general, we were very satisfied. The Dominican Republic is a country that you need to visit at least once in your life. Photo of the hotel in my first review.
