Good day to all. I want to scribble another review about my "UNFORGETTABLE" vacation.
It all started with the fact that I wanted to urgently dump somewhere (I don’t mow from the army and the police). The choice was as follows: Sri Lanka, Thailand, Dominican Republic, maybe Cuba ...After sleepless nights on the net, the choice was made in favor of the Dominican Republic and the ghost of cholera roaming there ....Why a ghost? I answer: there is NOTHING there, the border with Haiti is closed, you can safely go. Also, I decided on a hotel - Occidental Grand Punta Cana 4 *. Someone also calls it flamenco - it doesn't matter - it's the same hotel. After the final selection of the hotel, it was time for a toothache from the travel agencies. Almost all leading travel agencies in Kyiv swept on my swing-carousels about the cost.
It is not the first time that "Extra Time", in the person of a pleasant person named Elena, was able to offer, in my opinion, an adequate cost of the tour: 2 adults + 1 child 6 years old all inclusive, with a direct flight Boryspil-Punta Cana 4300 raccoons with a surcharge for a late checkout. Since it was categorically breaking into the office of "Extra Time", therefore, I threw cabbage in Avala and 3 hours before departure on 09.01. at the Boryspil airport I received all the documents, went through registration (by the way, at registration, for some reason, the young lady said that there would be refueling in Ireland, but we didn’t really bother, because if you remember, we had a direct flight), skimped in a dutik and sat closer to the exit for landing 40 minutes before the scheduled time - 14.30. HURRAH. Holidays have begun!! ! On the scoreboard, the time is 14.30 - there is no landing, but these are all trifles ...on the information board, the departure time was interrupted by 15.00 and these are also trifles ...but when there were about a dozen of these trifles (time 17.
30) some bad thoughts began to come to mind ....And not only for me… already a lukewarm crowd of 240 people, having drunk everything that was bought in the dutik, wanted blood and food…. I already wanted to eat not like a child (you didn’t forget that my Kinder also went on vacation ??? ). Two young ladies in the information booth mumbled something indistinctly and made it look like some kind of telephone conversations on OUR problems ....HAHA. problems were already not only with us, but with the SHAMEFUL airline "aerosvit" and at the Boryspil airport ....The crowd began to slowly smash and rock the booth of the girls, demanding representatives of the aero suite or the airport terminal attendant ..... Oh, a miracle ...a young lady sailed up and announced that our plane had just departed !!!! ! To New York!!!! ! Have you ever seen 200 people silent at the same time with bulging eyes and drooping jaws?????
Ha, and yes I……seeing all this mover, the young ladies from the booth urgently disappeared, taking with them a rather shabby victim from the aero suite… Immediately, information appeared on the scoreboard about the departure time - 21.00, and the crowd had nothing to eat!!! ! ! ! At 20.00 all the suffering were given out: to whom a snack to whom food. It's hard to call it food. Since a new occupation appeared - respected passengers munched peacefully and waited for the “H” time. And it has come. True, not by boarding the plane, but by information on the scoreboard - departure time - 09.00 10.01. 2011. A quiet murmur smoothly turned into cries of "aerosvit - GANBA" ....since our cries to everyone were deep, deep, the cry sounded in the air: “LET'S TAKE THE PLANE FROM THE JEWS!! ! ”After a minute of silence (probably mourned), the crowd rushed to block the landing on the plane to Tel Aviv. The cunning inhabitants of the promised land managed to seep on board and were clearly not going to leave it ....
But other passengers of the "aero suite" lined up for landing in Riga, Alma-Ata ....Whoo, tin. The brave policemen nervously smoked and looked at the poor passengers of the injured flights, but did not take any specific actions ....after all, 200 insanely evil people ..... Riga was transferred to another exit, but even there Punta Canova quickly cut off the oxygen. The case began to smack of an international scandal, calls began to embassies, their consuls and ambassadors ....apparently, the leadership of the “aero suite” found new victims in the person of 2 girls, who were thrown to the crowd to be torn to pieces ...the airport management, represented by Mr. Shusharin, quietly froze in a phone call, but the representatives of the airport terminal did not come out to people, they say this is the problem of the “aero suite” ....
Two new representatives of the “aero suite” resolved the situation as best they could… only those from other cities with children were accommodated in the nearest hotels in Boryspil, the rest were settled for an overnight stay on the airport chairs in anticipation of a morning miracle…. . The miracle happened at 10.00 10.01. 2011. when the plane boarded. True, we sat on the plane for another hour, waiting for the same representatives of the “aero suite” - as it turned out, there were an order of magnitude fewer seats in the business class than the tickets sold ...again cheers. TAKEOFF. Again, the same hawk or food, as you like. I didn't like it twice...After 8 hours of flight, the plane ran out of water . . categorically .....even in the toilet ...instead of tea, "dear passengers", drink sprite, cola and other poison !!!!
In the port of Punta Cana, we quickly passed passport control (visa 10 bucks per nose, including children), quickly, with the help of the host country Southern Cross and Mibs Travel, we got into our comfortable buses and drove to hotels.
The Occidental Grand Punta Cana 4 * is a 30-minute drive, so there was no discomfort.
Check-in at the hotel: everything is fast, efficient, for each client a package of documents was already prepared at the reception and rooms were allocated.
Room: excellent large room with 2 double beds and one smaller one for a kinder. Cleaning in the room every day, but a paradox: they didn’t leave a tip for 3 days and everything was OK, as they started leaving a dollar, mysticism began: they wouldn’t put free water in the refrigerator, they wouldn’t put coffee. After 5 days of experimenting with tips, we decided to stop this thankless task and ...everything is OK again. The safe is free, but the paid core with a key is 4 bucks per day. Although theft is rare, it is better to play it safe. I recommend throwing a couple of ordinary cores from locks, they will definitely fit the safe. Saving….
Meals: varied, every day fish, meat, lobsters, shrimp and a lot of all sorts of yummy ...Every morning fresh fruit (well, remember, the one that you wear in Egypt for 2 bucks ?? ). Fruits: every day - bananas, papaya, melon, watermelon, carom, mango (I have never tried such a mango !!!! ! very tasty) and something else local - I don’t know the name ...5 themed restaurants are all great ...Bars: very tasty cocktails for every taste, good beer. In short, there are no problems with nutrition (except for gluttony).
Territory: large, green, everything is beautiful. On the territory of the hotel there is another hotel, a kind of 5-star Royal Club ..... the neighborhood with five-star neighbors did not bother, the staff treats everyone and breathes evenly ....
Animation: open 24 hours a day, everything is fine. Children's room: even with a language barrier (almost an abyss), my child constantly burst into it ....Terribly liked ....
The “horseback ride” service declared at the hotel is a divorce - an hour and a half free of charge along the coast - 35 bucks back. On the beach, non-motorized sports equipment is free of charge: kayaks, catamarans….
Excursions: prices will not add up. All excursions are expensive, and almost all the same from whom you take. Were in the local park Manati - cool. Tobacco factory - I recommend, Appointment with a travel agency representative at the hotel. Free transfer hotel-tobacco-hotel. Buy rum -9 bucks, cigars - from 3 cu. e. great for gifts. Russian-speaking guide, spin at a discount, a present - is conducted regardless of your check.
Beach. Clean, white coral sand, cleaned regularly. In the ocean, 200 meters from the shore, there is a reef about which waves break, waves no more than 1.5 meters high reach the shore, so jumping on the waves is very cool. It is very necessary to smear with a cream with a protection of at least 30. Few awnings from the sun, I recommend borrowing in advance.
Language: official Spanish, real Creole, most of the staff can communicate in English. With my linguistic disability (grade 1), there was no particular discomfort.
Departure. Check-out until 12.00. Since the departure was scheduled for 22.00 local time, late check-out in the amount of 170 raccoons was paid in advance in Kyiv. Although the hotel offers this service for 10 bucks an hour! Bow to Lenochka!!! ! 100 money loss out of the blue…. + 3.5 hours of showdowns about late checkout. The staff shouts "KNOW MONEY" with one voice. Pulling a couple of times on the limbs of the representative of the "Southern Cross" Dimon (who was in the hotel every day - respect), the problem was solved ...someone in the central office of the "Southern Cross" wildly blunted and did not send my money to the hotel ..... sorry for the wasted time on reception……
Communication with the house. Free transfer hotel-shopping center-hotel. Sim-card of the operator "Orange" 4 dollars. + for 10 dollars. refill.
It was enough to call Kyiv every day, and still left. When buying a SIM card, an aborigine tried to sell us the same SIM card for 56 bucks ...after our screams, our shopping at Orange cost 14 USD. e. Be vigilant.
Departure: earosvit scored again with a delay of 3 hours.
Conclusion: urgently pack your things and feel free to go to this hotel. Just beware of scammers and charlatans from the Aerosvit. To steal from me (and from 240 other passengers on this flight) a day of vacation without an apology or explanation is pure theft. See you in court gentlemen charlatans!!!!!
The answer for the curious - why "unforgettable"?? ? maybe someday I will forget the rest in this hotel, but charlatans from the aerosvit - NEVER.
