I want to share my impressions about the rest in the Dominican Republic and about the hotel from May 11 to May 22.2008. At the end of February of this year, my husband and I began to actively think about a summer vacation and consider various travel options. Reading travel sites with reviews and stories, we became very interested in the Dominican Republic, and decided to look at the photos. . .
We studied in detail all the resorts of the Dominican Republic (according to the Internet and guidebooks) and just fell in love with the snow-white beaches of Punta Cana. . .
The decision was made - we go there))) The only thing that bothered us was the high cost of the trip and the 12-hour flight. I started to analyze the list of agencies and hotels in terms of price-quality ratio (this question took a lot of time (if anyone is interested, I'll tell you how to do it effectively)) and chose the Tez tour offer, LTI Beach Resort Hotel .

Now I can say with confidence that I don’t regret a bit that I went to this particular hotel (although I note that the reviews of tourists about the Dominican Republic as a whole are still very few, and it’s generally difficult to find information about the LTI hotel).
On what basis did I choose a hotel / what did I take into account (all this was in LTI):
1. ) Not a very large number of hotel rooms, up to 500 vacationers at the same time (I don’t like a large number of people on the beach and in the restaurant when you have to look for a place for a long time or stand in line).
2. ) Green, well-groomed, and not very large territory, so that you don’t have to walk far or take a tram to the beach or to the restaurant. Although we like to walk on foot, but in this case it could cause some inconvenience.
3. ) Additional services and entertainment offered by the hotel. For example, we really wanted to learn local dances, go to a disco at the hotel, go in for water and other sports, and visit the spa center (I attended several procedures at the spa center at the hotel and was satisfied).
4. ) Availability of rooms with a balcony or a loggia. Possibility to order and pay for a room with ocean view from Moscow.
5. ) Enough variety of restaurants and bars.
6. ) Obligatory for us, it was also the presence of our own large beach, equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas. (Not all beaches in the Dominican Republic are equipped with sun umbrellas).
There were other wishes, but you can’t write everything))) We reviewed many hotels, and abandoned some, with a common integrated infrastructure. In such hotels it is noisy and there is one common beach for everyone.
(About the flight, hotel accommodation and organizational issues, I can answer additionally)
About food at the hotel:

- All vacationers can eat around the clock, for this, continental breakfasts are organized from 5 am and night snacks from 23 to 5 am in various restaurants that work alternately. Also, in several bars there is a fairly large selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails, drinks and coffee, which can also be consumed from morning until late at night. Such a power supply system is very convenient, because. outside the hotels there are no cafes, restaurants and shops with normal food.
- The hotel has 1 main buffet restaurant, 1 restaurant with (sausages, grill, french fries, etc. ), as well as 2 restaurants where you can reserve a table for dinner (these restaurants have 2 menus - free and additional usually with deli/seafood or specialties). Near the beach there is a bar with drinks and alcohol, at the reception - a lobby bar, near where the daily evening animation takes place - the night bar Calypso with snacks, as well as another bar in the disco.
- The food is quite varied, there is plenty to choose from for all tastes, although dishes tend to be repeated. There is not much fish and seafood (Dominicans, in general, do not particularly honor fish and practically do not eat it), but they are eaten every day. Of the fruits, there are always amazing mangoes and pineapples, as well as watermelons / melons, which were underripe during the season of our trip in May. The lobby bar and the main restaurant serve very good coffee, and delicious fruit and milkshakes are also served at breakfast.
Hotel accommodation:
The room has two comfortable wardrobes, 2 bedside tables, a coffee table with chairs, a free mini-bar with mineral water and carbonated drinks, a safe (for an additional fee), as well as a large table with drawers on which there is a TV.

In general, if you are not very demanding Tourists who are used to relaxing only in the highest class, then the hotel will be just a godsend for you (prices in most other hotels are on average 25 thousand more expensive than in TLI). Perhaps this is due to the fact that the hotel is German, while all the others are Spanish, but it fully corresponds to its 4 * category. The territory has everything you need for a comfortable stay, as well as a spa, gym, tennis court, disco, evening animation for children and adults (though in Spanish and English) and golf courses (some distance from the hotel) . I want to note that all the hotel staff do not speak Russian at all and do not understand it, so it is advisable to stock up on a Russian-Spanish phrase book, however, this does not apply to those who know English well - it is understood everywhere. The hotel staff is mostly quite friendly and benevolent, in general, this feature is inherent in almost all Dominicans, and they treat Russian, European and American tourists equally.
This is a pleasant surprise, compared to other countries where there is much more attention to Europeans. There are not many Russian tourists in all hotels in the Dominican Republic (there were no more than 20 people in our hotel at the same time), so we haven’t had time to get used to it yet. So far, Russian tourists who come to the Dominican Republic leave good impressions about our people and the country, I would like it to continue like this... After all, the Dominican Republic is a truly amazing place - Paradise on Earth, which you definitely want to return to again recharge with cheerfulness, positive energy, immerse yourself in the atmosphere of music and dance......
P. S.
The hotel is close to the airport, about 20 minutes by bus, if you do not count the check-in to other hotels where tourists are transported. We went outside the hotel only on excursions, so it's hard to say about the general infrastructure of Punta Cana. 5 minutes from the beach of the hotel, if you walk along the coastline, there is a small market with many souvenirs where you can buy almost everything. But, coffee, cigars and rum are best purchased in trusted stores in Santo Domingo (the capital of the Dominican Republic).
The hotel area is not very big, but quite green and cozy. There is one pool, where diving training is sometimes held, and water aerobics classes are held during the day. There are several shops with souvenirs, clothing and essentials, as well as an Internet cafe.
There is a free gym, tennis court, billiards, football and volleyball fields, golf at some distance from the hotel, as well as all kinds of water sports (many of them for free).
Private beach, quite large for the general area of the hotel, clean and well equipped with free sun loungers and sunshades.
There are morning and afternoon animation on the beach, evening animation for children and adults. Daily concerts with dance or circus show and night discos.
But all the entertainment is mostly in Spanish.
