We returned last week from the Dominican Republic and now I hasten to tell you....My husband and I decided that it was enough to work and sour in Moscow, it's time to go to the sea! They argued for a long time and chose between the Dominican Republic and Thailand. As a result, we decided that we would call our friends at Avatar Tour and, whatever they offered, we would fly there. The next day we were at the agency and paid for a tour for 12 days in Larimar Punta Cana 5 *, and after another 3 days we landed at the Punta Cana bungalow airport. The transfer to the hotel takes 40 minutes, and as our guide did not rush everyone on the bus, we arrived at the reception only an hour later.
We settled very quickly and in good rooms overlooking the pool and part of the sea, perhaps because Alina at the agency made us a bonus and put a note in the voucher "VIP tourists". The room was on the second floor and in the first building, right behind the Preference Club building. Near the pool and beach. The first floor is damp, and it’s too lazy to climb 3 or 4, we’re on vacation) The rooms are good, clean and not shabby, but the most interesting thing is the lack of a wall between the bathroom and the bedroom! Jacuzzi is next to the bed! The first days were unusual, then we got used to it. Rooms are cleaned every day and for a $1 tip they spin figurines from towels) At the same time, all the staff are very smiling and friendly. They did not notice any slowness on their part, probably because they themselves were resting and were not in a hurry. The rooms have air conditioning and a ceiling fan, so this time they did without snot). A coffee machine in the morning was also helpful) Flat TV shows a lot of channels, but not one in Russian. The mini bar was replenished every day, water, beer and juice bags. Several times they brought bottles of local rum for free, nice)
The difference in time affected, 8 hours with Moscow. We woke up early and wanted to eat at night, but they apparently foresaw this! The hotel operates room servis 24 hours and each room has a menu, you call and order, after 20 minutes everything is brought to you on a tray in bed. Is free!! ! Adapted to local time only after 4-5 days.

The hotel area is not very large compared to neighboring hotels, but well-groomed and comfortable. There were no vile creatures. Everything is well located and did not bother to go to the sea or a restaurant. The pools are large and clean, no smell of bleach or any impurities. There were always free places at the pools, but how lucky you are at the sea. The beach at the hotel is very beautiful - wide, clean, with white sand and no tides. On a sunny day, the water turned turquoise, the beauty is indescribable. Somehow we decided to take a walk along the shore and after walking 300-400 meters we were surprised how everything had changed! Mud, the coast is covered in algae, there is practically no beach (Having seen enough of this "beauty", we returned back and were convinced once again that we have a very good hotel and very well located.
As for food, there is not much choice, but everything is very tasty. There are themed dinners every evening. On the territory of the hotel, in addition to the main restaurant, there are 5 Ala Carte restaurants, with cuisine from different countries. Japanese is even nothing) Alcohol is poured without sparing, every day they invented the cocktail of the day and turned it into a holiday.
How many read reviews about this hotel, for some reason no one praised the animation! Apparently the reviews are compiled by people who have seen this hotel in pictures or on promotional tours! As far as we are not fans of all these animation programs, but here it is a live theater. The guys are laid out from morning to night. Once they surprised the entire coast of Bavaro, landed a red helicopter on the beach and circus clowns jumped out of it !! ! It was a shock for everyone. The children squealed with joy with boiling water when they saw that the decorated clowns on stilts flew to them with gifts))) And in the evening, the same animators staged theatrical performances on the central square of the hotel. Well done!
The hotel has a small shop selling souvenirs, alcohol, cigarettes, chips and various sweets. You can also buy the necessary tablets and ointments for tanning. A separate room with a large selection of cigars, while prices are almost the same as elsewhere, so if you want to buy souvenirs home, then buy on the last day there, at the airport everything costs many times more.
Time on vacation flies very quickly and we did not notice how that sad day came when it was time to go home. Conclusion: the hotel is worth the money and can be recommended! I liked everything in the hotel! And as they say, you can stick to a lamppost) When we chose Dominican hotels in Avatar Tour, we saw more beautiful and richer hotels than Larimar, but the price there is completely different. Alina advised us this one and we did not regret it, many thanks to her for her help.

Yes, and here is my opinion about the Preferend Club - this is money thrown away! It differs only in that there is a bath on the balcony, but as we walked around the hotel, there has never been anyone in these baths. There are also 2 separate pools in the club, but they are small and there are more people there than in the main one. More like a paddling pool))) I did not notice any restrictions on movement around the territory, all restaurants are available, so I see no reason to overpay for the sake of a bath on the balcony and small, densely populated pools. If you book this hotel, take the deluxe pool view room, and not the simplest deluxe garden view, the view from the window will not be on the garden, but on the neighboring hotel.
