I want to tell you about our vacation in the Dominican Republic. We rested there from February 24 to March 10.2010 at the MAJESTIC ELEGANSE 5 * hotel. If suddenly someone is going to this hotel, keep in mind that this hotel is designed for a quiet holiday. But everything is in order:
1. We flew with the tour operator TEZ TOUR, for which I thank them very much, the TRANSAERO airline, about which I also can’t say anything bad. Before the trip, we read a lot of reviews in which there were unflattering reviews about this airline. There was nothing particularly wrong with the flight. The class was chosen premium - economy. Everything was as promised: a separate reception desk, wide seats, etc. But with the return back there were small problems. The plane was delayed for almost 3 hours, they flew in economy class, and not in premium, but rather this mistake was not TRANSAERO, but the employees of the local airport. Yes, still, there was no particular shaking.
2. Hotel MAJESTIC ELEGANSE 5 * is designed for a quiet holiday, for relaxation !!!!!!! ! In this hotel, all the young people who were there are the four of us. ALL!! ! The rest of the residents are elderly. Everyone who is over 50 is all there!!!!! ! Very boring, zero animation. No discos. We were dying of boredom! But the benefit of the hotel is 5 * all inclusive, and spirits flowed like a river. After a few servings of mamajuana (this is their local drink based on rum, wine and honey, be sure to try it) and majito became much more fun!
3. The weather let us down in such a way that it is beyond words. Of the 15 days that we were there, the sun was only 6-7 days. All other days the sky was overcast with such clouds that just ………. . Yes, if you are told that a tropical downpour lasts only 15 minutes, do not believe it. We have had it for 2 days without stopping.
4. As for excursions, we were only on one. Saona Island and Altos de Chavon. Fabulous!! ! Be sure to visit, you won't regret it!!!
5. Service is good. The beaches are clean, there were enough sun loungers for everyone, at least on the ocean. I don’t know about the pool, because we went to admire the beauty of the Atlantic Ocean, and not a pool of bleach.
