Recently arrived from the Dominican Republic. Until now, he has not yet entered the rut of Moscow everyday life. Rested in the Dominican Republic for the first time. And I really liked it. I'm generally used to Egypt and Turkey, all inclusive. I paid, and then the travel agency is responsible for everything. And then friends from Purto Plata returned, advised acquaintances there, we bought tickets with my wife and flew. The flight was long, but surprisingly easy. Maybe we were in anticipation? tried to learn some spanish words. No way. The airport in Santo Domingo is quite civilized. a lot of people. At first we were confused, but we were met by the guys with whom we contacted while still at home. Whites meeting there they were alone.
I was immediately struck by the Caribbean Sea, the sunset, the lights, the smells and the movement of cars. be prepared for unusual traffic rules. The guys settled us in a hotel, the next day they took us to the Colonial zone, to the grave of Columbus, forts from the times of the Spanish conquerors. It immediately blew at times, when I was still fond of books about pirates and conquerors.
Two days was enough to see the whole capital. After that, they went north to the Atlantic Ocean. across the country. It is very interesting to see something truly Dominican, besides hotels, the life of locals, buy real souvenirs and try national cuisine, and not bored European pizzas and spaghetti in a hotel. We arrived in Sosua, then Cabarete, stayed at the hotel, having agreed in advance the class and price of the hotel with our new acquaintances. The ocean is like nothing else. Such power!! ! Strength!! ! Lots of Europeans! Kiters (the same surfers, only with a parachute), surfers, small restaurants, a leisurely lifestyle. Lots of properties for sale. We looked at something (there was not enough time for more) and left for Samana.
This is a peninsula in the northeast of the country. The way there is simply beyond words. It's mesmerizing. However, the cities there are not inferior in beauty. Were at the waterfall, the blue lake, in the gris-gris lagoon. We really wanted to see the property there and the prices for it, but even in 2 weeks we did not have time to do everything. They also wanted to scuba dive into the magical emerald-turquoise water, but....return tickets disappeared. So I can say that I looked at the country at least partially, not like Egypt. I'm going again in January (if they let me go from work). Many thanks to the guys for their help, without whom I would not have gone anywhere. They work very competently and unobtrusively, advise worthwhile things, show what you are asking or looking for. I advise everyone to go to the Dominican Republic, while visas have not yet been introduced. Write to anyone who is interested, I can give the guys an email and phone number
