Lö rrach is a very small town, and tourists use it as a base for trips to neighboring Basel, where an overnight stay costs one and a half times more simply because it is Switzerland. Lö rrach is a very small town, and tourists use it as a base for trips to neighboring Basel, where an overnight stay costs one and a half times more simply because it is Switzerland.
It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the railway station to the hotel. There are many cafes nearby, a fairly large supermarket around the corner. It is quiet in the evenings, because after 8 pm the town dies out. But! A bunch of migrants from God knows where: either Africa, or Turkey, or the Middle East. In the evenings they stand stoned, they make a toilet from the street and behave inappropriately. In general, Lö rrach is the only city in Germany that I have seen so far, and I don’t want to see Germany anymore.
The hotel prepares breakfast, it is quite hearty, fresh crispy croissants are especially good. And coffee can be consumed in unlimited quantities from the coffee machine, this is a plus. The rooms are not big, but not small, you can live. There is a hair dryer, air conditioning, a tiny safe and a TV. Wifi is shameful: slow and constantly falling off. Cleaning is so-so, the room is frankly dusty in the corners.
