very convenient for those who do not know the city at all. This hotel is located 100 meters from the Hauptbahnhof (main railway station), its northern exit. To the airport 12 minutes by train (S8 or S9).
The rooms are very small. Those rooms that are positioned as executive (double, but with additional amenities and a larger footage), in fact, are not like that - ordinary "kopeck piece". Moreover, even if when booking you ordered a certain type of bed (i. e. one double or two separate), it is not a fact that you will be provided with exactly this. You will have to prove to the reception that you need exactly what YOU asked for, and not what THEY provide. Also, in the room upon check-in (executive room - where bathrobes, slippers, extra towels, shampoo, kettle, coffee, tea, cups) are already included in the price... Again, you will have to PROVE at the reception that all this SHOULD BE in the room, according to the previously issued price list of their own hotel. With a sigh: "If you want...." from the side of employees, all this will be given to you. You might think that these picky guests invent these conditions, and not the hotel includes them in advance in the cost of this room. HM....
Most of the staff are quite friendly, except for some employees at the reception. And these few employees (their behavior) definitely make a huge difference in the negative side compared to the few positives that can be found at all in this hotel... From my own experience and from observing other visitors, I can say that the staff at the reception there are quite not eager to work. They will smile sweetly at you when they meet, but then all courtesy quickly disappears. And if you approach them with some kind of complaint (like bathrobes or a kettle in the room, but not provided, or even just a non-working TV remote control), then you generally become enemy number 1. For example, I had to change remote control from the TV 3 times... They gave out a non-working one, without even bothering to check at least one of them first for operability. By the way, without a remote control, you won’t even be able to watch TV normally. on your first visit to the room, the inscription "Dear Mrs/Mr.... Press OK to continue" will flash colorfully on the TV screen. This prompts you to enter a pay TV room number or opt out of the service. If you forcibly switch the TV with the buttons on the case itself, then every 3-5 minutes it will still automatically switch to this initial splash screen...
AND THE MOST IMPORTANT - even if you paid for the room in advance, keep in mind - upon check-in, YOU WILL BE REMOVED WITH THE ENTIRE "GUARANTEE" AMOUNT. AT LEAST EUR 250. AND DO IT SILENTLY. For example, if the room rate is 213 euros for three days, 255 euros of this guarantee amount will be charged. To your surprised question "Why?! " after the money has already been withdrawn from the account, you will be answered with a sweet smile that this is a payment for possible losses that you can bring to the hotel... And that this amount will immediately be returned to your account as soon as you leave the hotel. BUT! No documents in this regard will be provided to you under any pretext. And this money will not be returned soon, and it is not a fact that it will be returned at all. For example, I am still waiting... This is despite the fact that every couple of days I send them a fax to this effect, so that they do not forget. By the way, it is best to clarify all controversial points in German, because. Even the staff doesn't speak English very well. I won't talk about other languages. . .
There are no recommendations and there cannot be. If you don't want to completely ruin your stay in Frankfurt, never, ever set foot in the InterSityHotel Frankfurt at Poststrasse 6.
By the way, in pursuit of the financial issue. If you have paid for this hotel in advance, under any pretext, demand at least some document in this regard. They will NEVER send you a check, but they will write in a fax (from the nth time, it turned out for the 3rd time) that the payment was made - HAS BEEN PAID. It is this line (in the absence of a check) that will save you from charging for the room TWICE! They tried to charge me three times. Twice they succeeded (actually, the very payment for the room and this "guarantee" amount). The third time I didn't let them do it. When checking out, I was asked if I used the mini-bar (by the way, extremely scarce - 2 waters, 2 juices, 2 beers) and pay TV. After my negative answer, they smiled sweetly at me and....they billed me for 94 euros! And here again I HAD TO PROVE that my number had already been paid for in full a long time ago (this is where that fax with a small addition HAS BEEN PAID is very necessary! ), that they took a guarantee amount from me, that I did not use paid services, that I ate breakfast and did not dine at this hotel. After that, they told me (with regret about the lost chance to make money): "Sorry, there was a mistake. " And they let go in peace. And I'm still waiting for those 255 euro "guarantees"........
