Sights of Dusseldorf.
Castle Square is one of the central squares of the old town, in the past the castle-residence of local rulers. But unfortunately only one tower remained from the castle, better than nothing. Note from me: for those who love coffee, there is a coffee shop on the tower with a stunning view of the Rhine.
One of the visiting cards of the old city is the basilica of St. Lambert. Catholic church in the Gothic style. One of the oldest buildings in Dü sseldorf. Note from me: a structure made of bricks.
Most of all I liked the Rhine embankment. She is beautiful at sunset. A note from me: if you want to know the current water level in the river, look at the clock. And this is true, not far from the Basilica of St. Lambert, there are extraordinary clocks.
Most importantly, don't forget to see the equestrian sculpture dedicated to Johann Wilhelm of the Palatinate on the Market Square. According to legend, when making this equestrian statue, the sculptor did not have enough material to make it, and in order to complete it, a boy, an apprentice caster, was sent to the city, who went from house to house and collected donations in the form of silver spoons from wealthy Dusseldorfers. A note from me: the townspeople themselves call him Jan Wellem. With this man there was a rapid growth and flourishing of Dü sseldorf.
The famousRoyal Avenueits bouquet of flowers, not tulips, not roses, not chrysanthemums and not even daisies, but countless boutiques, first-class shopping centers on the east side, banks and credit institutions on the west. Note: the locals call it "Kyo".
Also don't forget to visit the water zoo in Dü sseldorf, "Aqua-Zoo". Impeccable facilities and smart layout. Note from me: it's located in the Nordpark, where you can admire the fountains, flower arrangements, just enjoy the outdoors.
