Out of competition or Swiss - Italian perfection (Part 1)
I have long dreamed of visiting Switzerland and not just visiting its cities, but crossing it all to see the Alps in all their splendor. For this reason, my husband and I chose a bus tour from the tour operator Accord Tour, which promised an exciting journey through 6 European countries, and most importantly, the route ran through the Alps. I’ll clarify right away that our trip was of an introductory nature in order to see the main sights and take note of the cities and objects that I especially liked, and besides, it was a budget option. Naturally, for those who like to study everything for a long time and thoroughly, this option is not suitable. Our journey began in Lviv, we started from terminal A at 9.30 in the morning, I will describe everything in detail by day.
Day one: Transit crossing through the territory of Poland and the Czech Republic.
We went through customs control quite quickly at the Krakovets-Korcheva border, and then we went for lunch to the Bida tavern on the territory of Poland. At this time, everyone was already pretty hungry and naturally made an impressive order. But when lunch was brought to us, we were simply stunned, as it was not just big plates, they were basins, while everything was very tasty and relatively inexpensive (by the way, it was the best lunch during the entire trip), so we advise everyone tourists to visit the Bida tavern.
One serving
Further, along the entire route, it was possible to dine either at gas stations or on the bus from the stocks that we took with us. Therefore, immediately advice: take some food with you - sausage, vacuum-packed cheeses, stew, canned food, vegetables, water, juices, cookies, etc.
who has any gastronomic preferences. We even took a thermos from home, and in the morning we brewed tea at the hotel, made sandwiches, and if we couldn’t have lunch in a cafe, we refreshed ourselves in this way. Technical stops were every 2.5 - 3 hours, but they were exactly enough for the toilet and to drink coffee with some kind of croissant (usually at gas stations). I’ll note right away that it wasn’t boring and tiring, throughout the entire route our wonderful guide (or pani “cap”, as the Poles called her) Katyusha Voloshina took us on a virtual-real journey through the countries that we passed. There are landscapes outside the window, and we listen to history and legends, watch films to feel the spirit of these places and enjoy the journey!
Our bus
Immediately I want to thank Ekaterina Voloshina for her calm and patient attitude towards tourists, her desire to help and give answers to all questions (sometimes there were some nuances, and not through the fault of the guide, but it was Katya who had to apologize to everyone). And after watching the next season of the program "Eagle and Tails", we arrived in Prague. Time 23.00, by the time we settled in, it was already 24.00 (distance Lviv - Prague 870 km). The hotel was called Slavia 3 *, well, the hotel is rather modest, of course, there was no hairdryer or refrigerator in the room. Breakfast, by the way, was not bad, in general, a standard European breakfast without frills.
Day Two: Breakfast at 7.00, at 8.00 we left the hotel and headed to the capital of Bavaria - Munich (distance 400 km). We arrived in Munich around 13.00 and at first everyone went on a sightseeing tour of the city, which lasted approximately 1.5 hours.
The tour guide was Frau Larisa, but I’ll tell you this, something... Probably no one could talk about Munich so uninterestingly and boringly, while her whole appearance also did not add beauty and aesthetics to her story (dear Accord - tour! Well, where Do you find such grief guides?? ? ).
In general, at first the impression of Munich for some reason did not work out, although the motto of the city is “Munich loves you”, and we were convinced of this later when we ourselves went for a walk around the city and saw these cozy courtyards, houses with original sculptures, a beautiful park called the “English garden”, beer gardens, the so-called “beer gardens”, which are everywhere in Munich.

After the review, we were offered a choice of two electives: Neuschwanstein Castle or a visit to the Munich Residence.
We chose the residence (30 euros including entrance ticket). To be honest, the residence did not impress me, although maybe I just expected more, since it was stated that this is a colossal architectural ensemble of eight beautiful buildings, where the masterpieces that the monarchs of Germany collected are stored, there are 130 halls, 10 courtyards and entire galleries and palace complexes. And in the end, the guide Evgeny came to the rescue, who played everything very colorful, despite the fact that not all the halls were open, they simply didn’t let us in somewhere, somewhere it was not reserved, and a lot of other nuances. In general, advice: do not pay 23 euros for an elective, but go to the residence yourself (it is in the center, just where your review ends), buy a ticket for 7 euros and see everything (without a guide, of course, but it does not cost 23 Euro).
Royal Residence
Now about the trip to Neuschwanstein Castle.
Half of our tourists went to this elective for 38 euros. As a result, they arrived at the castle late, after 18.00 and naturally the entrance to the castle was already closed, of course, they saw it from the outside, well, that’s all (they said that if they knew, they wouldn’t go), although the castle really looked amazing (I write from their words).
And we, having seen the royal residence of the Wittelsbachs, went to taste Bavaria, otherwise what would Bavaria be without beer and sausages? First we went to the famous beer house "Hofbrä uhaus"

but I really didn't like the smell there, it was a persistent aroma of sour cabbage, and we chose an outdoor cafe.
Our order: beer "Augustin" 0.5; a portion of sausages (6 small pieces), a portion of stewed sauerkraut (bill: 18 euros per person). Well, what can I tell you... about beer... I chose dark, it’s still nothing, but my husband is light, he said that our Chernihiv is one to one, sausages are like sausages, cabbage is not at all to my taste, it’s sour, I usually throw it away. In short, I realized that Bavarian cuisine is not for me (in the Czech Republic we really drank such a beer ! ! ! and by the way, in Dresden we also ate bratwurst sausages, so I liked them more).
And then we went for a walk in the evening Munich and wandered into the "English Garden" (walk along the main shopping street "Maximillianstrasse", go through the park "Hofgarten" (this is exactly the park of the royal residence), cross the Prinzregenstrasse and you will find yourself in the English garden.
Hofgarten Park
English Garden
The garden is beautiful, however, it was already getting dark, and after wandering around the park for a while, I had to return to the city center - to Marienplatz. Marienplatz is the heart of the city, here are the Old and New Town Halls, St. Michael's Cathedral and the tallest cathedral in the city "Frauenkirche".
New Town Hall (there is a clock with figures and various theatrical performances are played at certain times: performances from the life of the city)
Old Town Hall
The cathedral has its own ritual, which is included in the mandatory part of the program (so as not to be bored) - you need to put your foot in the middle of the square (where, according to legend, the devil's footprint is), make a wish and take a picture, which we did.
I definitely began to like the city, and besides, it was Saturday, and all the inhabitants of Munich were resting, there were some shows and performances in the center.
At first I thought that we were on some kind of holiday, there were colorful posters and balloons everywhere, but it turned out that a day off for the Germans is always a holiday.
There is a huge container of beer in the center of this vehicle and people are walking like this
We walked until 23.00, as we were waiting for the return of part of the group from the castle, looked at the windows in the houses and were imbued with the atmosphere of the capital of Bavaria.
Then, after waiting for our lovers of castles, we went to spend the night at a hotel in the city of Bobingen, 100 km away. from Munich. We arrived at the hotel at 00.30 at night. The Schempp 3 * hotel is pretty decent, there was a hairdryer and a refrigerator in the room.
But the breakfast was more than modest, the Germans saved on us.
To the question, what to bring from Germany?
I advise you to buy sweet Bavarian mustard (we didn’t have enough time for more).
