The mountain-lake region of Bavaria! (2)
Mountain - lake district of Bavaria!
Schoenau am Koenigssee - Koenigssee - Ramsau, Wimbachklamm Gorge - Rossfeld-Panoramastrasse - Jenner cable car - Kehlstein (Eagle's Nest) - Marktschellenberg, Almbachklamm Gorge.
3. Ramsau, Wimbachklamm Gorge.
Gorge address: Wimbachbr? cke, 83486 Ramsau.
Here is just a parking place for cars, of course, paid. But with a guest card, as usual, a discount. I saw a public transport stop, most likely an RVO bus
http://www. Berchtesgaden. de/de/wimbachklamm
yes, exactly, RVO bus no. 846 von Berchtesgaden.
Further, following the signs, we go to a small hill, past houses, gardens, hotels and restaurants, among the meadows ...to the right of the road there will be a token vending machine, about 300 meters before the entrance to the gorge. A guest card is also valid here, 1 token costs 1.50 euros / person. In front of the entrance to the gorge itself there will be a spinner, the token is lowered into the machine, the spinner lets you into the gorge. The entrance is only here, the movement is only in one direction, at the exit there is exactly the same turntable, which functions only for the exit.
The Wimbachklamm Gorge is also located in the Berchtesgaden National Park.
This gorge was first mentioned in connection with tourism in 1843, when the first wooden decks were being built, and since 1847, it has been open to the first visitors. The route itself is not difficult and not long, about 200 meters, quite picturesque. After spending most of the day in the sun, it seemed to be very cool there.
Thin strands of waterfalls flow down over polished stones throughout the entire gorge, somewhere with greater force, somewhere with less force, forming a powerful stream at the very bottom.
We walked through the gorge 2 times almost completely alone, not counting a couple of young girls, who, like us, didn’t think one walk was enough. Coming out of it, we stood on the bridge for some more time and went back to the parking lot. At this late evening hour, there were not particularly many people walking there, no one and nothing interfered with the contemplation of nature.
4. Rossfeld-Panoramastrasse.

Ro? feldstra? e 83471 Berchtesgaden
There is not even much to write here, you just need to drive along this road, make a few stops for a photo session, take a walk, enjoy the views of mountains, forests, rivers...
Rossfeld-Panoramastrasse - almost circular toll road B 999, a kind of loop. We arrived at Berchtesgaden, saw the signs there and followed them. There is an entrance to this road both from the north side and from the south. We drove from the south side, paid 7.00 euros for the car and two passengers, forgot about the guest card, so I don’t know if there are discounts for it?...
The road is beautiful, wide, the serpentines are not steep in my opinion, it is a pleasure to drive. There are many parking lots along the entire length of the road, you can stop everywhere. I saw bus stops there, so you can get there by shuttle bus.
To the south we see Hohen G? ll (2522 m), further to the east we see the Salzachtal valley and somewhere in the distance Salzburg, as well as the Salzburger Alpen, and sheep grazing peacefully on the slopes.
Die Ro? feldstra?
e is considered to be the highest track in Germany, at an altitude of 1600 meters. Here in winter there is a ski track, 6 km long, with a descent to Oberau and with peculiar lifts. At the highest point there is a very large parking lot, in front of it there is still a not high hill with a not big route of 700 meters, that's where these elevators / lifts are located.
5. Jenner cable car.
http://www. Jennerbahn. de/de/russisch/
As I wrote above, there is a large paid parking nearby. It is very convenient, you do not have to think where to attach the car. The ascent to the very top and the descent back cost 21.40 euros / person. Pleasure, of course, is not cheap, and the guest card does not work here. There are also maps of all summer hiking trails and winter ski trails.
But it's very nice on the mountain itself, and the views are great, and different hiking trails...
Cabins for two, I really liked it, you sit, look around, take pictures of the most beautiful landscapes through small open windows, in a word, enjoy.
The cable car has 2 stations: middle and upper. We do not go out on the middle one, we rise immediately to the upper one, to a height of 1.874 meters. Outside the window float various landscapes. The ascent and descent takes approximately 20 minutes. As for me, it could have been longer, I just adore cable cars.
On the way there is such a nice lake with a view of Mount Watzmann. It is not natural, it is artificial, designed to collect water. And on the edges of the lake there are benches, probably with views of K? nigssee. I just noticed in the photo how the top of the mountain is reflected in the lake, the nearby trees are reflected, it’s kind of understandable, they are nearby, but the mountain ...is not at all close, and even on the other side of the lake.
The top station has restaurants, a souvenir shop, and countless hiking trails with lookouts.
Berggaststaette Jennerbahn or a restaurant upstairs, the prices there are of course somewhat expensive: for example, cola 0.4 costs 3.50, but for cakes the price is quite acceptable, they took 2 different ones, 2.70 each. It was very pleasant to sit on the open veranda there. You can see several mountains from different angles: Hoher Goell, Hohes Brett, Schneibstein, Windschartenkopf, Schoenfeldspitze...and hikers with sticks and backpacks walk along all hiking trails. And we're heading to the top of the mountain.
Only from a distance it seems that the road is almost flat, but in fact it is a constant climb up the stairs. Several people gathered in one place, and everyone was diligently taking pictures of something, I waited a bit until the crowd dispersed a little, went closer to see what was there, because it’s interesting. And it was this flower. It didn’t seem special to me, I ask: what is the name of it.
With knowledge of the matter they answer: edelweiss. I once saw a program about these flowers, something that doesn’t look like edelweiss at all, maybe a different variety? ...
I only reached the observation platform, I didn’t want to go anywhere else. I no longer began to climb up to the very cross, and I got tired, and my knee, which was not yet fully strengthened, made itself felt.
I sat comfortably here on a bench, and my husband went to the very top, which, as usual in the Alps, is marked with a cross, for beautiful views. As I wrote above: 1874 meters above sea level. Valley Berchtesgaden, K? nigssee, the surrounding mountains...simply divine.
To be continued. . .
