Rain, rain, rain… it’s only a couple of minutes left to Prague, but the whole sky is overcast, I don’t feel like going out at all…

But a miracle cannot fail to happen, and Wenceslas Square (our starting point) meets us "without tears. " It seems to me important to start getting acquainted with the city from Novo Mesto - in this way we move through the pages of history - from recent times, and further - to the Middle Ages. So, a monument to the majestic Vaclav himself (although in fact he was not tall, and did not differ in powerful physique; ), the beautiful building of Narodni Muzeum, more reminiscent of a royal palace, then Narodni Divadlo (“theatre” - I love the Czech language  ), Prasna brama… there are so many interesting things around, the city lives its own life, people are fussing around, tourists merge in the general circulation with ordinary citizens… but for a minute time stops - Old Town Square - here it is! Matka Bozi pred Tynom Cathedral and the famous clock on the Old Town Hall are the symbols of Prague for me.

This is an amazing feeling when you stand in the middle of the square, which you have seen so many times on postcards, and you cannot believe that this is happening to you. But that's not all, just a couple of minutes and the Charles Bridge opens up the panorama of Prague Castle and the unruly banks of the Vltava ...artists, artisans, guides, sellers, tourists, a deep dark stormy sky - an amazing kaleidoscope ...and in this seething stream a flock of swans, 20 individuals 30, big strong birds that live right on the banks of the Vltava and happily eat bread right out of their hands ...Everything! The highest point of moral pleasure has been reached  you can go to the hotel, walking along the embankment, and on the way look into the Jewish quarter (where without it) ...

Not a trace of yesterday's clouds remained. Prague Castle shines with the rays of the morning sun, St. Vitus Cathedral is the most beautiful Gothic building ever seen!

Gradchany, Zlata street, observation platforms from which a magnificent view of the city opens. Further along the route - Strahov Monastery and Petrin Hill. Climbing a couple of hundred more steps up the Petř í n Tower is definitely worth it - you will see the whole of Prague, with its red roofs, pointed towers and endless bridges. Having descended on the funicular, we find ourselves on the embankment, from where it is a stone's throw to the Opera House. Our path lies in Visegrad. Looking at the map, one gets the impression that the distances are quite large, but with all the photographs, tenderly looking at the smallest sights (including the Dancing House and Charles Square), an hour later we find ourselves in a fortress. Vysehrad is an ancient fortress (castle), erected in the 10th century, within the walls of which are the Gothic Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, the remains of an ancient Romanesque basilica, the Romanesque rotunda of St. Martin.

Visegrad Cemetery is the burial place of famous figures of the Czech Republic. According to the existing legend, it was here that the legendary Princess Libuš e predicted the heyday and world fame of the Czech capital - Prague. . The day is approaching sunset, the main "book" places are open, the camera is full of pictures, and the head is spinning from ...yes, it's just spinning ...You can not rush anywhere, just walk along the familiar streets, although your legs are tired of the paving stones, enjoy delicious meat dishes in pubs , washing them down with a light and completely non-drunk beer, listening to music on the Old Town Square, peering into the deep waters of the Vltava ...

I fell in love with Prague immediately. From the first minutes there was surprise and misunderstanding, what does everyone find in this city?

After all, the architecture is true - classical European, green, clean, but all this was already somewhere ...The charm of Prague for me was revealed in its slowness, in hospitality, in an endless labyrinth of narrow streets, and to be honest, in the cheerfulness of Czech pubs, and at the same time - in the tranquility of the evening city, when a pink haze falls on the roofs of houses, and the streets are empty ...I spent several wonderful days in this city, and now, looking at the pictures, I'm a little sad that this adventure has already ended. Although, who knows, it seems to me that Prague is one of those cities that you always return to!

p. s. and some practical advice. Prague is a tourist Mecca! Everything here is designed to make it convenient and easy for the tourist! Restaurants, hotels, information centers, an excellent public transport network - everything is for you.

And tourists love this city very much ...very much ...there are a lot of them here! ! !

Charles Bridge is empty only after 12 at night and until 5 in the morning. . You get a little tired of people, but you quickly get used to not noticing them, it’s just a pity that it’s almost impossible to take a photo without strangers; )
