Wonderful trip to the Czech Republic
Rested from 05.01 to 12.01. 2011 the dispatching operator DVM-Tour, meeting Empire service
About Aksa Hotel. The hotel suited us very well. They settled us in 1 minute, the girl herself filled out the arrival sheets, and we just signed and that's it.
Its main advantage is that it is in the center. Opposite the Billa shopping center, next to the Palladium shopping center. Very close to the meeting point for the tour. Bus tours started at 8 am, and the meeting point was behind our hotel, so we also had time to have breakfast. Breakfasts, as elsewhere, are sausages, cottage cheese, cereals and eggs. Our room overlooked the side with trams, but the first days were so tired that they were simply not heard. They fell asleep with a sweet dream. In summer, you can probably hear with open windows, because. they have night trams that run all night.
Our leisure program has already included excursions to the Old Town, Dresden (Germany), Karlovy Vary, Prague Castle. I strongly advise you to look at what excursions are offered to you from the desired date of departure !!!!! , because. It's not cheap to buy locally. The most expensive Dresden, Karlovy Vary and Austria are around 90 euros per person. If we were leaving from 6.01, then the excursion program was already different. In general, different dates of arrival and different programs.
About excursions. Comfortable shoes are a must!!!!!! : 1) Old Town. The guide was disgusting, she spoke very quietly, showed incomprehensible places and shopping centers. In the following excursions, we tried not to cross paths with her. Although we ourselves then walked around the old Prague and found more interesting places where she could lead us. She also ran so hard that at the end a third of the group was lost.
2) Dresden. The trip is not tiring 2 hours with a stop for rest. All the way the guide told something interesting. A visit to the gallery costs 13 euros separately. After the gallery there are 3 free hours, and whoever did not go has more than an hour. At this time, we visited local shopping centers and tried delicious German sausages with mulled wine. I liked the trip.
3) Karlovy Vary must visit!!! ! I really liked this measured atmosphere of the town. Drink medicinal water and bring a lot of souvenirs. Cosmetics, waffles, souvenirs, and, well, my favorite Becherovka (also produced there). On the road one way, too, 2 hours.
4) Prague Castle was shown to us by Russian guide Galina. Very interesting and detailed. If someone does not have time to take pictures or film the changing of the guard, then it will be possible to arrive there by tram 22 and take a walk on your own. From the Charles Bridge you will have to go uphill all the time. Even before the start of the tour, we were allegedly taken to a gold factory. Well, who was in Turkey knows, 4 floors of a building of incomprehensible gold and an exit through the last floor.
About restaurants. Were in many restaurants everywhere there is a knee and delicious beer, but the prices and portions are different everywhere. I can advise a cafe that is located next to the Aksa hotel (if you go left, the next lane is left and the corner building is right at the intersection) De La Place address Havlickova ulice 4 It contains Ukrainian, so you will find Slavic dishes on the menu (dumplings, dumplings with potatoes). They have very large portions. We took a knee for two and cabbage as a side dish. YUMMY. Budvar beer. I also advise you to try real chips, which are prepared by the chef himself. The staff speaks Russian, there is a Russian menu and they accept cards for payment.
About shopping. If you are interested in branded brands, then only in the center or the Palladium shopping center. We went to Khodov (metro Khodov) there is nothing interesting. Well, maybe we just didn't like it.
About Tax Free. You need to make a purchase in the same place at the same time in the amount of 2000 kroons. The seller will give a questionnaire and checks to receive at the airport. They actually return 10% of the amount, although they have 20% VAT. And the uncle threw back the checks of those stores that did not conclude an agreement with them. Do not hand over things right away, they may ask you to show them.
Have a good rest and new impressions to all !!!! !
