Last year my old dream to see Prague came true. For a very long time I was preparing for the trip, applying for a passport, collecting certificates for a visa, and all this time with great pleasure I told everyone who wanted or did not want to listen where I was going to relax in the summer. I didn’t bother with a ticket for a long time - I chose the one that suited me for the price and the number of days in the Czech Republic, and right there, three weeks before the trip, I had already practically collected all the necessary things. All that was left was to wait for the day of departure! I had never been abroad before, so I didn’t worry much about possible translation difficulties and other nuances.

They reached the Czech Republic through Poland. On the Ukrainian-Polish border, they spent 5 hours, but on the Polish-Czech border, all 8 hours! As we were told, the scanner broke down at the checkpoint and they did not want to let us in as non-EU citizens!

But during this time, the whole bus got to know each other, and since the group mostly consisted of young people, they didn’t worry too much about this!

During this time, we managed to shake the saleswoman in the bookstall on the border, so I still don’t know if she understood Russian. If she understood, then I sympathize with her. -)

Some tourists even found a checkpoint for Polish cyclists, which was closed on the occasion of Sunday. Particularly impatient were already going to move on their own to the territory of the Czech Republic through this passage, but just by this time the scanner was fixed and we were allowed into the Czech Republic.

The hotel where we were placed was called Brilliant *** and is located in Prague, 9 Prosek. The hotel is small, quite cozy, the rooms are small, however, we came to the Czech Republic not to sit out in hotels! Near the hotel there is a bobsleigh slide, though there was not enough time to ride it! There is a supermarket about 300 meters from the hotel where we stocked up on food for the first day immediately upon arrival. You can get to the center in 20-25 minutes near the hotel there is a bus stop to the Palmovka metro station, and then to the center by metro 5 stops.

In the evening we had a sightseeing tour of Prague. The city is simply amazing, it is not for nothing that it is considered one of the most beautiful capitals in Europe. The Powder Tower, Old Town Square, Charles Bridge is something that you must see for yourself, it is difficult to describe the impression of them in words. As for the language, it is very similar to Ukrainian, but with its own variations. We especially liked the inscription Pozor - attention.

After the tour, we went to the Novomestsky brewery. I ordered a mushroom soup - I have never eaten anything tastier before in my life! The soup bowl is made from bread and can also be eaten. And most importantly BEER!! ! After returning from the Czech Republic, it took a month to get used to the taste of our beer. On the very first evening, our mini group almost got lost in Prague. We were told that we had to get to the hotel from the Palmovka metro station, but there was an exit from this station! We safely got off at Palmovka and stomped to look for our bus to the hotel. Of course, there were none. For about 50 minutes we tried to figure out how to get there, all the passers-by hesitated, 2/3 of which turned out to be the same tourists. They even thought about going to the police ; -) But still they decided to go back and get out from the other side of the station. We left the subway and the bus to the hotel is definitely standing! Breakfast at the hotel is not bad at all. I am addicted to drinking 2 liters of orange juice in the morning!

The next day we had an excursion to Czech Shterenberg. It was such an impression that he disappeared into the real Middle Ages! A stunning castle just like from a picture in a medieval history textbook! Then there was another tour of Prague with a visit to St. Vitus Cathedral. While you get to it, you kind of see it all the time, but when you go out to the cathedral itself, it just freezes in a daze. BEAUTY! Even if there was nothing else in the Czech Republic, it would still be worth going just for him alone!

The next day was planned a trip to Karlovy Vary. Since the evening passed with us very worthily with drinking our cognac in a bar near the hotel, absinthe, Becherovka, of course BEER, the excursion before Karlovy Vary to the brewery in Krusovice was a healing balm. Here I bought gifts for everyone (to the question "What to bring from the Czech Republic? " everyone answered the same way "BEER! ")

In Karlovy Vary, the impression that you are abroad is generally lost! All around you can only hear Russian speech! A very cozy city. After Karlovy Vary, since our group was a youth vanguard, we decided to go to the disco "Karlovy Lazne" in Prague - the largest nightclub in Central Europe. 5 floors! If you are in Prague, go, the entrance costs 120 crowns (about 25 UAH). Music for all tastes! From retro (even Lambada was installed!!! ) to modern electronics.

The next day was dedicated to Prague. We visited the zoo, nice enough. I especially liked how a couple of elderly Italian tourists tried to pet a wolf, who, in shock, tried to hide from them in an aviary!

Opposite the zoo is the beautiful Troy Palace. You can buy a double ticket to visit the zoo and the palace together. So cheaper. True, we went near the palace without a ticket (Russo tourist - the appearance of morale! ): -)

Then, of course, we once again walked along the Charles Bridge, sat on the Old Town Square. Unfortunately for me, the money was running out and only our native hryvnia remained. It was decided to try to exchange them. This venture culminated in the fact that in the course of a long search, I still managed to find, as it seemed to me, an exchanger where they supposedly should have accepted hryvnias. It turned out that this office makes money transfers to Ukraine and NIGERIA! (It's nice that we have someone to compare with! )

On the last day we arrived in Kutná Hora, the capital of Moravia. The city is included as a world historical heritage under the protection of UNESCO. A very pretty city left behind pleasant memories. Many thanks to our guide Monika for interesting stories and Czech lessons!

And now we are returning home. On the way back at all borders they kept no more than 30-40 minutes and already at 12 noon we arrived in Kyiv. Thus ended my first trip to the Czech Republic, but I know for sure that I will visit this country more than once!
