We were in Prague for the May holidays in May 2017.
I chose the hotel for a long time based on reviews and convenience, but unfortunately the hotel disappointed. Despite this, our trip to Prague was wonderful!
I timed this trip for the birthday of a loved one.
TOUR OPERATOR AND FLIGHT.
Met us Amigo-S
We flew to Pardubice (not Prague) with RedWings, despite the bad rating of the airline (we even wanted to change tickets), we were pleasantly surprised by a good plane and lunch on board.
We drove to the hotel - about 2 hours.
But they flew back from Prague airport (which was very pleasing) on Czech Airlines, but unfortunately, lunch was not included in the price.
The hotel has 33 rooms, 4 floors
Pros:
- Friendly staff at the reception. Always ready to help, printed the bus schedule, always helped when there were questions.
- Fresh renovation
- Summer terrace where you can dine
- There are many small bars along the street
- Relatively close to the main railway and bus station Florenc (several stops)
- Opposite there is a Billa grocery store
Minuses
1) MAIN - NON-STANDARD ROOMS.
Yes, I saw the photos of the rooms and knew that the rooms were small and narrow, but what I saw in reality disappointed us very much. The room was very uncomfortable.
I must say right away that the hotel also has good rooms, I saw them in the photo, they are also small, but with a separate large bed and windows to the courtyard. But it is not a fact that you will be settled there, so be sure to check and choose "superior room").
The "standard room" has 3 beds, 2 combined in front of the window and 1 against the wall. At the head of the combined beds there is a table, on the corner of which a couple of times at night they hit their heads. The TV hangs in the middle of the room, it is inconvenient to watch it lying down because all 3 beds are located sideways to it)
2) BATHROOM. Very little. Shower cabin + bathroom, no shelves next to the sink to put cosmetics, it's very inconvenient. There is a hair dryer but no outlets.
I had to go out of the room into the corridor to style my hair.
In the shower there is 1 universal bottle - shampoo, also known as shower gel. Slippers, bathrobes are missing.
3) WI-FI. On the 3rd floor there was often a weak signal. Video often fails to load. Only early in the morning the internet worked better.
4) CLEANING THE ROOM. In addition to the fact that they made the bed daily and changed towels 1 time in 7 days, they didn’t see anything) We weren’t at the hotel for 2 days (we went to Pilsen) returned - the glasses were dirty and are on the table, a full trash can. Last day I even had to ask for toilet paper.
5) BREAKFASTS. Monotonous and meager for all 7 days. There is something to compare. I put a solid minus. Lunch and dinner at the cafe.
6) LOCATION. More negative than positive. To the center on foot - 25-30 minutes. But walking every day is boring. The path is not very picturesque, and in the evening it is even creepy to return.
I recommend walking to the center through the underpass, we noticed it on the last day of our stay. Shorten your path.
The nearest stop is 5-7 minutes. A ticket can be bought at the Jabka store, the most popular for 30 minutes, or for 1 day (for all types of public transport)
There is no metro near the hotel. Trams do not run here, only a few buses. From the center it was inconvenient for us
about getting to the hotel.
7) At home, they discovered that they had accidentally taken the card from the room with them. When leaving, the guy at the reception forgot to pick it up from us, as is usually the case. A few days later, our tour manager contacted us and said that the hotel required to pay a fine for the card. As a result, we had to send it by mail at OUR expense, although we believe this was the mistake of the employee who took our number.
In general, the management of the hotel seemed to us not quite adequate in this situation.
CONCLUSION.
In this price category, you can choose a hotel with a better location and more comfortable rooms.
The hotel is suitable for a short stay, not for a full holiday.
We will definitely return to Prague again, but to a different hotel.
