At the RESIDENCE ARGOSY hotel we rested with friends at the end of June 2008. Before the trip, I almost did not find reviews about this hotel, but those that I read were very good and in the end I was not disappointed at all, but on the contrary. Before the trip, I was afraid that the photos of the hotel and rooms on the Internet might not match reality. But in fact, everything turned out better. Wonderful hotel, small and cozy, renovated in 2007! The furniture is simple but in excellent condition. There are 12 rooms in total, and they all consist of several rooms. The hotel is decorated in orange and red colors, which creates a cozy atmosphere. In the room there is always water on the table in the kettle, and next to it there is tea, coffee, glasses, mugs. On the 4th floor, room 11 even has a balcony. Cleaned up every day. Hairdryer in the bathroom with several operating modes - which was a pleasant surprise. Soap, shampoo and shower gel can be used, do not cause irritation and smell pleasant. Largely thanks to the hotel left pleasant memories of Prague. The hotel only has breakfast. But it is just enough to take a little walk and find another cafe for lunch. For breakfast there was a slice of cheese, sausages, ham, fruits, various breads, several types of jams, yogurts, tea, coffee, cocoa, juices - in general, a little bit of everything. Nearby was a toaster where you could toast bread.
The location is very convenient: close to metro, trams and buses. We mainly used the metro: in just a few minutes you can get to the center. Vouchers are valid on time: in 20 minutes you can travel 5 stops on the metro.
The hotel staff is always smiling and ready to help. At the reception, they provided us with maps and explained how we can get to the place we need. I recommend that you carry a business card of the hotel with you - you will not need to explain to taxi drivers where you need to, just show the business card.

I would happily stay there again on my next trip. By the way, very pleasant establishments where you can drink beer and eat delicious food are very close: Grota and Andelka. Both cafes are located in the same building, but from different sides. There, moderate prices and tips are not included in the bill, as they do in many establishments in the center. Unfortunately, we realized this only on the penultimate day of our stay in Prague.
