I want to clarify the situation right away that when buying a ticket a short time before departure, the tour operator had no other accommodation option for us, despite the large number of decent hotels in Prague! That is, we were offered to choose, either this hotel or the refusal of the tour! I initially knew from the reviews and description of the hotel what awaits us and the solution to this problem was already prepared. But, having directly visited this place, I can not help but share my impression! And yes, I am not spoiled by five-star luxury hotels and have rested in different conditions, but even our former Soviet sanatoriums did not cause me such rejection as this European "hotel"! So, this is a hostel, not a "hotel"! Three stars in Europe, these are comfortable hotels without frills and extra bells and whistles, City inn is clearly not one of them!!! ! This is a rooming house for those who have gone over with alcohol and have a desire to fall on a mattress under the roof! To begin with, you will look for the entrance to this wonderful "hotel" and do not be confused by individual marginal personalities scurrying through the streets, and closer to the station, in the building of which the hotel is actually located, you can get acquainted with the local "elite" (gypsies, refugees, well, just local drug addicts and drunks). The attendants at the reception do not speak Russian, however, they don’t pay much attention to you either! Waiting for a check in for 20 minutes and no apology, that's what was waiting for us to start. Wi-Fi is free at the reception, but you can also in the room for decent money for a certain time and the number of gadgets, boiling water is given at the request of the reception. The building of the hotel itself is old and apparently with wooden partitions, which you will feel when you walk along the corridor yourself and the wooden floor will walk under your feet, and also when the neighbors talk and move around their room, you will know about their every step and word . Double-glazed windows are old wooden, respectively, there is no noise and heat insulation. Of course, I can’t say for all the rooms, but those whose windows overlook the street, where cars drive around the clock and the TRAM turns with a ringing, it’s something! At first, you shudder from the sound of the tram, and then you shake from its vibration, in the truest sense of the word! At first, I thought it was a train, but the frequency of shaking and the corresponding sounds made me aware of the tram, and in Prague, they run around the clock and very often! Given the lack of a ventilation system, in the warm season, the feeling that you are sleeping on the street will give your stay in this hotel a special romance! The hotel corridors are dirty, the walls are shabby, the carpet is full of holes. The rooms do not differ from the description of the corridor, the same walls, siphoning windows, a tattered carpet, a TV the size of a standard laptop screen (I didn’t even check the presence of Russian channels), the furniture is probably from the 90s. It was scary to sit on the bed even in clothes, sticking out dirty mattresses, white linen, it was probably, but it was gray there and I didn’t understand whether it was black skewers all over the bed, or bedbugs characteristic of such places! Bath, corresponds to the room , everything is dirty, there is mold and water drips on the walls, mirrors in places with black spots at face level, a tiny sink and a toilet bowl that terribly resembles a public toilet! The complete absence of bathroom amenities and, of course, a hairdryer! When asked to be moved to another room, I was offered a room under the roof on the 4th floor (the elevator is only up to 3). The room is smaller, the general situation is the same, but the presence of windows in the ceiling, which actually does not solve the problem with noise, but the roof warms up in the summer with a bang, a table with a chair pushed under the slope of the ceiling, which is simply not possible to sit down, and most importantly, this is apparently a bonus)))) meter-long bathroom with a mixer on the wall in front of the entrance! Yes, you can actually wash yourself while sitting on the toilet, because there is no other place there)))) Plus, which many people write about, is the location, but believe me, it’s not worth it, general conditions, noisy place, marginal people, especially in the evenings can be compared with a clean comfortable three-star hotel, but a little further from the center, well, or if you want a completely economical option, look for a good hostel! I recommend avoiding the City inn *** spruce in Prague.
