They lived in Hotel Palá c (https:// www. hotelpalac. cz /). The hotel is beautiful, I recommend. Great location. On the one hand, already in the historical part of the city, on the other near two tram stops, up to 10 minutes by tram to the train station, a little more to the bus station. Five nights for two with breakfast cost 315 euros.
The room has a full kitchen area, with a full set of utensils, including pans and detergents, if desired, you can cook yourself. Very good sound insulation.
There are rooms overlooking the Cathedral of St. Wenceslas, but I understand that there are more expensive numbers. Ours went outside with trams. There was no special noise. Near the house opposite, just at the level of our floor, movies, spotlights, cameras in the apartment and on the towers from the street were filmed for several evenings.
We ate mostly in Svatová clavský pivovar (https:// svatovaclavsky-pivovar. cz /), he was next to us, delicious beer and food. For those who want a beer spa in them.
We were still in Potrefena Husa near Horní ná mestí , had a great lunch. Unexpectedly for me, beer was not only Staroprapen.
Once we had dinner at Minipivovar Riegrovka (https:// www. riegrovka. eu /). It is divided into two parts. On the ground floor is a nice brewery restaurant. There was a discount on our card.
With the program in Olomouc, everything was simple and difficult at the same time.
There are many different objects worth visiting in the city. The city has a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Holy Trinity Column. But, the weather forecast promised us the first two days in Olomouc rain, and from quite strong on the first day to very strong on the second day. It was hoped that the short-term forecast would change. The next day we had a plan to leave Olomouc in the morning and the zoo in the afternoon. Therefore, on the second day there was a plan B - Olomouc, museums, shopping, etc. , the main thing near the tram stops and under the roof.
We arrived in Olomouc at 5.30 am. The station's website promised us the opportunity to buy Olomouc region Card around the clock at the station, but it turned out to be not so simple. That's why the rides were bought. We went to the hotel to leave things. The hotel bought Olomouc region Card. And we went for a walk around the city, waking up until it rained.
First climbed to the Cathedral of St.
It was still very early, but the cathedral was already open and they were preparing for the service. They went in and looked, they wanted to come back one day, but they didn't come back.
Next to the cathedral is the Archbishop's Museum (website www. muo. cz), where they also did not return.
Then we walked to the center to Horní ná mestí , where the Column of the Holy Trinity and the Olomouc Chimes are located. It turned out that the chimes are under restoration, many cathedrals too. In general, if I find myself in Olomouc again, there is something to see. Went to Dolní ná mestí . Most of the attractions are located in these squares, but until you get there, there is also something to see.
And then it started to rain and it was about 10 am, we went to hide from the rain in the museum. They were in the Archbishop's Palace and the Museum of Modern Art.
Archbishop's Palace (http:// www. arcibiskupskypalac. cz / en /) - very modest compared to the similar one in Krimrzy. But for a general idea in the presence of hours and bad weather you can go. If you are not a fan of museums, and you are going to Krimrzy, you can skip. Works on Mondays.
Then we went to the Museum of Contemporary Art (https:// www. muo. cz /), the rain was already heavy, this museum was closer than the Archbishop's Museum. If you love modern art, you must like it. Many exhibitions in different genres. You can go up to the glass tower on the roof and look at Olomouc.
And then it was 14.00 and you could return to the hotel for settlement. A little rest. The rain had just ended, and we continued our walk through the already familiar streets and squares and descended to one part of the Botanical Garden. You should not expect anything spectacular from the Botanical Garden, just a park.
Then we spent another day in Olomouc.
It was Monday, we decided to rest, although the plans for the day were grand. But brunch, lazy walks and shopping won out.

There will be a festival for theatergoers here, but I understand that any festival is a problem with housing and prices.
In general, I liked Olomouc. A good idea for a weekend trip, especially if you live near the border.
