Karlovy Varyis a Czech city that needs no introduction : )).
The city of sedateness and regularity. When you were brought here suddenly, unexpectedly, like, when you didn’t really need it, not immediately, but rather quickly, the realization comes that STOP,
you need to stop, breathe in and breathe out and... go...
slowly, lazily looking around.
Unwittingly so imitating the walking rhythm of others.
Well, well, well, something is missing in the frame. Of course,
an obligatory accessory is a sippy bowl — but how could it be without it, not in Karlovy Vary : ))).
It's understandable that you need to consult a doctor, etc. , but you need to try. You look, and it will be useful after the Prague libations : ))
We visited Karlovy Vary twice already - when we flew in from Moscow, and flew out a few days later from there. And the main point of our destination was the beautiful Prague
Husband's anniversary was planned. And we urgently needed to drink this case in Prague. Well, my husband's old dream is to have a good beer in Prague : )).
In general, nothing is a pity for fulfilling the dreams of a loved one, especially my Lisbon dream was realized. But since
the budget has been common for decades, and both of us are terrible stingers meanies, then I would like to realize this idea as cheaply as possible. No matter how they scolded AK Pobeda, but we like it : )). The cost of the flight Moscow - Karlovy Vary - Moscow turned out to be 2 times lower for us than directly to Prague, and even taking into account the cost of the bus fare from Prague. Air tickets were purchased two months before the trip.
Some practical information
Perhaps it is no longer relevant today, since these maneuvers took place in October 2018. But for beginners, the general principle of operation may be of interest.
From the airport Karlovy Vary to the city itself, bus number 8 goes to the final stop (Tr? nice) - this is the city bus station.

T. j. our plane is scheduled to arrive in Karlovy Vary at 15.25,
and we were without luggage, then theoretically we should have been in time for 16.07. In the end, it did. The strangest thing was that there were five people on the bus besides us. Where did everyone go? Or all by taxi? Passport control was slow (the fingertip did not work), but before us, many have already passed.
You can pay for the bus fare with a bank card, which is convenient in the absence of local money. The driver himself punched us a ticket for 20 crowns, which corresponds to a 20-minute trip (although you may not meet this time). And when they returned back a few days later, at the kiosk at the Tr stop? nice they sold us tickets for 25 kroons, they say, 20 have already ended. I believe! Those wishing to get on the Pobeda flight at 16.05 was a full bus, even overcrowded. No, it's not like that... it's a packed mixture of people and suitcases, except that there was no one on the roof of the bus, it's just impossible, otherwise they would have sat there too : )).
In advance, we bought tickets to Prague for the StudentAgency bus at their website at 18.00 for 6.4 euros . According to the schedule at 20.15 should be in Prague at the bus station Florence. So we still had time to snack and look around. Since they were still a little afraid, they first exchanged a thousand rubles for crowns. The Jews squeezed held back : ))

Buses are comfortable. Wi-Fi was declared, but there was an icon on the phone, but nothing worked : )). Offered tea coffee, headphones (hearing).
There is a monitor on the seat in front, it seems like you can watch something, play... we poked around, nothing happened, and we didn’t really need it.
Arrived in Prague right on schedule. In Prague, we chose a hotel with good transport accessibility - Hotel La Fenice 3* (detailed review here).
Back from Prague to Karlovy Vary we did not buy tickets in advance. We didn't have any time limits.
Therefore, we took tickets at the Florence bus station for the next flight (something around 13.00–14.00) Flixbus, which cost us, I don’t remember, 180-190 kroons for two, taking into account the box office fee of 10 kroons. In recalculation, it is much cheaper than at StudentAgency. Yes, there was no tea coffee, mythical Wi-Fi,
but it was very comfortable: several passengers on a huge double-decker bus.

We sat on the second floor in the first row and enjoyed the magnificent view on the way with the greatest pleasure.
Since our path lay through Karlovy Vary, it was impossible to just pass by just like that, it was decided to dedicate one day to this gingerbread town.
We stayed at the Kavalerie 3* hotel, which is very suitable for a transit option - an excellent strategic location and wonderful breakfasts, more details about it here. But for a long stay, it is probably better to choose a more comfortable option.
We already have a tradition to try to climb somewhere higher to see everything further away. Or rather, it's me dragging my partner to conquer towers and heights, and he is so sluggish, but resists : )). since I chose a quite digestible height - the Diana Tower, which can be reached by funicular, and in the tower itself there is also an elevator, so you can get off with a little blood : )). www. tourister. en/go? url=https://dianakv. cz/ru/funikuler-obzornaya-bashnya-diana-karlovy-vary" target="_blank">here. Entrance to the tower itself is free. To get to the lower funicular station, navigate to Grandhotel Pupp, narrow passageway to its right.
We arrived in the city in the afternoon.
And while we settled in, while looking around, we came to the last run of the funicular. And then - whoops - the cashier refused to sell us a ticket!
We were somewhat surprised by this kindness. But then, of course, we understood each other: it was already getting dark, we wouldn’t have time for the return flight, and it’s not good to go through the dark forest, you can go - no problem, but better come tomorrow. Okay, not fate). My husband, of course, sneered at me about this, they say, how is it, yes without a turret , hee-hee-hee… And we went for a walk back towards overnight accommodation.

Somewhere upstairs I spotted some kind of tower or a tricky roof, I don’t even know what to call it. Yep, maps. promises me viewing platforms in that area... Well, you understand, our path ran somewhere there, I don’t know where: along goat paths past the Church of St. Mary Magdalene,
then to the left past the Jean De Carro Hotel, in the backyard of the Villa Rosa Hotel. . . By the way,
