Walk around Brno
Returning home from hospitable Italy, we stopped in the second largest city in the Czech Republic - Brno. Having a rich history, the city has preserved many architectural monuments, the main of which are Spielberg Castle and the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul. In addition, the historical center of the city has retained its zest in the form of an interweaving of stone-paved streets and squares. The city is conducive to a leisurely walk.
When we drove into Brno, it was already dark outside. In the center, on a hill, stood the Cathedral, spectacularly accentuated by light. Leaving the car at the entrance to the booked eFi Hotel, we went to the reception and after 5 minutes my family took the elevator to the room, and in the meantime I parked the car in a closed guarded parking lot.
We booked a 2-room suite with a kitchen. WiFi and breakfast included in the price. The hotel also has its own outdoor pool, but it was closed for renovations at the time of our stay.
The morning began with breakfast at the Stara Tralcovna restaurant, in the basement of the building. Cozy interior with many old photographs and attributes of the former garment factory that was once located here.
Armed with a camera, we moved to the historical part of the city. Our path lay through Freedom Square, founded in the 13th century, free from car traffic.
On Freedom Square
Past the old city hall and the market square. Here, a few merchants offer their agricultural products.

Next we went to the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul.
However, up close, he did not make the same spectacular impression as last night. This is due to the peculiarity of its location surrounded by buildings. Therefore, it is not possible to fully appreciate its grandiosity. Nevertheless, it is very beautiful, and the interiors are striking in their beauty. From the foot of the Cathedral opens a panoramic view of the entire city.
There are a lot of places in Brno where you can have a delicious meal and spend time with a glass of fresh beer. For lunch, we chose Vitopna, which has a miniature railway in its interior.
Here, all drinks are delivered to visitors through an extensive network of paths, tunnels and bridges in wagons.
The children were especially interested in seeing how it all works.

After lunch we took a walk, went shopping and returned to the hotel in the late afternoon.
