My two children, 8 and 10 years old, and I arrived at the Papantonia Hotel well after midnight on 06/01/2017. At the reception, we were met by the administrator, a man who, despite the late time, greeted us very cordially and asked about fatigue. He suggested thinking about a hotel across the street opposite, where we would be given a free lunch and free access to the water park until the end of our vacation, and also gave us one ticket for one free lunch (because we didn’t have time for dinner; in general, my ticket was paid for breakfasts and dinners) and in order not to delay us anymore, he gave us the key to room number 119 and offered to take a break from the road. All other formalities he proposed to complete in the morning. True, I dragged the heaviest suitcase to the room myself. We went into the room and I was delighted: the room is clean, one room, but spacious. Bathroom combined, very spacious, shower. The downside is that the shower does not have a door and the water pours a little on the floor. The sink in the bathroom is built into a porcelain stoneware table (that's what I call it; I don't know what it's called correctly). Kitchen set, table, refrigerator, two single beds connected together, single bed against the other wall, coffee table. Everything is neat. Since I needed to charge my phone, I paid attention to the sockets. They are completely different from ours. Needed an adapter. At the reception I took it for 10 euros, but upon departure for the return of the adapter, they returned my 10 euros to me. Later, while shopping in Protaras, these adapters, or as they are called in Cyprus, adapters were sold from 1.5-2.5 euros (depending on the distance of the store from the hotels). It was quiet like heaven. In the morning I got up thinking about free lunches at the proposed hotel and decided to check: what if it’s very bad there and they lure you there with free lunches. I walked around the hotel. The proposed hotel was called Anastasia apartments 4 stars, and after it Anastasia 4 stars - together with Papantonia, this is one network (as far as I understand). I asked people from this hotel reviews about the rest in this hotel. Feedback from people was good and I agreed. And I assure you that I have not regretted a single gram. We had breakfast and later had lunch on a free ticket. I want to say right away the food is very decent: meat, fruits, and vegetables. Drinks for breakfast are free, and for lunch all drinks are paid. We bought two 500 gram bottles of water for 2 euros. Water in stores is cheaper, the price policy of water in Cyprus is also different, ranging from 0.70 to 5 euros (depending on the volume and manufacturer). We then bought 10 liters of water for 3.85 euros and brought it to the room and poured it into small bottles of 500 ml. This was the end of our stay at the Papantonia Hotel. I will write more about the sea: since my trip was aimed at the safe and good pastime of children by the sea, then entering the sea was very important for me. All beaches in Cyprus are state-owned, so if you want a sunbed, then pay for it. Honestly, I didn't ask how much. I was perfectly located on a towel, and the children splashed and frolicked in the sea. The sea is close, there are several bays near these hotels. To the left are three coves. The most extreme is called the main beach, go about 7-10 minutes. There is sand, fine, beauty. On the middle beach there are pebbles with sand, and on the nearest beach there are sand and stones and rocks, but swimming is also not bad. All three beaches are shallow, which is good enough for children to swim. The remoteness of the beaches from the hotels is 5-10 minutes, between the beaches the distance is 3-6 minutes. I go directly to the Anastasia Hotel Apartments in Protaras. At 12 noon, we vacated the room in Papantonia, left the suitcase downstairs and had lunch on a free ticket in Papantonia. Then, at about 2 pm, I took my suitcase and the children and we went to the hotel opposite Anastasia Apartments (there is no sign on the hotel, but the old Tsokos is hanging). Therefore, to be honest, I don’t know how many stars this hotel has. We were settled in room 5208. This is on the second floor; the first floor in Cyprus is considered as 0 floor. I carried the suitcase myself. In general, as I understand it, men are not provided for carrying suitcases in Cyprus, unlike Turkey. We went into the room and I gasped: everything was so good; the bed is clean, made, the curtains are neatly drawn, everything is clean in the bathroom. The room consists of two rooms. First room with balcony. It contains a sofa or a folding bed, a snow-white table with four snow-white chairs, a brown suite (as in the photos for the hotel), a kettle, a microwave oven, a toaster, dishes, a sink, a refrigerator, a built-in two-burner stove, a snow-white coffee table, two snow-white chairs , LCD TV with remote control. There is a draft above the stove. Second room: two single beds connected together, a table with a mirror, a chair, two bedside drawers, a telephone, a wardrobe with hangers, spare blankets and a spare pillow. There is air conditioning in both rooms, but I rarely turned it on because of the fear of catching a cold and not for long. Works only when the balcony and window are closed. Combined bathroom: full bath, toilet; the sink, as in Papantonia, is built into a porcelain stoneware table and a huge mirror. Immediately noticed that there is no soap! ! For me, this is not acceptable, since I have children with me! There were two tubes of shower gel and shampoo, bath towels, foot and hand towels. The room in general is very good. really liked it. The view from the balcony was of the Papantonia hotel and a supermarket and restaurants in front of it. Heart rejoiced and we went to dinner in the evening. About the restaurant you need to write separately. Everything is so good that there is nothing to complain about. It can be seen behind the restaurant looks very good employee. All five balls and food and restaurant!!! ! Breakfast from 7-10 o'clock. For breakfast, and yogurts, and vegetables, and bacon, and much more. The food is very varied, for all tastes. For breakfast, all drinks are free: vending machines with juices and water, coffee, hot chocolate, milk. Lunch from 12.30-2pm. Drinks for lunch and dinner are chargeable. If you are sitting in the restaurant hall, then the water is free, the waitress comes up to you, you order and she writes down what you will drink; then they bring it. For some reason, water is paid on the veranda at dinner. Then we always sat in the restaurant hall so that the water was free. Meals at dinner are also without question: watermelons, melons, apples, peaches, oranges, bananas, apricots, ice cream, meat of different varieties and different preparations, cakes, shrimp in a salad. Dinner from 18.30-22.00. The same without question, everything is great. There is a dress code for dinner. The chief seats the incoming at the tables according to the presence of people in the company. I think it is right that there are no empty seats in the restaurant and everyone has dinner and there is no crowd. It should be noted that there is nothing like in Turkey: you came later and you didn’t get anything. Everything is always in abundance there, they end up adding something. See that there is no lack of food. Meals for dinner are also varied, but even, it seems to me, more varied than for lunch. There is a lot of meat, as much ice cream as you want, fruits, vegetables, desserts, etc. Minus: paid drinks, except water. I repeat the food for all 5 points !! ! Dinner, went to bed. The kids fell asleep and I fell asleep. I woke up at 12 from music, singing. I looked, and the restaurants in front of the hotel were in full swing. People rest, drink, and sing, and dance. Everyone is having fun, except me. For three nights I was so tormented, and then I went to the reception desk and asked to change the room to the other side. At the reception, the woman does not speak Russian, therefore, in order to explain, I had to strain and remember English from the school curriculum and the university. Tip: take an English-Russian dictionary just in case. In general, there are a lot of English people in Cyprus. . !! ! The hotel is not located in Protaras itself, but in the adjacent village. There are few shops, few blooming nature, and no animation for children. Well, that seems to be all, I wanted to describe in great detail the hotel and the territory adjacent to it with services. Have a good rest, friends!! !
