You fly back in the afternoon, you have time to wake up before you go to work and return to real life. Upon arrival, everything is fast - luggage, meeting, bus. It's less than an hour away. Hotel. For its category, a very worthy option. I expected sooner. It's nice. The territory is not very big, everything is compact. But right in the center of the resort, you went out - and you are already in the thick of things, there are a lot of shops and cafes nearby. The people are walking. Life, party. They made a promenade every evening. Number. Just great. Everything, if not new, is in excellent condition. No complaints at all. Cleaned up, towels changed. And even without a tip. Nutrition. Breakfasts are more than ordinary. As an everywhere. Dinners were interesting, every evening new, varied, delicious. But now in the evening drinks are paid. We missed it a couple of times - I wanted to try the local cuisine. And it was hard for lunch. . The restaurant took their popular meze - it's terrible how much food! We barely ate, and even left. Delicious, but too much. It's worth a try! Unless, of course, you don't mind returning home with a couple of extra pounds. Sea. Chic. Just great. Protaras is the best resort. New, modern, here are the best beaches. We saw others - gray, a nightmare, as if it were a completely different country. I don't care if I own sand in Protaras or imported. The beach is excellent. Entry into the water - too. The sea is warmer. Didn't get out of the water! Weather. I confess it was hard. Hot and humid. The mirrors in the room, if you turn off the air conditioning, fogged up in a minute. The day was especially hard. We thought of a way out - we slept. In the evening we swam again, then after dinner we walked. All in all. August is probably not the best time. Especially for hearts. Well, whoever loves the heat - so, on the contrary, welcome! Entertainment. This was not our goal. But, of course, how not to see the island where you are for the first time? We didn’t take excursions - we just love to travel on our own. You won't get far from Protaras. We visited neighboring Ayia Napa, drove to Larnaca. They shopped there - this is a problem in Protaras, you have to go somewhere. Considering that discounts were already in full swing in August, this was a relevant moment. In Larnaca, many decent shoe stores, a huge children's super and Debenhams were found. All in all, a great shopping experience! In Protaras itself, I also recommend watching the fountain show. Very pretty and inexpensive. For such pleasure. Movement. We rented a car for 3 days. My husband took it, or rather, I did not dare to drive with a different steering wheel and left-hand traffic. Although it’s easy to drive, we didn’t see traffic jams, dear ones are excellent, signs are in English everywhere. In general, riding on your own is a pleasure. The car, however, was looking for a long time - August. All budget options have been dismantled. I had to take more expensive, and the minimum was 3 days. Cyprus as a whole. Made a very good impression. Although, of course, we did not see half of it. Maybe next time we will go to the other end of the island - to Paphos. It is warm, sunny, bright, people are friendly and hospitable. It seems that the standard of living is high. It's nice that no one digs. I won’t say that Europe is right here, but not Arabs and not Turks - and that’s already good. Maybe someone likes their obsessive mentality, I don't. Everything is here for tourists. There are no problems with the Russian language, there are plenty of Russians, inscriptions and menus are everywhere in Russian.
