Blinds are stuck halfway down. The kitchen windows overlook the air duct, the dishes are sticky and vile. Everywhere is darkness, dirt, dust lumps, cockroaches and desolation. The staff frankly sneezes on all your complaints. We left this miserable place at dawn. The hotel cannot be recommended even to enemies. Space price for such conditions. Not a single photo on the hotel page can be trusted, all the rave reviews are written by employees and their relatives. A dozen with the highest score is immediately poured onto one truthful one. Be careful - do not try to pay for accommodation until you see the room with your own eyes !! !

We decided not to leave it like that, went to the reception to ask to change to another room. We thought, you never know, we were the only ones so unlucky. They said they couldn't help. Upset. But still, the girl decided not to leave us in trouble and offered an alternative. True, at that time it seemed strange to us. She offered to check into a hotel, as she said, her sisters. Nearby, 5 minutes by car towards Coral Bay, 4 * new hotel on the seashore. Showed a photo on Booking. com.
We didn’t believe at first, the hotel is new in 2017, can you imagine they offer to change 2* to 4*))
We were provided with a free taxi and even dinners were added for the entire period of rest (breakfasts were included) Did it look like some kind of not clean scheme??? ? worried that they would not take us somewhere. Managed to get in touch with the hotel guide, find out at least if it is possible to do so. Goodbye....

It’s hard to imagine the best place to stay in Cyprus (I’m talking about the Marica Boutiqe Hotel) Despite our “young”, as my mother says, age of 23, my boyfriend and I really liked it there. We went to Paphos specifically for a relaxing holiday. And ended up in paradise for lovers))) one continuous romance. Hotel by the sea. One view from the window is worth something - the sea on the left, the mountains on the right. Banana plantation nearby. And not a soul. A quiet haven for relaxation of body and soul??? ? At 300 meters Sea You Beach Bar is a local restaurant with live music on weekends, right on the seashore. Here you can buy and eat.
Own beach with a minimum number of sunbeds. You will not find locals here, there are practically no ours either, the British and visitors. So soulful. Spent the last day of summer here. It was magical.
Around: 150 meters from the hotel - Bayside kiosk, a restaurant directly across the road from the hotel (Sonny's seems to have never been visited) and banana plantations around. Buses run regularly, we did not have to try. 10 minutes one way and you are on Coral Bay, 10 minutes the other way and you are in the center of Paphos. Anyone interested can go.
Rent a Car.
The first time we rented a car abroad. We decided to play it safe and took from trusted guys - SIXT. Overpaid of course times in two, if not more. It was possible to take from the locals for 25-35 € + insurance (from 9 € / day, depending on the class of the car)
We decided to travel in comfort, plus, given the left-hand traffic, the automatic handle was important) we chose the VW Golf. The guys have new cars, no more than 2 years old.
There was no golf, they brought a brand new Skoda Rapid from the salon. The guy really liked it. 15 minutes of talking and get used to the left-hand traffic, the steering wheel is on the right??? ? We took a map and went to explore Cyprus. We traveled all over the coast. We looked at the birthplace of Aphrodite, saw the salt lake on the map in Limassol, stopped by, took pictures, drove on??? ? we stopped at the local fish village Zygi (Zygi), ate Meze (assorted fish) there in a restaurant on the pier (25 € / person turned out) we heard it was possible and cheaper to find. Then, along the local road, we returned to the Governor's Beach (his guide advised us), a cool place with unusual white rocks and black sand. There is only one such place in all of Cyprus, they say. It's worth dropping by. We returned to the track - and in a straight line to Ayia Napa. Booked a hotel on the same Booking (37 € / night) in the center not far from the Hard Rock Cafe. A friend from Larnaca arrived in the evening. We went to a couple of clubs, she knows better where the local is more fun????

In the morning we visited Nissi Beach (beautiful photos can also be taken for relaxing with children, it’s good - small, but I wouldn’t stop there - there are a lot of people) and went to Larnaca to the same friend. We had lunch at Ocean Basket (experienced people advised us on the tour, you won’t regret it. Here you can try the same Meze, not as expensive as in Zygi, but the atmosphere is different. I liked everything very much)
On the way back we stopped at a salt lake in Larnaca (photos ??????????? ? especially at sunset), and opposite the interesting Mackenzie beach ??? ? planes are flying over it. That's another spectacle)) here we have such a trip with a loved one turned out. Now the dream is to travel around all the small islands and countries like that.
Regarding excursions: we went on only one, Jeep Safari, through the reserve, through the mountains and villages, with a stop at the turtle beach and the blue lagoon on a boat.
Take masks and snorkels, the fish swim right up close here - you can catch it with your hand) and GO Pro, the pictures will be amazing ????
