The sea is nearby, but you can enter it only on an equipped beach. There are sun loungers of a foreign hotel on the beach, but there were few people, the sun loungers were often empty, which we used (no one drove us even once), but you can sit on the sand on a towel.
There were waves all the days, and in the bay there was calm, where even very small children swam. For thrills, you can walk for about 15 minutes and get to the city sandy beach with waves (sunbeds and umbrellas are paid, each for 2.5 euros). A good sandy entry into the sea, and only after 30 meters the depth is up to the throat, and sand is everywhere under your feet, so you can jump on the waves.
In some hotels there are no bays like it was near ours, so people swam in the pools! And it’s very good that you don’t have to cross the road from the hotel (quite a problem, especially considering that the left-hand traffic is quite busy). Car rental at every turn. There are also enough minimarkets, but the prices are certainly not for the Russians (bread 2.5 euros, cottage cheese 250g-4 euros, juice 1l-1.6 euros). It is better to look at souvenirs in Paphos at the port (by bus from the hotel 20 minutes to the final one, the ticket is 1.5 euros), oddly enough you can find very inexpensive ones (cheaper than near the hotel). Don't take the glass bottom boat tour (small) in the port. There is nothing to see at the bottom, it shakes a lot, and the promised sunken ships are two or three fragments - pieces of iron, if you have time to look. Excursions from the tour operator are expensive (and the guide is not always interesting), and they are also brought to different stores, where they give more time than the most interesting sights, but after leaving the hotel and going to the right along the houses, you can find a tour company with a Russian-speaking girl who will offer excursions with a Russian guide cheaper.
In general, we liked EVERYTHING for our money. There wasn't much to do, but it was enough for us! The staff is friendly, everyone speaks a little bit of Russian. The hotel was 85% Russian, but it was very quiet and calm (in neighboring hotels, the British bawled songs until late). I advise everyone.
Good animation, a very rich daily entertainment program, but the truth is that the tourists themselves are kind of lazy and rarely even agree to play volleyball and have fun.
And so, in general, everything is cool!! )
Room tip: If you are traveling with young children, it is better to take rooms not near the pool. Music and screams will interfere with rest.
if you are flying on a morning flight (departure from Kyiv at 5:30 am), then at 9:30 you will be at the hotel. The tour operator told us that we would be able to have breakfast at the hotel and if there were free rooms, they would immediately check you in... hours and you are only supposed to have dinner. With the HB food system (breakfast, dinner), be prepared for the fact that for dinner all drinks (even water, tea and coffee !!!! ), not to mention alcohol - are PAID !! ! A glass of wine 150 g - 3.25 euros. . .
There is no beach in this hotel. We, hanging around the hotel for about 4 hours before checking in, were shocked to see a rocky shore instead of a beach. At 300 meters from this hotel there is a beach with a conditionally rocky entrance to the water (slippery and you can get hurt), it is free, but its 15 by 5 meters in area, there are a lot of people, you just can’t miss each other in the water, all tourists from neighboring hotels converge there. . . We went to the NAMOS city beach, a one-way bus ride - 1.5 euros, the cost of the beach - a sunbed - 2.5 euros, an umbrella - 2.5 euros. One joy - there is free Wi-Fi.
Yes, the food in the restaurant is poor, all kinds of meat in one dish, a couple of cereals, potatoes and rice. We were not hungry, but there are no food stalls (for those who are used to it, as in Turkey and Egypt). Fruits are given no more than two types, fish once every two days.
Studio rooms - you have a kitchen, there is a stove, oven, refrigerator, kettle, dishes... Why is it on vacation - I didn’t understand... The rooms are not new, but clean. Of the toiletries, only small soaps are given out.
Excursions in the hotel are exactly twice as expensive as in the travel agency itself. It is at the final station of bus number 615 in Paphos. There are excursions for 20-30 euros, with insurance, they pick you up at the hotel, they also bring you back.
Yes, and that breakfast that you are not given on the first day, on the day of departure, if you leave early, you will be given in the form of a ham roll and one orange (even without water)...
This is such a hotel! Decide for yourself whether to go there or not.
The hotel did not please us with an early check-in: we arrived at 11, settled at 2. However, they immediately put on bracelets so that we could have lunch at 12. A trifle, but nice.
Dali Studio in building 14. In the room, especially in the bathroom, there is some strange smell, it smells of dampness or something. There is no ventilation in the bathroom itself, after taking a shower you have to open the door so that you have something to breathe. The furniture is "tired", but there is a refrigerator, stove, dishes, appliances. There is no water in the refrigerator. Detergents for dishes - too, the maid does not wash it in principle. At first they gave blue, fairly shabby towels. After 2 days, the maid saw that we did not take towels to the sea, and began to bring new, white ones. Bed linen is clean but a little worn.
There is a safe in the room, but in order to use it, you need to take the key to the reception. Deposit - 10 euros, plus for use - about 1.7 euros per day.
Now for the positive. The service at the hotel is excellent. The manager of the main restaurant, Stavros, is a very open, pleasant person. The waiters are friendly and know their stuff. The food is varied, excellent vegetables, soups, meat. I don't eat salads and pasta, so I can't say anything about them. The choice of fruits is limited: apples, oranges, melons and watermelons. At the bar near the pool during the day they prepare decent snacks, sandwiches, hamburgers, salads. Juicy, crispy bacon was served for breakfast until the main wave of Russians arrived. After that, the bacon was replaced with sausage cut into flats.
The main contingent of vacationers is the British, almost everything is tailored for them. They behave quietly, as a rule, sunbathe by the pool from morning to evening.
You need to go to the sea, 5-7 minutes. the nearest beach is small.
It is considered sandy, but in fact it is a microscopic pebble : ) The entrance is on the rocks, they are a bit slippery. In the middle - a ladder for a normal entry. For several days the sea was stormy, the breakwaters helped, but not really. There are many Slavic brothers, so be mentally prepared for cigarette butts, peach pits and other rubbish, which is difficult to carry 2 meters to the trash can.
A municipal bus runs every 15 minutes to the city. 1.5 euros one way. For 5 euros you can take a travel card for a day, for 15 - for a week. The Archaeological Park and the Tombs of the Kings, the embankment, the port - everything is nearby, some 15 minutes drive.
In general, the trip was not bad. If you do not look for flaws and do not find fault with trifles, the hotel is good, especially in terms of price-quality ratio.
The food. . . Gorgeous. The choice is not huge, but the cuisine is very tasty, homemade, the local wine is generally a feast for the eyes.
Bathing. To the sea of one of the best bays in Paphos 8-10 minutes walk. The sea is salty, do not dive : ) the pool is huge, by the way, there is aqua aerobics.
Motion. In general, it is very important to rent a car and ride, but it’s also a 10-15 minute walk to the bus stop : ) they go very often. No. 615 to one end to the port, and to the other to one of the famous bays. By the way, driving is on the right. Therefore, the bus is better : )
Rooms. Cottage hotel. Each room has a kitchenette with its own plates, forks, spoons, pots, stove, refrigerator. Feel free to go, you won't get hungry there : ) There is a split. Balcony with table and chairs. To the nearest product stores, as to the bus stop, 10-15 minutes. And you need to get to the big and cheap Lidl supermarket by bus....in principle, you can walk, but walk 30-40 minutes in the heat... not the best choice, but chic on the bus. Bathroom, toilet, sink. Water flows normally at any time of the day, and, by the way, is not the same as in Egypt. She is clean and good, clean. Hairdryer, safe, euro adapter for a deposit. those. you leave 5 euros, use it, and then return 5 euros back to you)
Entertainment. Well, I would not advise young people. Go there for a relaxing holiday for body and soul.
In general, you will hardly meet Russians in the hotel.
My rating is 5-, "-" for the fact that the animation is not gorgeous, it is interesting, but for us, Russians, thirsty for an adrenaline rush, it does not pull.
P. S. was very satisfied. Very very.
