I read reviews about this hotel and bought into this lie! I do not recommend going to this hotel to people who spend a lot of money and expect to get a real European vacation at the level of 5 stars. the hotel, according to our impressions with my wife, does not pull on a solid C grade as for Europe, of course. what? if Cyprus sets European prices everywhere, then it must be judged by European standards, to which, alas, Cyprus is like walking to the moon, as it turned out. more about the cons of the hotel: the room is small and dark, the bathroom generally resembles some kind of pantry (very small and dark), the TV is old "tube" and also buggy, plumbing in the bathroom is all green, the toilet is yellow and there is a crack on the sink, the shower was flowing, the attitude of the staff, to put it mildly, is zhlobsky, the food in the restaurant is full out (prices are at the level of an expensive Kiev restaurant and the quality of McDonald's), the beach is very small. all of the above applies to room 519 where my wife and I had the "happiness" to rest in September. more about some of the charms of the hotel: of course, the first impression everyone will agree is the strongest and there was a lot that I didn’t like right away. we go with my wife to the 519 double room and what do we see? we are met by one cup, one glass, one bottle of water and a type of welcome from the hotel (one miserable banana, peach and apple). . . as they say first impression on the level! the light in the hallway was not on and the room, as it turned out, was generally for people with disabilities (all kinds of handrails are everywhere in the bathroom and the bath itself is sedentary and somehow humpbacked). I agree that such numbers are needed and it’s good that there are such, but we didn’t emphasize that we need such a number ! ? at the reception they do not consider it necessary to warn about such nuances. the whole vacation I was worried about my wife, who from the very beginning said that the bathroom was not comfortable and she was afraid to slip in it. having gone to the reception with a desire to change the room, this is what we heard: "there are no rooms, maybe tomorrow they will have a view of the mountains", "we will certainly bring a cup and a glass, but of course you already got fruit for one. "... Well, I just wanted to say, of course, shove your fruit away. a cup and a glass were brought to us the next day in the evening, and after two more reminders of this. Speaking of mountain views. I do not recommend for any money! the mountains are far away, but the road with very busy traffic is very close and every second local horsemen rush about in a sports car without a silencer, then think for yourself. more about the bathroom. she is very dark! lighting is reduced to exactly one lamp above the sink and, accordingly, in the bathroom, which is located on the opposite side with the curtain closed, just twilight. Well, there’s nothing special to write about the greenery of the taps, you just have to see it, the shower hose was full of holes and the floor of the water left without reaching the end, but there was a bidet in the bathroom! also with a green faucet and a completely lurid only place really occupied in this kennel. the TV is not only antediluvian, it’s also buggy, when you turn it off from the remote control, the remote control no longer turns on only with a button, well, these are mere trifles, of course. And finally, about the hotel restaurant and the beach. food for breakfast is just disgusting one potato and beans, after 10 days they couldn’t look at these breakfasts and were glad that at least the rest of the food was not included in the ticket. for lunch on the first day we ordered both tomato soup and my wife fried squid with potatoes. in short, the soup recipe from the Apollonia hotel: you can buy tomato juice for less in a three-liter jar, heat it up, add a little salt and pepper, and serve it to the table in a tiny plate! soup for 4.5 euros is ready!! ! squids generally resembled something from McDonald's with an exorbitant price tag. in general, having dined for the first and last time in the hotel restaurant, we forgot the way there. Beach. very small! going out on the first day at about 11 am, we found that all the sunbeds are occupied!! ! that's how we came to the sea! I had to go and lie by the pool smelling the aromas of bleach. fortunately in the following days we were lucky and there were places on the beach, but only due to the fact that some prefer to lie by the pool, although it is really clear that the beach is clearly not designed for the entire hotel! In general, our assessment of C grade with a minus! more than once in Apollonia we recalled with warm words the holidays in Egypt and the three-star hotel in Prague. In general, Cyprus to Europe is like walking to the moon.
