All active life takes place on the territory of the Oasis (restaurant-bars, large pools with animation, SPA, children's club for Russian-speaking children "Bibliosha", children's disco, evening show and disco for adults). The hotel is very active, there are many guests everywhere, most of them English.
Unlike the active Oasis, in our buildings it is quiet, calm, gracious, if you wish, you can sit in cozy squares opposite the buildings or spend time by a small calm pool with a glass of an excellent cocktail or something else to your taste, including soft drinks and ice cream. By the way, cocktails in this bar are made better than in the bars of the four.
LOCATION. Quite convenient, within walking distance of the sea - no more than 3 minutes (a small bay where you could always find a place both on sunbeds and on the sand) - go to the McDonald's landmark right through the square, which is opposite our reception, turn left, then along the fence of the city playground, where there is a swing, go to the bus stop next to the amusement park, cross the road at the traffic light - the landmark is the white building of the cafe-club and here the club has a beach with a wonderful sandy entrance, a trampoline is installed in the sea - a slide for children, up to depths still need to try to reach! On the beach there is a playground, a foot wash, a shower - for a fee. The beach in the olive grove is about 20-30 minutes on foot or you can take bus number 30, but then we drove about six stops to the juice factory (small bright building) - this beach has changing rooms and foot washes, there are also areas with sun loungers and umbrellas and without them, where they rest on their bedding. Toilets are mainly located at the beginning of the beach, there are posts along the alley, and so the last toilet is in the 6th area, and the area where the most successful entrance to the sea is 10-11. Shower on the beach paid from 20 to 50 cents. A 10-minute walk from the hotel is a METRO store, but the prices in it are sometimes higher than in other shops. It is about 7 km to the old port (read to the old town), walking enthusiasts overcome it in an hour and a half, but it is better to use the bus (1.5 € one trip, 5 € daily pass, 15 € for a week). The most popular route is number 30, the rest are extremely rare!
ROOM. Our room was ready, so as soon as we approached the reception desk at 9 am and showed us our passports, the administrator personally escorted us to the porch of the building and handed us the key to the room. There are three buildings in Gardens (at least on the facades of three buildings I saw this accessory), they all stand close to each other through small paths, opposite the reception building and our small public gardens, a small parking lot and just opposite our building there is a swimming pool with a bar . The porch in the building is high, equipped with a ramp. There are no porters, but it’s not particularly annoying, because. the suitcase rolls very comfortably along all paths and ramps. The room itself pleased me: quite spacious, furniture in bright colors, excellent beds (it is a pity that there is not one large one), plasma, air conditioning, an empty minibar, a safe (2 € per day). The floor in our room was laminate, but there are also tiles. We had a twin - the difference from the studio is that the kitchenette is not equipped with dishes and kitchen appliances, but we did not need this when staying on the ALL system. The bathroom is conveniently equipped with a bathtub with a curtain, a flexible shower, a shelf for small items, a sink with a granite pedestal, there is also where to put something (we took the glasses from the kitchen cabinet), dispensers for liquid soap and gel are attached to the sink and above the bathtub. Fen. Wi-fi in our room (2nd floor, balcony at the end of the building with the reception) was excellent, free, the code is at the reception.
SERVICE. Cleaning is daily, normal (garbage is taken out, the floor is wiped in the center, the bathroom is put in order, 2 rolls of toilet paper are put up, the balcony is also wiped, but the door can be left open on it). Linen is clean, linen and towels are changed every 3 days. The keys to the room and the safe in Gardens are ordinary, the electricity in the room is from the key fob, you need an adapter for our plugs (you can buy it at the reception for 4 € or from 1.8 to 3 in stores, in the Metro we took for 2 with something ). Beach towels are issued at the Oasis reception with a deposit card. Excellent managers work at all receptions, they are always willing to explain everything, help, in Russian. Upon check-in, a memo in Russian is issued with information on all hotel services. You can take a printout of the card from them, but it is better to take a card in stores - it is more convenient.
FOOD. All arranged. Decent choice (meat, fish, seafood, vegetable dishes, soups, cold appetizers, sauces, pastries, pancakes, omelets, grill on the street and in the restaurant, desserts, fruits). There are no queues, self-service tables are well located. More modest breakfast, lunch and dinner are excellent. At breakfast, you can use coolers and vending machines for drinks on your own, at lunch-dinner you are served by waiters (wine only in bottles, of course, you can also order glasses, beer, soft drinks, tea, coffee, packaged juices, water). All-inclusive bottles of water can be taken in a restaurant or in any bar without restriction, as a rule, 1 liter bottles in a restaurant, 0.5-0.33 liters in bars. Strong alcohol only in bars. Ice cream for lunch and dinner, or at any bar. Every time you visit the restaurant, the manager meets the guests, leads them to a free table, passing the waiter for service, the order for drinks and their delivery is very fast, while you call the room number and sign for the order. When serving in bars, according to your order, a check is beaten off, in which you also sign, if you have the ALL system - a “zero” check! Once, in the Mocha bar, they slipped me a check with the amount - it turned out that they “scored” the wrong room number, okay, I didn’t sign it, otherwise the guests of that room would have been waiting for a “surprise” when leaving the hotel.
TOUR OPERATOR. The hotel guide from Biblikov Julia is a very nice girl, she gave all the information perfectly and without imposing. I think that's what bribed me to take a tour from her. We teamed up with another couple and ordered an individual tour of the places that interested us the most (St. Cyprian and St. Justina Church - Kykkos Monastery - Troodos Mountains - wine tasting visiting the owners of a private winery - the birthplace of Aphrodite, or rather to the place , where the goddess Aphrodite emerged from the sea foam on the coast of Cyprus. The cost of the tour is 350 euros (175 per couple), the guide - he is the driver at your disposal for 8 hours.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES. In case of a late check-out, you can pay for a room or leave your suitcases (but not valuables and documents) in a special room in the building, where there is a reception desk, there is also a luggage scale - 1 euro. The weight of one piece for 1 person is 20 kg, if there are more of you, then the suitcase can weigh up to 32 kg - this is for Transaero. Leave the bracelets and continue to use the restaurant and bars until the end of the day. You have the right to use the 30-minute provision of a room in order to take a shower and change clothes - believe me, this time was enough for us! There were no numbers in the “treshka”, we were sent to the 4th. Having taken a shower in the standard room of the Oasis, I was once again convinced of the correct choice of the hotel! Order this service as soon as you return the keys to the room at 12 noon.
