Unexpected surprise. Windsurfing in Cyprus
I must say right away that before this September holiday, my husband and I knew about windsurfing only from pictures and videos on the Internet. I immediately imagined sports guys sailing on the waves... The plot from the film, no more : ))
The chance threw us into the cozy city of Larnaca, where, in addition to the warm sea and palm trees, there is one amazing place - the Vulkan windsurfing station! We discovered it by accident, at first we stopped to look at experienced surfers, then they came up to talk... It was difficult to decide, but the guys persuaded me. As a result, in a few days, my husband and I were still able to subdue this naughty element, at least a little, but. Thank you for our teachers! Not only for patience, because our sincere gatherings in the evenings are remembered with no less joy. And the first feeling when I was able to stand on the board on my own is not forgotten for a long time! Now we recall with laughter our first attempt to stand on the board, from the outside it seemed so simple....But in reality we constantly flopped into the water, and with triple persistence we started all over again.
This isn't just a school where you've been given a few hours of work. . . it's a big family of wind lovers. The vast majority of visitors are Russian-speaking, as are the instructors, special thanks to Maxim, Nastya and everyone who participated in this adventure. And yes, we still shot our own, albeit small, film, where our family is already in the lead role of conquerors of the waves!
Pleasant bonuses: new friends from different parts of the country, a toned tanned figure (girls will understand) and the feeling that you have learned something new, which means that all this was not in vain! ))
I am sure that in the current situation, Cyprus is practically the only place to relax, so our roads with the Vulkan station will cross again this summer! I really hope not to lose my grains of last year's skills before the summer : )
