For some, this remoteness may be a disadvantage, but for us it was a solid plus. The road to the nearest town (Ai-Napa) was about five minutes by regular bus, costing 1 euro one way per person. For 2 euros you can buy a day pass. An alternative is a well-maintained and paved path along the sea. The stroller will go through it easily. Travel time at an average pace is about 40 minutes. If you have time, I would recommend this trail for walking.

The hotel is chamber, accommodation - in small houses (bungalows) with one or two rooms, with one or two bathrooms (respectively, more expensive). The sea of greenery, everything is buried in flowers. In general, the flora of Cyprus is Spartan, apparently due to the lack of water. But where people live - everything is in flowers and greenery.

For me, the most important thing in the hotel was the beach. They say that all the beaches in Cyprus are municipal.
But I didn’t see anyone except the hotel guests on our beach. Both on the shore and in the sea, mostly sand. True, the entrance to the sea is relatively narrow, but since there are few guests, there is enough space for everyone. The location of sun loungers can be conditionally divided into three groups: near the pool (for lovers), near the water (in the sun) and at a small distance among the greenery (respectively, in the shade). There was no shortage of free sunbeds.
I won’t write anything about the pool - traveling thousands of kilometers to lie and splash in the pool is a frank perversion, as for me.
The sea in the beach area is shallow, in order to find the depth, you need to go 50 meters. Well, then the depth in some places is more than 10 m. In general, in the area of Ai-Napa (and indeed Cyprus) the coast is steep, there are not many convenient slopes.
Kermia Beach is a paradise for children of all ages. The sea is shallow, warm, the descent into the sea is sandy. You can splash in shallow water, you can build fortresses out of sand.
You can find another activity from the children's range.
The water in the sea is salty - The Mediterranean Sea is only slightly less salty than the Red Sea, so it is better to have goggles. After a while, the eyes adapt, but still a slight discomfort remains. However, the people managed mostly without glasses.
The population of the underwater world is much inferior to the Red Sea, and even, in part, to the wild places of the Black Sea. Of the relatively large shell-bearing molluscs, I found only gastropods Strombus decorus decorus and Hexaplex (Trunculariopsis) trunculus (although the valves of someone eaten were lying around in places). But these were full. In addition, once I met an octopus, once I saw a starfish of an unknown (to me) nationality, once I saw a small moray eel. The Kermia area is full of sea urchins. However, they need to be looked for specifically; they do not cause problems for swimmers. There are also two types of large marine worms. And, of course, fish - but also not very much.
An attempt to dive in a place wilder than the hotel beach did not lead to the discovery of other fauna. Well, I didn't dive at night. And they say that off the coast of Cyprus you can find 13 species of some cyprae (cypraea).

The food at the hotel is tasty, varied and plentiful, able to satisfy every taste. They are fed according to the "buffet" system. We took a half board package with breakfast and dinner. In my opinion, taking a ticket with three meals a day to this hotel is unnecessary, two times is enough. If you are without a child, then only breakfast will be more preferable, you can have dinner in Ai-Napa - there are a lot of different kinds of restaurants and cafes. It is unlikely that such food will come out more expensive, especially since we (3 adults), which are traditionally not included in the cost of lunch and dinner in hotels, spent more than 100 euros in 9 days. A small glass of juice costs 3 euros, in fact it is the cheapest drink. A glass of wine will cost 3.5 euros, a glass of beer (0.5 l) - 4.5 euros.
For breakfast (drinks are free), you can choose from tea or coffee (with milk) and juices. Juices, it should be noted, are very tasty and, apparently, of high quality.
You can find what to feed a child at the age of 1.9 years in the proposed menu. At the same time, there is no specialized children's food (like milk porridge). Therefore, we were greatly rescued in advance by the fast-cooking cereals and children's canned meat brought in advance. For breakfast, a child can take thick yogurt, an egg in different forms (if the child eats them) and fruits. For dinner - mashed potatoes (not every day) or baked potatoes, rice porridge. Both mashed potatoes and porridge may contain non-sharp spices. Soup is also offered for dinner (for my taste it is very tasty), but it is not always suitable for a child - it can be spicy. And again, fruit.
Fruits, by the way, were of high quality. The green-looking oranges were actually ripe and sweet.
Oranges, apples, melon (quite edible) and grapes were constantly offered. In addition, nectarines, pears, bananas were often present. Once (on the last day) we were treated to figs.

The hotel staff is friendly and helpful, always ready to help. Once, the receptionist on duty helped us out a lot: my wife forgot her bag on the municipal bus. The hotel employee contacted the route administrator at the terminal, described the problem, found out where our loss was. Then she instructed us where to go and what to do in order to return the loss.
The hotel staff, like, apparently, all Cypriots, speak Greek and English. Many inhabitants of the island learn Russian. But still, it is better to know English, at least at the school level. It makes life easier.

The hotel rooms have kitchens with equipment (microwave, kettle, refrigerator, dishes). All this is included in the price of the room.
The key card for the safe is provided on a deposit (10 euros). The same goes for beach towels. By the way, it is better to hand over towels in advance, because the laundry, where they are issued and, accordingly, accepted, does not work around the clock. The hotel does not provide adapters for electrical outlets, you need to buy it yourself.
For children on site there is a playground - swings, slides, turntables. There is a children's club with a polyglot teacher. The Russian language is on her list.

The service at the hotel is at the level of 3 stars, and if you compare it with Spain or Turkey, then it doesn’t even draw on s *. Nobody cleans the territory (fallen flowers, asphalt clogged with birds), bath towels - concrete rags (I won’t give such guests to my country house for anything, but here the hotel is 5 * !!!!! ). … More ▾ The service at the hotel is at the level of 3 stars, and if you compare it with Spain or Turkey, then it doesn’t even draw on s *. The bottom of the sea on the beach would also do well to be cleaned of stones, it is unpleasant to go into the sea. Soap, shampoo and shower gel you have to ask through the reception, or you can buy in the store. Here is 5* for you!! ! No cook. You have to go to town for dinner. In general, if you close your eyes to everything, you can rest.

I sincerely wonder why there are so many rave reviews about the Kermia Beach hotel and why everyone considers it just a super place to relax with kids. The children's menu is missing as a class. Moreover, you can’t feed a child too much from an adult table. Fruits are served only for dinner - these are bananas, apples, pears, kiwi. … More ▾ I sincerely wonder why there are so many rave reviews about the Kermia Beach hotel and why everyone considers it just a super place to relax with kids. The children's menu is missing as a class. Moreover, you can’t feed a child too much from an adult table. Fruits are served only for dinner - these are bananas, apples, pears, kiwi. For breakfast, there is a choice of canned peaches and canned fruit salads. For me it was a big surprise. Many thanks to Lyudmila for dissuading us from buying dinner - we had dinner at the hotel restaurant once and were not delighted. We didn't like the food at the hotel.
There is a mini market on the territory - there is a minimum set of products, molds for kids, water, a minimum of souvenirs, magazines, etc. You can also buy an adapter for an outlet there, but we were somehow lucky and we took it along with towels for free use-)
Nutrition:
Breakfast: cereals, sliced cheeses and sausages, scrambled eggs (ready-made, there are no options for making fried eggs, as in many other hotels), toasts, various buns, croissants, butter, jam, chocolate, boiled eggs, pizza, bacon, sausages and, well, other little things. Juice is not freshly squeezed, but from packages.
Dinner: a couple of salads, fruits, pasta, hot one kind of meat or fish. There is no question of the possibility of feeding a child at least boiled vegetables such as broccoli or carrots - one day it is a choice (cauliflower, carrots, broccoli), the next day is not. How so? The hotel positions itself as a great place for families with children, but there is no children's menu at all.
There is a huge supermarket within a 10 minute drive from the hotel. There we bought fresh zucchini, cauliflower, broccoli, there you can also buy baby food in jars (mostly scourge nat, Nestle, only fruit gerberas), children's cottage cheese (fruit). They took porridge with them, a mixture (drinks at night) and several cans for the first time. They fed the child at home, and when they themselves went to eat in a restaurant, they gave him something to eat - cereal and bread and butter for breakfast, fish for dinner. By the way, a 10-minute walk from Kermia (on the main road, to the right) there is a Limnara tavern. They have great food there! The freshest fish (never ate meat in 10 days, all the time fish). Hospitable host, delicious food - what else do you need for happiness?  For the price it turns out like a dinner at a hotel, but the food is really tastier. In addition to the tavern, there are no more restaurants near the hotel. A day later we went to Ayia Napa to the port, there are many fish restaurants. Found one with a playground inside (Marcos tavern). They came, let the child go to the playground (it is located inside, directly in the restaurant itself) - and we feel good, and the child is not bored.
Territory:
The territory is not small, but the real part, in which you will spin all the time, is on one tiny heel. Here is just a restaurant (which serves breakfast and dinner), another restaurant (did not work with us), a bar, access to the beach, an adult pool, slot machines, a billiard table, minigolf. You can rent a bike (we even saw one with a child seat). From children's entertainment there is also a swimming pool and a small playground (one slide and three swings). A little further along the path there is another small playground - a slide and a swing. To be honest, I was expecting more opportunities.
The beach is sandy with few stones. On the beach - sunbeds, umbrellas and tables (everything is free, like by the pool) + water sports (a scooter for 15 minutes costs 40 euros). The entrance to the sea is also sandy with a small amount of stones. There is a breakwater near the shore (20 meters from the shore). Before it, the sea is very shallow (you can swim, but your knees cling)  And then the depth begins. We rested from 29.04 to 09.05. The sea at this time is still cold - an average of 18 to 20 degrees. Our air temperature was on average 22-28. A couple of days was about 30ti.
There is a stone path along the beach to Ayia Napa (you can walk along it with a stroller). Hike to the talk takes an average of 40-60 minutes. Very scenic trail with great views.
Accommodation:
There are only bungalows on the territory of the hotel - studio (one room), one bedroom (2 rooms - bedroom and living room) and two bedrooms (2 bedrooms and one living room). Each bungalow has its own lawn - some have more, some have less. Not all houses are well located - some are right next to the road, some “look” at the restaurant and the playground, and those in the center are the most successful in my opinion. Each bungalow has a kitchen, which is a definite plus when traveling with a child. In the living room there is a TV with only 18 channels. From Russian - only ORT. The kitchen has a stove with two burners, a kettle, a microwave, a toaster, a minimum set of dishes.
There are no baby chairs in the rooms. For kids, the so-called baby cot is brought to the house - a folding playpen-bed. Older kids sleep on small sofas. The main building has a small TV area in the lobby and one computer with internet.
In general, the hotel is not bad and it certainly has many advantages, but for such money and with such advertising, I really expected more. In my opinion, Kermia is no different from ordinary 4-star hotels, except perhaps for the presence of a kitchen in a bungalow and the presence of a simply super kids club.
Cons: food (terrible), no highchairs in the rooms (we adapted, but I think this is true for many), no children's table / menu, little children's entertainment.
Pros: sandy beach, location (quiet place, no discos, etc. ), the presence of a kitchen in the bungalow, a kids club, the ability to walk to Ayia Napa along the sea along a rocky path (with a stroller), the friendliness of the staff.
Kids club:
The kids club is run by Mimi, an energetic girl who can find a common language with every child. She speaks Russian with Russian children, German with German children, English with English children, and Greek with Greek children. The kids love her very much. And she knows so many crafts that it's never boring in the club! On Tuesdays, there is a children's disco in the club's vernada - we really liked it.
Some tips:
1. Do not take an individual transfer from an agency. There are no problems with a taxi in Cyprus (and an individual transfer is essentially a taxi) - within 10 minutes the car will drive to any place where you are. Employees will call you in any hotel, any tavern, pharmacy, taxi store.
2. Dinner in Kermia can be purchased on the spot. Do not rush to pay for it in Moscow. We do not regret not eating at the hotel. The food there is, to put it mildly, not very good.
3. Keep in mind that the hotel does not have a children's menu. Take something with you at least for the first time. The rest you can buy in the supermarket.
4. Currency of Cyprus - Cypriot pounds. 1 pound is approximately equal to 2 euros. Money can be changed at the airport or at the hotel reception. There is no ATM in the hotel, but they are in the city, as well as Banks. It seemed to me that Cyprus is quite an expensive resort. A taxi from Ayia Napa to Kermia costs 4 pounds (travel 4 km). The average dinner we had cost about 25-30 pounds for two (dinner at the hotel 12 pounds per person).
5. Shops are open every day except Sunday. Wednesday is a short day (until 14.00). Souvenir shops and small supermarkets are open until late in Ayia Napa. Minimarket on site closes around 3pm.
6. Excursions offered on the spot, in my opinion, are unreasonably expensive and sometimes not interesting. The room has a brochure about Cyprus + in the lobby of the main building you can find information about the sights in mini-brochures. There is an opportunity to go to Egypt or Israel (tours on liners).
7. It is possible to rent a car, motorcycle, quad bike or buggy (quad bike with a frame) - all this is in Ayia Napa.
8. It is better to fly with a child on a regular flight of Aeroflot Moscow-Larnaca (departure there at 9.40 in the morning, back at 14.00), so there is less risk of all kinds of overlays, delays or cancellations. If possible, take your child a separate ticket with a separate seat (usually agencies offer only a boarding pass for a child). A separate seat is very convenient, because I can’t imagine how we would spend 3.5 hours in a flight with a child on our laps. Kids on the plane are given entertainment sets (drawing, puzzles, "tags"). Please note that if you want to order special baby food for your child on the plane, this must be done in advance by calling Aeroflot. Children under 2 years old are entitled to a baby meal, children older - child meal. You can also book in advance the front seats on the plane - there is more space. The Aeroflot website has a special section that describes in detail the rules and rights of passengers with children. I recommend to take a look. Also note that you need to take the child's birth certificate with you (they may not issue it at the airport).
