Traveled with my husband in July 2010. Before the trip, I chose a hotel for a long time, read reviews, and settled on Holiday inn. Expectations and hopes were not justified. It is a pity for the money spent, the trip cost 120 thousand rubles. for 2 weeks, accommodation with sea view. The hotel does not correspond to the declared 5 stars. We arrived on the eve of Typhoon Conson. After the typhoon, the pool was cleaned for 3 days, although in the neighboring Grand Soluxe the pool was launched a day later. At sea, the wind broke almost all the straw hats from the umbrellas, so they took them off the poles, put them in a pile and calmed down on this. It was impossible to walk on the sea, as there was nowhere to hide from the sun. Again, I repeat that in a nearby hotel everything was put in order in a day. With the onset of darkness, hordes of rats come out - they run along the lawns, on the beach along the sand, some kind of nightmare. The cuisine is monotonous, a Russian person can find something to eat (pastries, butter, scrambled eggs, rice, fried bacon, fruit), but after a week it is so annoying that it does not fit into the mouth. There is absolutely no entertainment. The music was turned on 3 times in two weeks, the music is "about nothing". A couple of dozen small inactive fish swam in the pool with fish, you can’t call it a massage. Most of the tourists are Chinese, they are accommodated in a room of 5 people, or even more. They are noisy, spit, spit, make all sorts of different sounds, in general, a very unpleasant neighborhood. In the evenings, locals come to the beach, occupy all the beds near the sea, after they leave, mountains of garbage remain, up to empty packs of washing powder. And it's all called 5 *. I do not recommend going to this hotel to people who are familiar with the high level of service of 5 * hotels, who expect comfort and a high level of service from the trip. And, in my opinion, Hainan itself does not deserve attention. I do not pretend to coincide with my opinion with another vacationer, I expressed my point of view.
