Don't worry or go to the bathhouse! China-2017. Part 18. Fifty-eight Celsius.
Still the twelfth day and a bit of the thirteenth. Nithan village. Longsheng hot springs.
What girl doesn't love a spa? To scrape you smeared, rubbed, crushed, soared and nursed. To candles, aroma oil, quiet music. . . To be completely relaxed.
I will say right away - there is nothing of this in the hotel. Although, there is steam and there is probably a massage, but somehow we didn’t get to the last one.
When we took the elevator down to the spa area, it was dark and empty. Who knows these Chinese. Maybe the SPA is open on Sundays, or maybe after eight o'clock in the evening, or maybe it's just called a SPA, but there is no SPA here (see the previous chapter). Considering that the whole hotel was, from living people, only Nadia and me, then the absence of a SPA is not surprising. Surprising lack of staff.
This is a local reception)
Once, in Vietnam, I ended up in an empty amusement park. A bit scary, but very spacious) The same ambivalent feeling of “adyn savsem adyn” overtook me again.
However, I was not alone, Nadia was with me, and the staff in the form of two cute girls selling vacuum-packed chicken feet, we soon discovered.
I already wanted to eat.
In addition to a couple of cups of coffee and mountain marvelous berries, a person also needs real food. And, unfortunately, it was nowhere to be found. The pavilion where paws were sold offered only sweet dough balls from hot ones. Maybe they are tasty, but I just wanted something salty. Having familiarized myself with the entire assortment, I began to look predatory at the paws, for lack of anything else that would seem edible to me. But we had no money with us, and bracelets are not provided in this hotel.
Without salty slurping, we stomped back to the room for money and remembered just in time that just for such an occasion, we had a strategic stock in store - two homeless bags two cans of wonderful Chinese synthetic noodles.
The noodles turned out great! It was hot, tasted identical to natural, it had all the vitamins and minerals, and most importantly - it had a fork that folded in half! Now I have a camping fork and gastritis.
From our window a waterfall is visible you can see a bridge and a river merrily jumping over the pebbles, creating an absolutely wonderful melody of running water and the illusion of a waterfall.
You don't even have to go anywhere. Sit on the low windowsill near the huge window and look and listen to nature.
And the sun warmed up, and the noodles spread deliciously throughout the body, and the water gurgles so lullingly... But it would be a crime to fall into such a hotel and just take a nap, right? )
After eating, they say, hot baths are not recommended, but it is recommended to walk in the fresh air. Therefore, we pull ourselves together and go for a walk.
The territory is small, but very beautiful. You can not swim at all, just stare around for the whole thousand yuan.
There are not many baths, especially compared to Syli. Some are not baths at all, but simply reservoirs with very hot water. 58 degrees is unimaginable, we wash bed linen at this temperature at home.
Near the pond 50 degrees. Neither there nor there, people did not bathe. I didn't even find how to get down there.
There is a pool with fish, but the fish are not hungry it does not work. Several times I came up to look, and did not understand why it did not work. There were fish in the pool.
Swimwear is sold behind the turnstiles. Actually, Chinese women all bathe in swimsuits-dresses. We were in our regular bathing suits. I am whole, Nadya is separate.
A very colorful bridge opposite the entrance to the central hotel. I would say - the bridge of wind and rain, forgive me Chenyang fans)
There are not very many baths themselves, but people in general, once or twice, have been counted. A couple of ancient old women, a man in a pool where you can only soar with your feet, and the family of our driver.
Very soon we decided that the noodles had already been digested, and we had been driving here for such a long time that it was time for us to start steaming. That is, to sip. That is, take hot baths)
All day long it began and then stopped a little rain, it is very pleasant at the hot springs, it creates a contrast and cools the body enough not to feel overheated. At the same time, the steam that envelops the mountains adds a lot to the atmosphere. You lie in hot water, look at the steaming mountains and you feel so good!
It is especially pleasant to watch how hot water rolls over the pebbles from the upper levels.
It is a pity that the music played for a short time and very quietly. It was only heard in the cool pool, where I was freezing.
And the baths themselves are very different from those in Syl. Water gurgled there and an electronic thermometer showed the temperature. Here, the temperature was written from the ceiling on the plates and did not correspond at all to what we felt.
Worst of all, the temperature was either too hot or too cold. Moreover, in the large pool, where 32 is written and the depth allowed for swimming, the water was too hot, and in the shallow, lined with beautiful stones, cozy bath with the inscription 42, it was too cold to sit there.
At the hotel, at the reception, a girl appeared who was very kind, got up on the line as soon as we appeared in her field of vision and changed my bathrobe many times. I asked her about the massage, she said that you can call the room.
I immediately lost interest in massage. The entourage wanted, and not just medical procedures for a bunch of yuan. However, I did not find out the price.
Several times we moved from the upper hot pools for hotel guests to the shallow cool one below and vice versa. At the top, the views are steeper and the pipes are newer, but water does not flow from the pipes either there or there. Why pay more?
By evening, when tea was served, it was absolutely wonderful.
People came in large numbers, the pools were filled quite densely. Lights lit up everywhere, it became even more beautiful. But the music was not turned on. I didn't think to check the spa, maybe something started working there at that time.
By seven o'clock in the evening we were incredibly clean, but terribly hungry. There is no perfection in the world.
We asked our girlfriend where we could have dinner, after pulling three times the lock on the door with the inscription "restaurant". The girl said that we need to go to the central hotel, where we were registered.
There were many people in the restaurant, mostly large companies at huge round tables. In China, such tables are very common, with a spinning large disk in the center. All dishes are placed on this disk and everyone spins it, Field of Miracles in Chinese thus attracting the dish to himself, and puts a little of everything on the plate.
The choice of food became a fun entertainment not only for us, but also for the three employees of the restaurant, who, using all the means at hand and pantomime, accepted our order with a sigh of relief, about half an hour after the start of the debate. The main issue was fish, which I really wanted, but they didn’t want to serve it to me. I did not resist for long, remembering that the Chinese would not advise bad things, but the choice of a new dish baffled me. In the end, you will laugh, we ordered cucumbers and potatoes. This time it was french fries. As a consolation prize, we, with grief in half, chose a duck with chestnuts.
Have you ever eaten chestnuts? I have eaten them twice in China. Perhaps somewhere in France it is a really tasty thing, but in China it is another culinary horror. Moreover, this time was the first time, how I managed to buy them for the second time, I'll never know.
Okay, chestnuts, if you don't like it, don't kiss it, but the duck itself requires a more detailed description. Do you remember Nadya and I ate duck in Beijing? When did the cook cut off all the pulp from the bones and take the bones somewhere? So, now we chopped these bones finely and baked them with chestnuts.
The meat is very tasty! Pafter a whole day on one homeless bag. But the entire large dish of meat was about fifty grams. That is, we ate meat in Beijing)
But the most important thing in the duck was not even the bones. The most important sweets were: a head cut into three parts and a duck foot.
I even tried to chew on the foot, it was rubber. The eye sees, but the tooth is numb.
Pokolupavshis, with a smart look, in the bones with chestnuts, we finished our cucumbers, crunched potatoes, licked our fingers and dumped a hefty handful of yuan for such a tasty treat. I honestly don't remember exactly how much it cost, although not sky-high (otherwise I would have remembered), but it was not cheap.
With a light heart stomach, we went to bed. Rather, Nadia stayed in the room to rest, and I went to get some steam, everything was paid for, what is there.
Before the trip, I was interested in how hot springs are harmfuluseful to me. And I found out that hot springs are useful in small doses for almost everyone. There are only two contraindications:
1. Tumors of all kinds (including fibroids)
2. Hypertension of any etiology.
Water is useful for people with cardiovascular diseases, despite high temperatures. It is enough to follow a few rules (this is for all rules, not only for cores):
1. The higher the temperature of the water, the less time you can stay in it.
2. Do not immerse the heart area in water.
3. The optimal time spent in a hot tub is 10 minutes.
4. If the water is below body temperature, you can stay in it for 45 minutes.
5. The total time spent in hot springs should not exceed 2 hours.
The first three points are performed by ourselves, you just can’t sit still anymore, you want to cool off. The fourth - too, it's boring to sit in one place for 45 minutes. And the last one is impossible, I tell you for sure. What 2 hours? ) At about three o'clock in the afternoon, we began to improve. And by seven o'clock we went to have dinner.
And, moreover, I suffered to take a steam bath for the coming dream)
At eleven o'clock I went to bed. By this time the pools were filled with an incredible number of Chinese. Whether all this is closed at night, I don’t know, but in the morning there were still a lot of people.
In the morning the most pleasant thing happened to us in this wonderful hotel - Breakfast!
Breakfast was held in the same restaurant, which was locked yesterday. It was tasty, varied, unhurried. Quiet Chinese music played. Although, the latter, perhaps, I dreamed, you need to ask Nadia. There was a lot of food, we approached, took it for a sample, and oh, a miracle, we liked the food! There were only a few people in the dining room besides us, they also quietly had breakfast and the whole atmosphere was so calm, truly oriental resort. We didn't even want to leave)
It was our best breakfast of the whole trip)
I remembered breakfast in Furong, where soup was served, pouring it in line, into small bowls. All this was so uncomfortable that it remained in my memory like a fly in the ointment in Furong's honey barrel. It's good that I ran away to have breakfast at the waterfall.
And here we didn’t expect anything special, all the more pleasant was the surprise)
We were not going to leave early, we didn’t have any special plans for Guilin, so after breakfast, we packed our things and calmly sat down in the pool, which for some reason we didn’t get into yesterday. And there was the most comfortable temperature.
At some point, Nadia got tired and left. And I stayed, soaking up the last minutes of relaxation. A Chinese uncle joined me. Well, I think, maybe it’s customary, there are not so many pools here, he doesn’t step on his feet, he doesn’t push with his elbows, let him sit. And I see - we are photographed. I don’t know whether the uncle climbed into the water on purpose to pose against my background, or it just happened. I suddenly realized that it means to be a star already walked up and it's time to go.
There is a short rest in the room, a quick shower, we dry our hair, we pack our wet bathing suits securely and we go to check out. In Chinese hotels they always take a deposit, the main thing is not to forget to pick it up when leaving) We also ask for a check for accommodation, it takes a lot of time, I have the word "check" written somehow to a friend and they don't understand me. We suffer for a long time, but they give us a check. I'm afraid that Booking might charge me a no-show, so the check is important. By the way, I contacted Booking, they replied that they had contacted the hotel and they knew that I had checked in, but they had to cancel my reservation, "in order to avoid debiting funds. " However, my review has been published. Some strange story.
Even more strange was that when we asked for a ride to the bus stop, they told us to wait 10 minutes, and after 10 minutes it turned out that it would take 10 minutes to get to the bus stop, but there would be no car.
It takes less than 10 minutes to go there, all the time down along the river, to the wooden bridge (past the stone one! ), then go through the bridge and wait for the bus. Without local residents, we would hardly have found this bus, the stop is not marked in any way.
This photo was taken right at the bus stop:
The nature around is very beautiful. Such a colorful suspension bridge, mountains, a river - the places are very pleasant. I regret that I did not organize a trip along this road with stops for photos.
I also took this photo while standing at the bus stop.
China is a land of bridges.
Bridges in China are so different! Their architecture is amazing, but the covered bridges are my favorite. They are not just beautiful, they can hide from bad weather or cool off on a hot day.
Stone bridge to pass by:
The bus takes you to the Longsheng bus station for 9 yuan per person. Thus, on our third visit to Longsheng, we finally found a bus station! )
The way to Guilin and the city itself in the next series. I can only say that we liked Guilin very much, but we allocated too little time for it.
