The hotel is located in Lugano Paradiso. We specially chose the hotel in this place, because it is very close to the pier and to the Monte San Salvatore funicular. The hotel is located in some side street, opposite the Holiday Inn, but everywhere there are signs to it, so we found it without any problems. It's not in the very center of the city, but Lugano is so small that it won't take long to walk along the lake to the center.
The hotel does not have its own car park, but you can park in a car park not far from the hotel. Pay at the reception and get a ticket (parking card). You arrive at the indicated parking lot, Autosilo (3-5 minutes walk to it), and then everything is as usual. To your left is an automatic machine, you press the button, you get a coupon, but you DO NOT NEED it, you can throw it away. After checking into the hotel, there were many plans, but circumstances developed in such a way that we only walked around the city of Lugano in the late afternoon: along the lake, along the promenade, in the center, past shops and boutiques, which were all closed. Only a few restaurants were open. In this regard, I compared Lugano to Stresa, where everything is open until late at night, all the shops, all the restaurants, cafes ...and tourists all around.
Lugano seemed to us very sparsely populated, semi-desert, more calm.
